^ Wir sollten Deutsch sprechen. Brice, vergessen die doujins. Holen Sie sich auf mit diesem deutschen Porno! -
Spark can Hotaru A-92's nuts any day, biatch. Get @ me. :< Also, Eb. Your sig. Good shit. xD And yes, we Hakumens are prone to extremes of behaviour. Either we are here to save the world or destroy it, it's never right in-between. Good stuff, yo. It's ok if you can't get any Chin, I was just wondering if he was in the tourney is all. But if there are vids with him, then it is your prime duty to sniff them out!
-
No Chin a.k.a. Suzume? Needs some Chin in there. Whenever I see A-92, I keep getting underwhelemed by his performance. He's supposed to be like the best JP Haku, but I don't see what's so special about him. Chin, on the other hand... Also, I think it's Kyomusou, not Komusou. Another one of my favs. I think he's got some sharp moves on him. ----- Thanks for the list, though! Very appreciated.

----- Also, Kaeruuuuuuuu!! Might finally be going for a nice, long bike ride with my bro and his mentor this Friday evening. You're welcome to join us if you're free. :D -

Hello to the newbies! I'm usually the first guy to visit since I suck and can give a confidence boost to those who need it from my very consistent, losing strategy. "You down on the mat? Go give it to Sophisticat!" or so we say around here. :D ------ Also, my bike is finally insured! Now I just need a new helmet and I'm set. Micheal "The Ru" Kaeru, ready when you are! -

O_O 1000 pardons! I'd type more, but NASTY wound on my finger from Sunday night, so can't type, lol. Funny story, though, so I'll type that one out properly when I can. -

Kaeru's his nick, yeah. Real name is Rus. It seems ECT is this weekend and I believe he's going, so I think you're out of luck. I don't have his cell either if he has one. I think they're coming back either on Sunday evening or Monday morning. Tk, crushez les Anglais! I'll be rooting for Team MTL. :D -

Have fun, Brice! Don't forget to check out les belles Parisiennes. Lol, I get up at 3am these days, so I dunno. I should go one of these days, though. We'll see. Yo damn! I might to have to pass on my title of Sophisticat! Stay classy, Pedro. -

Oh snap, that'd be super-awesome! I've had a tougher time getting in practice than anticipated, so this would really help, dude! And yeah, anytime you're ready. I won't rush ya. :D Also, Kaeru got mod status too! Frick, I think I need to apply for Haku mod now just to stay competitive. -

Not going to MAT, no BB. I like martinis. Fuck mosquitos. -
Welp, seems like I'll be playing more Slayer than HOS in AC+R.

My bro who goes to ETS is quite proud of this fact, as he is keen to remind me. ------ Also, Pedro is mod now. Congrats! Guess that means you're moving up the skill ladder. I still remember a wee lil' player adamant his main was Lambda or Arakune or Platinum or whatever. And now he's all a grown man, building laser fortresses and shit. Brings a tear to my eye, it does. :'D -
Looking awesome, and I barely play GG myself. Lovin' the visuals on the HOS effects, though. Going to be wild! Also more efficient use of meter is very much needed. I'll defer to Mr. MacArthur for the slayer tech. He knows what's what.

Turtling does not have to be passive. If you have very good space control, then they'll have a hard time getting in and you can go for the kill once they've become disconcerted that they can't get in a hit or that your defence is hard to crack. I should specify that it's best to be proactive. You can have a defensive style while still being very proactive. Passive play is merely letting the other guy take over whenever he wants to. In FG parlance, he's not respecting you. So yeah, any style works so long as you are proactive. Setting the pace and controlling the match is all that matters.

Hmm... Osuna mentioned probabilities -- that over a sample size of matches you'll have an average performance (whether this is 40 or 80% win rate). In competitive stuff, this is very true. Some wins/losses are due to plain luck, and others to plain skill. What really matters is not winning, but getting to a point where an average performance nets you >50% win rate. I also mentioned in an earlier, much-maligned thread of mine the importance of the "competitive edge". As in, "what is it that will net you positive expectancy over the long run?" No one can answer that, it is something you develop as your skill grows and you find your niche/style. I'll note that I've noticed one style seems to dominate, and that's "aggressive and unpredictable". Plenty of styles seem to work, though I've noted a passive approach has a net negative expectancy in the long run. Whatever other style you choose is yours and can win. You just have to develop it.

Anything goes, imo. Just don't be a dick.

[CSE] PSN Match Finder/GG Thread
Sophisticat replied to Amadeus46Art's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
So I hit 620 PSR today, and is it just me, or does it massively slow down once you're there? I used to get 7 PSR per win, now I'm getting, like, 1. ... The road to 800 PSR is paved with much salt! -
Passion. That is, imo, the only reason why anyone does anything competitive ever. If you have to make a living on that stuff, you really, really need to love what you do. It's the only thing that will keep you going when the going gets tough.

Contender for CSEX Haku worst matchup? There is literally very little you can do to gain an advantage. Tao has a very safe moveset and her mobility just outclasses Haku in a ton of ways. Even our usual capacity to control space is ineffective due to her fast normals. The only real area where I feel you can get yourself an edge is through getting in one corner-carry combo, then just kill her there by not letting up the advantage. Just brute force your momentum and make use of Haku's burst dmg through accumulated stars. It should make quick work of her low hp. So basically attempt a one-shot kill with a continuous assault, and you can't drop those combos. S'all I got, yo.

You're afraid of losing, and starting to feel that losing is natural. Don't fall into that trap, and just mentally dig yourself out of that. It's very negative.
