Pretty sure they mentioned part of the 'more functions for netplay' part, letting you set a minimum connection req when creating a ranked match, since that was previously impossible.

if someone only has a 360, they can't play an imported copy without a modded console I can't think of anyone that is 360 only besides Orion though, and he's got gamecenter, but something to think about

xbl is fine, so long as you find a 3 (this one is usually fine, but has issues every once in a while), and obviously 4 is fine too. the problem is actually finding people to play. for about 4 days I checked in every couple hours when I was home writing papers to try and play, and I never once saw more than 3 player matches available (most of the time, they were the same names too :/). The one 2 bar connection I played was absolutely unbearable, though.

just in case whoever is in charge of KoF checks this before bailing, I am not going. just so someone isn't expecting me and willing to wait a bit or something.

I'm the same way as you, I learn by playing. I really hope this game pops off, and I hope you find a local scene. I have a scene about an hour away that's very hype for this game, so I at least get a few hours at the weekly gatherings to learn from them. Sucks that the online experience is that bad, so I really do hope it gets better for you.
