  1. It's possible that the game resets your controller when it starts, in which case whatever position your control stick is in would be set to neutral. That's unlikely, however, but it's possible. Just make sure you're not moving the control stick when the game starts up. But yeah, if you asked my opinion, I'd say the port was perfect, but the online wasn't.
  2. This is now out on XBLA, but the port is, shall I say, unusual. There are none of those arranged songs or backgrounds (), and the win quotes after a fight are in Japanese (). Also, there is practically nobody online, but the one match I did have was lag-free.
  3. This game is out on XBLA, by the way. It's a well-done port, but there is practically nobody online, and anyone you do find has high latency and ends up kicking you for it. But yeah, the lag is pretty annoying.
  4. Yes, that's about what I was thinking. Unfortunately, I already said that the first round of the October tourney would last two weeks. :gonk: Of course, that two-week deadline ends tonight, so...

  5. bjholmes2 - Powder Springs, GA I'm still a flowchart Bang, but that'll change soon--hopefully.
  6. I would imagine he plays May. Anyways, I'll be starting a room around 4:00 EST, if anyone wants to help me pep up my Carl. Thanks! EDIT: Wait, forget that, I just got called into work. Maybe I'll start a room when I get back at 10:00 EST.
  7. Guys, really; just because Kyle isn't here right now doesn't mean you should write a lot of posts for him to delete later. Seriously, make his life a lot easier and stay on topic.
  8. That's true, but it's pretty much all that Tager has got. Grapplers generally aren't well-known for their pressure. The key is to mix things up and be unpredictable.
  9. Happy birthday! (Your profile says the 17th, Dustloop says the 16th :wtf:)

  10. The new brackets for the September tourney are up. The RNG wasn't friendly enough to match you up with Arcade Fire off the bat, but hey, if you beat DUNGE0Nman, you'll fight him for the final match, so it's much more epic that way.

  11. Regarding the nicknames for Tager's moves, I propose we call 236A/B "Sledge" and the follow-up "Hammer". What do you guys think?
  12. Sorry, I didn't read the whole thread, but here is what I've got: Be careful with the C flurry special; we can IB 720 at any time during it.Don't try to hit us with a B or C Ice Car unless you want to die.Watch out for tech traps. For example, most people who fight Tager won't tech after a 6C 5D for fear of being reset into another Collider. In those cases, we can just shoot a Spark Bolt after you. Be wary of poking with D moves; we can slegde and/or 720 the majority of them on reaction. You can, of course, use this to your advantage.Be smart when you freeze us; if you know your follow-up combo will be a black-beat, don't do it; I personally make a conscious effort to buffer a 720 when I'm about to break the ice.Don't spam projectiles from full-screen; it's either free electricity via charge or free meter via IB.Fun fact: if you are magnetized and Ice Car over us and we use Collider, you will stay still for a moment and then take off, depending on the positioning.
  13. If you think PS3 pad Carl is bad, wait until you try 360 pad Carl...
  14. SolBadass beat me to it, but I'm noticing a lot of Hakumens like to jump back, then airdash forward with a j.C. You need to be careful with this, because if you're magnetized, we can psychic Collider you into 40% of your health. If not, we can just backdash or IB into a throw. However, you'll catch Tagers off-guard if he blocks the C and autopilots into a 360 by cancelling into j.214B/C. Also, it's been mentioned, but keeping Tager at that sweet spot near the end of your 6C can get really annoying. So, of course, that is the place to be.
  15. Nonetheless, I had a good time; it's very refreshing to fight someone around the same skill level as me.

  16. The games with you were some good fun, but with that other dude... :vbang:

  17. Thanks guys!
  18. So, regarding pressure and mixups, what kind of options does Haku have? Here's what I've been working on: (IAD j.C), (B/2B), A/2A(xN), (66 Throw) or (214B) or (TK Hotaru)
  19. Hey, 4Corners, if it wouldn't bore you too much, would you be willing to have a 20 minute or so Carl study session with me sometime tomorrow? I have a feeling it would help me a lot. Thanks!
  20. Because people need to have some kind of reason to buy a Wii. I'm really looking forward to this, even though the vast majority of the Tatsunoko side is unknown to me.
  21. Good games! I see your loop is strong as always! :) Good Carl's always impress me when they can get into a loop from anything.

  22. GGs, man! I look forward to the day I get my Hakumen up to par!

  23. These videos are helping me out a lot. Thank you! Also, SimpleKiss, this is for you: I made it in Paint. Can you tell?
  24. The key to playing Tager is to mix it up; never do the same thing too much. For instance, you could sustitute some psychic Colliders for those 360s, which would practically guarantee a hit if they jump, depending on positioning and what not. Then switch back and forth between that and the throws. If you want some lolz, you could even throw a Voltic Charge in there, but don't expect much mileage from this little stunt. Oh yeah, inexperienced people like to try and punish blocked 2Cs, so cancel them into something (usually 5D) every once and a while.
  25. I've just got to say, that 720 on your dive was a total fluke. At least, I think it was; with the lag, we'll never know for sure!
