lulz. i'm on the same boat, i've been maining Tsubaki since CS1, but I feel like she's the female potemkin in terms of tiers. The one time she wasn't bottom and she won SBO ;_;. Except instead of picking a new main, I've been thinking of quitting until a patch or something fixes her shitty ass.

GG's to everyone I played tonight. JudgeMastar, Bortthog, Neo_Zeromus, brkrdave, etc.
-
GG's to you too. Yeah, the main person I play with IRL is a Mu :P

Kuresu is starting to creep up as my favorite Tsubaki over Konan. BTW, Kuresu almost won that tournament, would've been a first that a Tsubaki won one on BBCSX?

[CSE] PSN - ID Thread / Chatroom Invitations
EdWORLD replied to zeth07's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
PSN ID: specialedworld State/Province: CA Main: Tsubaki Sub: Noel/Platinum Availability: evenings and late nights. Sometimes I'm on during the day when I'm off work as well. -
I still get hate mails from Tagers and Ragna's for running away to charge. -_-

Also, if challenge mode's combos are too difficult, try to create your own simplified versions of the combos in challenge mode. It's better to sacrifice some damage so you can do a combo that you won't drop. The 22B to the C on knockdown with Noel can be difficult for some players just starting, so see if you can just omit it altogether from the combo and see how it goes.
-
Tsubaki is top tier.
-
Noel's 3C > Tsubaki's 5B. 3C actually beats out a lot of Tsubaki's pokes, anyone abusing Tsubaki's normals are just 3C bait. 4D beats 236x and j.214x. Don't mash drive, 6A and 6C will counter you for free.
-
Well if you cancel the 214C(w) into the 22D directly then they don't have any time to react at all. It's also difficult to see the 22D while the flashiness of 214C is still going on. The idea is that you don't wait for the 214C to end but just to cancel it into the 22D on whiff. Also not the dive but ending a combo with 214A veritas, the opponent will tech from that and land right in front of you.
-
throw -> 236C -> 214C ->22D(unblockable) is another good one that I use sometimes against people who mash to tech. The 214C will always whiff from a grab and the opponent will tech right in front of 22D distance. Also is ending a combo where the opponent is in the air with 214A into an unblockable pretty legit as a set up? I've had some success with this as well.
-
she can crawl under j.214x and a bunch of your jump ins. 3C beats her 5D (as far as I can tell, or at least trades). The only thing is after the fatal, she flies at the opposite direction so I haven't been able to combo from it.

Yeah, I feel like Rachel's zoning is harder to deal with than Lambda's, especially if I'm getting lobelia raped while pumpkin and George is out. This match up is very frustrating ><
-
This match up has been giving me a lot of hell lately. What's the best way to punish lobelia barrage without charges?

Been playing Kaigu's Relius for the past few days consistently. Things I noticed: If you're mid screen and feeling ballsy, 214D goes through most of Nirvana's pressure (except maybe the screw attack, haven't tried that out yet). He really can't really do the invincible twirl during your block strings because Tsubaki keeps on going irregardless if the last hit hits or not. You can also throw him out of the twirl. Relius' personal overhead (not the doll's) is fairly easy to see and block, but the animation when Relius desummons Ignis looks A LOT like his overhead, so they can desummon then go low to play mind games. Relius' like to do j.B for jump ins, they can also do j.C after it to fake out people who are trying to block low when he lands. Most of his combos end with Ignis drilling you to the ground. This makes it awfully difficult to get charges, and lets him play wake up games on you like crazy. edit: 214D does go through corkscrew.
-
Weird, I always just short jumped it and it never hit me, how large is the vertical hitbox?
-
His gear DD can't hit you while in the air. I've noticed that doing j.D over Relius' wakeup does wonders to avoid that reversal. Tsubaki's normal gatlings (5BB, 5CC), also do wonders against his invincible twirl as Tsubaki's attacks will keep going even if they whiff.
-
Was playing around with a Makoto player and noticed that the second hit of Tsubaki's 5BB kept hitting her out of 3C. Has her 3C's hitbox been nerfed or was this just poor timing on the Makoto player's part?
-
Maybe chargeless, but a hit confirmed 5B into 22D or a 236D can lead to some decent long range combos.
-
I'm not sure, I only put up the last match since that was the only thing I could find. Not sure if R-1 and Konan did anymore matches beforehand.
-
Well to be fair, R-1 dropped some combos as well. But really, Konan drops a lot of his combos in every match but still recovers from them.
-
SBO footage of Konan's final match with R-1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRx6Lw69kTw It's a little choppy and there's no sound but it's finally nice to see it :P
-
Agreed, and it seems like they had some kind of lag since a lot of matches kept skipping.
