Excalibur is pretty bad for combos anyway, it murders the rest of his combo damage, and it's not like he's already doing good damage in the first place. Only truly useful thing for the L version imo is picking up instant overhead. M excalibur good for fast get-away movement or an easy way past careless zoning. can be followed up when he's sped up by x-factor, but I dropped Strider hard and didn't work at finding any good combos with it.

command buffering kills me too. try to do two quarter circle forward motions in a row, end up getting one qcf motion followed by a double qcf DM. =(

The charging is not what makes Leona difficult to use.

charging in this game is ridiculously easy

it's also because they changed his gamma wave. that third hit that allows the juggle into AA gamma charge used to only hit characters with large horizontal hitboxes, but now it hits almost everyone.

I almost did that to someone today, but they had just barely started jumping so I only got like 30 hits before they were over it =(

half the youtube videos out for umvc3 right now are vergil combos :/ pretty sure you'll find at least 10 different combo videos of vergil in the last couple pages of this thread alone

you can still immediately block following an x-factor, right? I only ask because I played a few matches online tonight, and both times I tried to x-factor to save from chip and got hit following both of them. I'm assuming it's just one of those online quirks, but would like to be sure.

someone post up any nova combos you find for me prz. I'm trying to fool around and I have a few decent ones, but it seems like he just gets murdered by hitstun deterioration. edit: apparently desk picked up nova. looks like I'm set for combos.

oh good, I like being able to run to the bathroom real quick after someone starts a combo on me.

if someone has a 360 set-up that they can bring, I have an extra 360 stick + my dual-modded one that can be used wherever.

it's impressive when it only uses 1 meter though
