I got JP version yesterday and this is correct. Honestly, it might as well be what we'll get here in NA. Opening screens will just be in English instead. Also, maybe it's just JP version here, but NO SHORTCUT OPTION WHY ARC WHY. No, it doesn't take much time to remake a match, but it's still an awesome feature for quick back-to-back matches. D:

I saw a stream last night. Very mixed feelings on the new FX, UI, and general artwork/graphics stuff added. New moves and characters are cool in general at least. Best feature is def. faster gameplay. But overall, it feels like they're trying way too hard and it comes off a bit too over-the-top. BB may have jumped the shark with this, but we'll see.

Ok, considering this new development a few things need to be taken into account. First off, the rental place I've been looking at is Thrifty, specifically the Dollard-des-Ormeaux location. Here is their legalese section, as well as a more general FAQ. Couple notes: - When renting, all drivers must sign documents stating they will be designated drivers. - I am not sure if drivers need to be 25 minimum. The renter (yours truly) needs to be to avoid the surcharges, but I don't believe it is specific about the rest. - I'll have to look up later on insurance policies and all that if we want some. Don't want to be hit with a $10k+ liability if we total the car or it gets stolen or something.

Thanks for the info, guys. I don't know what style I'm aiming for yet. I just know I like my characters to have good hp/def. on them and burst damage as well, which is why I sub Slayer on the side. HOS' mobility and capacity to keep up pressure makes me like him more than Slayer, though.

Lol, I was supposed to have a comeback with my Hakumen, but turns out it's Eb that's come out on top instead. Good shit, my man! Well, it's ok on my end. I really don't have the same burning desire to win as I did back in '08-'10, so I'm not sure I'll ever get really good again. I sort of lost my passion for FGs sometime in early '11, but the flame is still there and you guys are gdlk awesome, so I'm still in it. Yes, quite right. If everyone chips in for the car rental, then for fairness' sake everyone's transport costs should be averaged between those of us going by car. So it would come out to something like this: Car1: $120 for rent 5x $60 for gas = $300 (high end estimation) Mileage rate is $.22 per km, with 200 free/day or 800 total over 4 days = ~800 * .22 = $176 Total: $596 Car2: $300 gas Total: Call it $900. Total per dude: $112.5, or $97.5 in a best-case scenario of only 4 gas fill-ups. It comes out to less than a Greyhound, so it should be the logical choice. ... Unless I missed something, of course.

... I'd offer my car, but that thing is on its last legs and the right tie rod is giving out. Some emergency repairs would be necessary to make it road-worthy for a trip of this length. But that said, I thought transportation was all worked out? If we decide to rent a car, the rates I just checked up would be ~$120 minimum for a 4-day trip. So about ~$40-50 each (roughly including gas) if we fill it up with people? EDIT 1: Actually, scratch that. My calculation was way off there. Gas cost would easily make it more like $100 each for car rent + gas. Close to the Greyhound fare... EDIT 2: And... Scratch that again. I didn't notice that they also charge per kilometer, making total rent cost closer to $150 each, lol. Might just have to do the Greyhound idea after all...

Alright! So GG's going to be out on PSN here soon, and the local community's been getting more and more hyped about the game as well, so I figured it's about time I learned HOS properly. So, how outdated is the current combo list? Is there any more current list? Similarly, how much can I rely on the info in the HOS section here? I think a lot of it may be outdated as well... Also, how should I decide on an approach with HOS? His range is limited and just running up to the other character can be hazardous. What can I do? I'll start with that for now. More to come as I get more proficient with the game.

^ I think by and large people are just plain better players ever since FGs exploded in popularity back in 2008. It's now not uncommon to get a whole new game and most already at least have fundamentals down. It's a tough world out there, yo.
