I still say Baiken is the best character for a beginner to learn. Its like playing pot but hiding under the guise of a real character. You give yourself a giant lead up against opponents just by being baiken. living longer = getting to play more = learning more. her basic combos are simple, she has some nice pressure strings that you can kind of autopilot at low levels, and allows you to play within your comfort zone a lot of the time. also think faust is godlike to start with. low execution dependency (u dont really need fdc j.2k at low level), low combo dependency, really only a handful of basic combos needed to get the ball rolling, your character kind of does the strategy for you lol. that being said ky is definitely the best balance between beginner friendly and inducing actual learning.
