Mori explicitly stated in an interview that Nu was split because players found CP Nu to be too difficult to manage ( ) and they weren't willing to throw away Lambda's move set because a lot of people really enjoyed its playstyle. It seems they just dropped the ball a little bit in implementation. I'm sure they'll find their ground somewhere down the line with exactly what they want for the character.

Yes. It apparently hits.

操作性がエディ分身と同じように。 After scanning through his twitter, this is probably the original tweet everyone is referring to. The 操作性 is usually translated into operation or management, but I think it would be a bigger deal if it were the "act like Eddie" that we're taking it (where it goes away on block). I think it's just talking about how the dolphin is controlled.

You get an RRC if they're in hitstun. If that's the case, you're probably landing the 5K > f.S and then RCing too soon when you're doing the dolphin. Try delaying the RC a bit so they get out of hitstun. If they block the first two hits, then you shouldn't get an RRC at all, but if you wait too long, you'll get a PRC. Try to hit the RC right after May leaves the ground and starts her main dash. This will ensure that you get the trajectory you want when you YRC.

I forgot about the Crescent loops. Those were fun. Thanks for the clarification Errol. Bang was a monster that iteration..and he's always been a bad MU for us due to his tools.

If I remember correctly, the main change to CSII was that gravity seed lost its invulnerability. That reduced her tools a little, but she still had plenty of potential for pressure throughout CS with her long sickle storm oki (not to mention destroying guard primers with everything). She hovered around dead center in the tiers, which was a nice speculation of balance. Later in CP, she was considered one of the most honest and balanced by some because her gameplan was obvious, her drawbacks were obvious, she had no tricks or gimmicks, and it was all really in the hands of the player to make her work the way she was meant to. This is one of the reasons I really loved CP Nu more than any other iteration. I had a few matches to play around with CP2 Lambda about a month ago (due to Errol's recommendation) and the main thing that I saw as a drawback was the automatic second drive. I felt it really restricted my options in movement and pressure in general. I'll, of course, play her on the side with Nu and see what happens when the new version hits in a few months.

I was fine with the old way, personally. I missed it occasionally on the 2P side, but I didn't feel that it was because of their input choice. Overall, it doesn't look like a ton changed. Priorities/damage/inputs mainly. I'm interested in seeing what comes of イルカ搭乗(Hop on Dolphin) if it can be utilized before the dolphin leaves the ground. We'll have to see. One thing that worries me is the Blitz Shield change for projectiles.

GGs to those I played. The rust is real and I played like trash, but I'm glad to be getting back into BB.

So, it's been a couple months for me, but I threw the game in a couple days ago to try to get back into the feel of things and it was pretty barren. Are you guys active in player rooms nowadays or back in the lobbies? I'd like to get back into it if possible. It felt alien after being gone for so long and grinding out GG.

That would heavily depend on what I'm punishing...so I'd have to say no. I don't have a go-to punish combo.

You know, that looks A LOT like some random DL hate mail I received when I decided to not play Uniel seriously. It made me laugh a bit, but now I feel that if it IS the same person, he has no other material. What a shame.. For reference (Spoiler tag for language/etc.): That being said, calling someone you don't know a "scrub" online is hard to see as a joke. You can't discern tone in a text message, especially without knowing the sender.

I wouldn't say that you can charger "faster" per se, but make sure you're utilizing directions with normals that don't have special moves associated with them thus allowing you to start your charge earlier. 2K should be inputted as 1K if you're going to use a horizontal dolphin later in the combo. (i.e. 2k > 2D > 6S/H Dolphin becomes 1K > 1D > 6S/H Dolphin) Her specials and normals have been created with that in mind. The same goes for chargeable moves like 6P/H. As soon as you start charging, you can start holding back/down and the move will still come out when you release the button. Think ahead on what your plan is and change your normals accordingly. It becomes normal for you as you play so don't worry.

I especially like the first and last paragraphs. Well said.

Those are always good for a laugh. I didn't know they had an Xrd one. Thanks.

I played against a Tager when I was over there. His wallbounce mechanics give him great damage and position off of many random hits. I didn't invest a lot of time into the game, but I saw many a Tager capitalize off of seemingly random hits to change the course of a match. I didn't have the experience with the new game to really analyze my options at the time, but ending waking up at Tager's feet is never a fun place to be..especially as Nu...and that's exactly where I ended up staying.

There is possibly a small community there for GG. The majority play SFIV, but I believe there are still a couple. I lived there until a year ago and another major air-dasher player is leaving next week. I would suggest looking into the Arkansas Fighting Game Network FB group as that's where most of them congregate. They have weekly meetups and, though the player composition has probably changed since I left, I know of at least one or two GG players around. When I was still there, we had GG ranbats and quite a few BB players.

I just DLed it and it runs great on a Galaxy S2. It's missing a little information for certain characters, but that is something that will obviously be added in. I think it's a nice application and am looking forward to your updates. Good job.- 90 replies

I like the playstyle change and added utility of her projectiles in this version. I didn't really play her much in AC, but I'm really enjoying what she can do in this one. I hope they keep with it in any updates.

6K is throw invulnerable, however 5K is not. If you're getting thrown out of 6K, you're probably timing it incorrectly. I usually go for 2K > 2D, but I'm sure there is a situation where the 2P in the beginning would be beneficial.

Good shyt. I'm so ready to be back in the states for some quality lab time with all of this. Playing the best at Mikado and such is great, but having only played the game/character for a couple weeks, I don't think I can get near as much out of it as I could if I was more proficient with the game. At this stage, lab time is a must and you guys keep scanning and finding such good study material. Keep it up, your effort is appreciated.

I haven't seen Uki, but Roi is extremely impressive to see. I was in his 3v3 team with Karinchu last week at Mikado and the way he plays was on another level. He's very laid back and doesn't hit ANY buttons he doesn't need besides plinking certain moves. He was completely comfortable with the pace of the match and what was going on. I've only played the game for a week, so I was stomped, but he would just sit down, laugh, and make jokes with me while destroying the other team. It was very impressive to see.

I find using both to be effective. Change it up and keep them guessing. I'll even go for a meaty 6[H] on wake-up if I don't have time to set up or it seems they're still scrambled from the last heated exchange. She has a lot of tools and they can be used in a lot of different ways. Keep them on their toes.

I'm not against your B) route. However, with our current resources, B) takes less than 10 minutes, so it comes back to your priorities. By all means, wait until you have all of the information at your disposal before you make a decision, but it doesn't take months to get there. ..and as an aside, the fastest way to gain all of that information would be playing a copy yourself (not necessarily your own), which goes back to StylisH's point of personal playing experience.

This is very true. I'm not saying I would be happy with all of those removed. I enjoy all of those things. However, with those removed, I'd just have to take that into consideration when determining the product's worth TO ME. In my example, I was talking about CP as it shipped, which included all of those things. I was simply saying to weigh your priorities and spend the money if it is worth it to you. I think we were given a long video detailing the console versions and features specifically for GG before it shipped as well. I could be wrong, but I think I remember that. The new CP has a ton of time to release that kind of information before it is released. That being the case, why would you have to spend the money to find out anything? Especially with a site like Dustloop that compiles the impressions and information from a large group of the game's customer-base.
