Yes, sort of. Basically, his current combos are all about spending stars early on, then riding the combo for the proration he has left. Midscreen, you'll more or less average ~3k+, and in the corner you'll get ~4k+. The way his combos work now, there is no reason to spend much more than 3 stars for efficiency reasons. Spending more doesn't provide better (or even different) results; it's basically a waste to add more special moves than you need. What I've been thinking of is rather a system where you get to decide how much dmg you deal, but it costs stars. So if you have 8 stars, then you can really dish it if you wanted to. It adds a wild card element to his combos and would promote some creativity over the current Renka(K) corner carry stuff we have right now that's pretty much standardized across all normal starters. While his combos look cool, a bit more diversity would be welcome. Plus, I just plain like burst dmg. Haku doesn't really have any in EX. His average dmg output is fairly even all told.

You know what I'd really like to see out of Hakumen? More control over star use -> dmg. As it is, stars are used for special moves, but more stars doesn't always equal more dmg dealt. His output as of EX is actually quite linear. What I thought would be cool would be that the more stars he uses in a combo the more dmg he dishes out. He used to be that way in CT, sorta. His burst dmg was at least much more potent than it is now, and made it a bit more unpredictable to know when to burst, I think.

^ I think you need about $200-300. Been a while since I've gone tourney-ing, so this number might be off. You'll need your passport too, of course. Aside from that, a fresh set of clothes for the weekend (+deodorant!), a willingness to withstand sleeping with 4-6 other dudes in the same room (yes homo), and plenty of hype is all you need. -

Sophisticat in this NEC, aww yeah! So, what do I need? Passport's a given. Money's not a prob. My body is ready. Anything else? Also, might be there this thursday. :D -
No way, man. Mak's is relatively easy to get because she doesn't have many strings that go into it and you can get a good feel for it because the startup is 22f. Still, 6a -> Jayoku has got to be the most rage-inducing overhead. Hate that shit with a passion, but so good to punish with free 5c CH.
-
It's hella telegraphed, though. Among the easier animations to spot, imo. I hate Jin 6a, Bang 5c, Ragna 6b, etc. more because they're harder to notice.

Y'all can pay by bank transfer, I think. It should resolve the "can't physically be there" situation. -
Mac, this is why you've got Mack in you. As for me, I don't even know any of his quotes, lololol. But I love almost his entire moveset... which is one reason why I use him, lol.

Nothing cuts through Akumetsu, though. It's the final Void! *Dun dun dun*

I hear you, bro. Trying to ride a bike in this weather just strips you of all warmth in a matter of minutes (if not seconds if taking the freeway)! Btw, Kaeru, I went on a bike ride with my uncles a couple weeks ago and the trail we took was suuuuuuper awesome! I forget which roads they were (close to St-Agathe, though), but it was the twistiest ride I've had yet. C'est super facile de te planter, esti! Anyway, this is what I have in mind these days -----> [MOTORCYCLES] :D -
SEX Haku has overall the best normals. Not much to argue with here, j.B trumps everything. Between the rest, CS1 Hak def. has the best, dude. He could get reasonable dmg off anything and had good corner carry to boot. CS2 Hak mostly got nerfs from here aside from proration on C moves. Special cancel 4c isn't good enough to overcome his nerfs here. And j.C nerf as well. And 6b.
-
FFFFFFFF... I keep forgetting just how much dmg he actually could dish out. 5k after 5D? Lololol... I checked some of his old combos. I used to be all over 6c CH because that was his best normal starter. It turns out 6c CH -> 5c -> Dustloop did 5k. 2 stars. 5k. Friggin' insane.

I don't think we're going to come to an agreement here. It basically boils down to: Better hit confirm < ----- > More damage Take a left for CS2 Haku, right for CT. Personally, I'd take the higher dmg over better tools so CT Haku'd be my choice. Some would prefer being able to land more hits for less dmg. So it depends.
-
CT Haku wasn't that bad. Neutral game he had 5/2a, 5b, 6a, 6b, Hotaru, and counters. J.2c was faster as well, and his meter gain was arguably the best we'll ever get. Can't forget his huge burst dmg potential too. Everything else sucked, lol, but that doesn't make CT his worst iteration. You could turtle until you found the right opening and blow them up once you had an opening because meter gain and sheer, absurd dmg (6k midscreen w/5 mag, lolwut) compensated for some of his weaknesses. If top 3 weren't so dominating, then I think he'd move up a bit in the matchup chart. CS2 Haku had more/better tools for the most part, but his meter gain and lowered/more even dmg output sort of crippled his capacity to take advantage of them. That didn't stop Spark from winning EVO, but then again that's Spark for ya. Personally, from worst to best: CS2 CT CS1 SEX :D

Dem capital letters. ._.; -
I really like his current versatility, but I also think he should primarily be a hard-hitter since that's what he looks like. Big ass sword, strong sense of justice, very strong char. story-wise, etc. Giving him CT monster dmg back might be a bit much, though. I'm sure there's some sort of balance that can be achieved.

Wut? Vesperia is out in NA on Ps3? How did I not know this? Loved Symphonia and Abyss myself as well as the bits of Phantasia that I played. I wouldn't mind getting some more. Can't make it tonight, though (as usual ). Maybe another time. -

Congrats, you guys! Good shit getting 4 guys in top 5 in BB! -
Hrmph, I'm starting to get soured on the changes despite saying otherwise earlier. Might be time to drop BB, not just Haku... I reached my peak with CS1 Haku anyway and I suppose I can be content with that.
-
Seems like Haku's new air combo will be something like: [stuff] -> j.2a -> dj.2c -> Agito Not bad looking for a staircase combo, but I dunno how I feel about loss of j.2a pushback yet.
