  1. GGs guys. It looks like it'll take me a bit longer to get back into the game. I look forward to more in the future.
  2. Ah.. I'm having problems with the timings and range of things mostly, it seems. I really like hold-to-tech, but now I'm not sure when I'll fall out and I find myself tapping like GG.
  3. Ok. I'm so terrible now. lol. Also, I'll be leaving in about 20 minutes or so for the gym....did that Relius's super always have this range? I feel so bad. haha
  4. I was mainly thinking in terms of games that originate from the arcade. Dissidia was built for the PSP from the ground up. The recent arcade endeavors of SE (Gunslinger Stratos/School of Ragnarok/etc.) have been pretty advanced. I don't count out the possibility of them scaling it down to handheld levels, but I think it would be much easier for them to port it to something like a PS4 where they also have a stable customer base.
  5. I've got a room up to dust some rust off if anyone is interested.
  6. I would expect it to have some arcade time before it goes to consoles. This is a series rooted heavily in the consoles, after all. As for your example, do remember that Full Boost went to PS3 and not Vita.
  7. Oh, ok. Thank you. That being the case, I don't think it's much different than baiting someone's wake-up DP. Conditioning opponents will always be a part of the game, so system mechanics like this will always have a use. I guess that was the point I was trying to make.
  8. I'll be there and play some BB with you Koopa.
  9. Perhaps autopilot is the wrong word. With certain moves like Elphelt's c.S, it beats enough things to where the thought process is reduced to "Are they in the air? c.S" I see that as a type of autopilot...and honestly, I've read that second sentence a few times and can't understand what you're trying to say. My apologies.
  10. I really enjoy BS. It can be used offensively to make an opponent think twice about go-to punishes. The best example from my perspective would be dealing with Elphelt's c.S as May. Usually every jump in would just get destroyed. If you try to bait it with a second jump or something, she can just do it again, but jumping in with a BS makes them think twice next time about their autopilot play. It works well on normals that give you trouble that can't exactly be punished on block like DPs. I think it was a great addition and is very satisfying on hard reads. I can see it being more of a pain to deal with as characters with long, slow normals though.
  11. I'm pretty excited about this and will be keeping tabs on it. I really enjoyed both Dissidias and with my Type 0 PS4 already ordered, I can only hope for a PS4 release sometime down the line.
  12. In the JP BBS thread, some are asking about it. The only response was a a guy thinking it was a bug that the blowback was larger than the other versions. Maybe it only happened occasionally, I'm not sure. I'll ask and see what they say. Edit: Or not. It seems they block foreign IPs from posting. I guess I'll just keep an eye on it and see if anyone volunteers some new information on the subject.
  13. Neither did I. We may see some demonstration of it from the tests.
  14. It's saying that the amount it blows the opponent back on hit has been adjusted to be the same as other button versions.
  15. I'll try SWD, but don't expect much as I've been off the game for almost a half a year. lol and as for colors, I was on my way to dark green when I stopped. No real reason besides people kept dodging me, but now it really doesn't matter since no one is in the lobby.
  16. The reason was that you gained access to almost twice the specials as before in a fluid (free) cancel mechanic. 22A wasn't a bad input considering how many she already had for specials. I don't really understand the last statement, but I'm leaving it at this. This has derailed the thread enough.
  17. Oh, I was working my way down slowly. I like the record so I can gauge how much I played from game to game, but if you're at white, I can just jump on my JP psn and play you to help you go lower if you want.
  18. Only if you help me with my dark green. Edit: Unfortunately, I'm already down to Orange, so you'll have to get there first. Then again, I just thought of this. We can't help each other. Yes, I'll help you if you get to orange.
  19. Well, people choose characters for many different reasons. I really enjoy technical characters, but I chose Nu when BB was announced due to design and general playstyle. I was actually thinking of skipping BB or playing Rachel had she not been announced. I can't refute the point that a lot of people do enjoy characters with low learning curves and I could easily see the CP changes being a large turnoff in that aspect.
  20. CP and mode change gave her so many avenues for combos..utilizing practically every move she has. It had been far from the famed "DDDDD" for a bit (minus her air ender, of course), but CP really broke away with potential creativity.
  21. I wouldn't say it was that unrealistic. There was a change from CT to CS just as there was a change from CS to CP. The only difference is that we received BOTH versions in CP. The motion to change(22A) was quite natural to cancel things with in my opinion. Not much unlike Aigis in P4U. No one said characters can only become technical through their drive either. If this game was that one-directional, I doubt many of us would have stuck with it for so long.
  22. You are correct. My apologies. Dealing with the Kanji of names is a pain in the ass, but nonetheless, it was a mistake on my part and I should have looked more closely to the source. I'm just so used to him being the target for interviews.
  23. I agree. Like Mac said, it's not hard to look into the Nu forums and find a large amount of people who disliked the CP Nu playstyle. This eventually led to a great deal of players dropping her and that's an obvious sign to Arcystems that maybe they should do something. I think the split will satisfy some players, but it will take some time for them to balance out and differentiate the two characters. It's a shame for the some of us that really enjoyed the CP version, but it's not our game and we can/will adjust accordingly.
TL: Using "phase lift", Nu could switch between dia form and luna form while fighting, but switching styles that way ended up being quite difficult, so we split her into Nu and Lambda.
