It's not insane though. When she goes for either 2C or her overhead, you can easily 360 that, and almost every Makoto auto-pilots blockstrings to that move (usually the overhead). If they go for the move where she splits up and they try to cross you up, you can 360 that. Hell, you don't even have to 360 it, you can just normal throw it. Or 2C fatal it. Or EZ mode it and backdash>360A everything.

Neither of those are specifically stated as just being those chars though. This game is titled 'Marvel vs Capcom'. I can't think of any characters from other franchises in MvC1 or 2, or TvC. Plus Soul Calibur already featured characters from Star Wars in 4, and Spawn/Link/I can't remember who the PS2 char was (Tekken dude?) in 2, so a cameo from another franchise is almost expected by now.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but it not being special cancelable is made up by the throw popping them much higher into the air, which allowed for 5C follow-up. Forward throw looked ridiculously useless though. Propels them all the way across the screen. Can be followed up with spark bolt, but unless magnetized AC somehow pulls them all the way back (doubtful), I would never use that move on purpose.
