Yeah, you have to make them respect you in either way. If you can read it correctly, you can meaty wakeups, and bait dragon punches and then punish them. If you keep doing this correctly, your opponent will be respect you a lot more, but will probably still DP you every so often to keep you honest to what you do.

Your basic bang blockstrings are whatever the hell you want. You have so many ways to stagger them and so many options that if you're facing someone who knows it, then they'll respect it more. 5A 2A 5A is one very common blockstring reset. 2A (delay) 2AA is a funny trap. Straight 5B is another one since it pretty much just auto staggers. Also anything into 2B is scary. 2B can be jump cancelled, go into 2C or whatever. People usually expect D-Nails so you can actually get away with doing 2B with no cancel and dash in 5A. It's funny to do to Ragnas who expect D-Nails and want to IB DP it. Free reset or punish if they do a DP. I never really thought about doing it before, but I saw Nezu do it quite often. Very smart. It's also good to stagger if you ever want to get throws in.

CC has a lot of changes too, but most of the stuff (not all of it) you do in MBAA PS2 works in CC and vice versa. Just different damage and no anti-A armor in CC. But yuuup. For you people wondering about a tier list. It seems unanimous that VAkiha is the best character in the game now.
