  5. yeah, i was sarcastic when i said not to start with moves that prorate. Its ideal to start with something that doesnt, but not likely. It does happen every once and a while though (usually on oki mixups after VT>LJ). Just a little more on prorate (since i had the wrong idea when i first started). If something prorates 70%, then all the moves aftward do 70% less than they would have done normally according to where the guard guage is. So 90% prorate is much better than 70% prorate. Because of this when i jump up and air dash jS>jH after VT>LJ i will possition it so i can 5S>ect instead of 5K>5S>ect so the 5K wont reduce the rest of the combo. So it would be something like AD>jS>jH>land>5S>6P/5H>5H(IF 6P can hit)>2D/236K(if both hits of SD hit) or if i have 25% tension AD>jS>jH>land>5S>2D>LS>5S>2H>your choice from here
  6. allow me to educate you 5K: Prorates 80%. 2K: Prorates 70%. 2P: Prorates 80%. 6P: Prorates 90%. Greed Saver: Prorates 85%. Vapor Thrusts': Prorate 80%. there is a very good reason why they prorate. I still wish they didnt. Except for GS, who cares about that move. oh yeah and dead angle prorates 50%. as for oki, there are millions of things to do. Jump up.... air dash forward jS>jH>5S jS on the way down FD for baiting DPs Land 5K/2D>ect land throw Crossup jS slightly jump over them air dash back jK>jS>ect jump over them land bait DP jump over them land 2K>ect aaaaaaand jD/j214D... land throw cross it up land throw land 5K/2D>ect jS on the way down sometimes they will try and DP anyway so FD then they get CH for massive damage need i go on???
  7. 2P, 5P? get outta here, gotta do things that dont prorate to win with ky. sometimes you dont even need to airdash back to get jS to crossup.
  8. usually i would only use 6K, 2K in block strings and only in combos if their guard gauge is high enouph

  13. Im having a little trouble with the slayer matchup. I cant keep him out of my face and when i do have a chance to hit him he just dashes (BCB I think it called) so my move wiffs. Also slayers jH beats out almost any AA i use. My only saving grace is if he is already far away and i just drill him like crazy or i have lil ed out. Anyway i need ADVISE

  15. for BTL you can just 214K to hit them with SG you have to either wait a bit after 22S or do it immediately depending on the character

  18. i play Rei and Jagi I was going to play Toki when i first heard of the game but too many people play him so i went to my next fav character
  19. thanks, my buddy taraction made it for me :3 thtas another thing i want fixed. Buffering, i can not buffer a super and i hate it! Tian plays shin, i have no idea about kenshiro though. I know a little ken but the only damaging combos i know are in my combo video :p

  21. lol, that isnt so bad it takes a lot of skill to get that 2 frame timing 5 times in a row. Most people cant even get it one time.
  22. shu is fucking awesome, but i think my only problem is that Toki's 2A is too fast. It totally destroys (even rei's) rushdown. That and add a little recovery to his teleport.
  23. i hope they make an hokuto no ken 2 where everything is just as broken but they make it so that people can stop complaining about toki. Also they should add characters from HNK2 the anime.
  24. lol, GS at the start of battle So from watching vids of american players i have noticed that they tend to use CSE all the time after LJ. Not that it matters, or I should care, but I figured that (now that i can finally record some things) I would share my knowledge on what to do after LJ if second rep is not possible. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6772314051828569296 Sorry, not best quality but i am working on that ^^ Anyway, I get these ideas from watching Japanese matches (mostly Buppa) and seeing what they do. Its only 6 different set ups but Im sure you guys are good enough to figure out tons of other options. Thanks to 4r5 for the music and bringing it all together.
