Yeah, his j.B -> j.A combos were a lot more hype in CS2 because they were infrequent and hard to pull off. Now if you don't that string for every darn midscreen combo, you're not being optimal. It's taken away a bit of his novelty. :\

Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters

^ That's an excellent thread with a lot of info to get you going, but it's also a lot to get into all at once. Many combos are listed, but I'm not sure which one I should go for or what's most optimal, etc. My real question is "what should I be looking for in there?". -
Eb, your fave 6c -> Shippu is back! :D Yes, some very interesting combos in there. It seems like Zantetsu is now a viable move given he seems to always go for it whenever sitting on on stars. CT-ish combo dmg seems to be back as well. Lovin' this new Haku. I'll miss my efficient killer from EX, but I'll be honest in saying he looks a lot more fun in CP.

Vice and I had matches last night. Pretty sure he means HS mist stance cancel, in which case you press HS while keeping the mist finer button pressed as well. Vice, you def. should come to Foonzo and talk to Rhannmah. He's the resident expert as I mentioned in my msg. Also, wtb Slayer knowledge. I want to access his more damaging combos, but the Slayer forums are all over the place. ;_; -

Moy, one easy way to get used to stick is to map buttons like on pad. There's less adjusting to the new layout in that case. Using the joystick for stuff can feel a bit jarring at first, but I find it very natural. Pad player here, btw. I might make the transition to stick, but it costs a bit too much for my taste atm. -

My very unscientific observation has shown that the OD/Burst gauge recharges in about 45s. So OD'ing right off the bat might not be such a bad proposition after all since matches can easily go on for 45-60s. Whether you win or lose the round, you'll have your gauge back in no time. -
I use pad setup on my GG: P S HS R K D Works like a charm. Makes it very efficient to move between pad and stick.

GGs Psycho for the games the other day. I forgot to say GG. D: Btw, I think you missed it, but I got to Astral B_G's Relius. We were both sitting on Astrals wondering who'd land his first. T'was glorious. I need to play you too, sir. We should get some matches in. -

^ You've forged your use of counters in long hours spent contemplating their essence atop snowy mountains. I think you're a cut above the rest. -

Next tourney for me is likely going to be UMAD. I haven't seen that much interest in WB, tbh. -

While I will always believe HOS has the best-looking combos in GG, he wasn't meant for me. So Slayer it is. I like his normals more because he can command respect without moving an inch. Most times, anyway. -

For those interested, Blood_Gemini is playing the game again in anticipation of CP Nu. He's still just as beast with Lamb as he was with Nu, though with the caveat that Lamb is still easier to deal with than Nu. -

^^ Ah, thanks, that makes a lot more sense. I thought he was referring to a roll or quick rise, which would be detrimental choices in that case. -

Lol, no such thing as a guaranteed blue beat. What he's describing is a tech trap, but I don't get the mechanics of it. Any vids or something? -

I'm not sure I follow. Emergency roll (quick rise?) and rolls in general have no invincibility to them, but neutral tech does. So why would you do that rather than neutral tech? You'll never get hit out of neutral tech if you're blocking as you should. -

Ah, I'll put it down to netplay, then. Good to know, though. I know which move to abuse next time. :D @Ctrl: no blue beat is guaranteed. If you mean you can keep the combo going if you don't tech, then yes, that's the case. Plenty of moves do that (actually, that's all of them. You should always tech ). -

GGs Mrs. Cookie. You had some good stuff there! Your 6k combos especially hurt. ;_; I noticed you didn't tech after my normal hit 3Cs. I can't combo off 3c unless it's CH. Otherwise I get free corner carry. Just something I noticed. -
