If they could find a decent mixup or way to get in, that's what she looks like she really needs. There's probably plenty of options people haven't explored yet though. And yeah, this game is loopy as hell now. At least the loops generally don't do that much damage, but still, some of these loops are just ridiculously long.

WELL, I would expect that sooner or later, people will get it down. Of course, if everyone has combos that can do that kind of damage, it's not really a big deal. I was just thinking that this looked really easy and figured it was probably not.

You don't HAVE to FRC the Tatami. You can hold up and you'll jump as soon as you've recovered from the Tatami. However, you have to actually time the j.S to go off right after you jump. There is no easy way to do it, you just learn the timing. BTW, there is a SEARCH tool, you can search threads or forums. It's quite good so I recommend you use it before you post a question. Also this is a Baiken related question so it's a better idea to put it into the Baiken forum if you can. No big deal though. -
How is Fiona looking tournament legal when she has that ridiculous super that knocks off 80% of your life? Or is that like really specific usage and not practical or some such?

Only if you got a shitty US stick and not an awesome one are they overly stiff and/or wobbly. They do almost always have stronger springs than Japo sticks, and do require more force to make them move. You can get them with really light springs though, and I highly recommend to get these. Crappy ones will require larger degrees of motion to activate a switch, but ones that are setup well will be very close to the Japanese style sticks. This I can't argue with. Of course I do this with Japanese sticks too though. :/

CH from guard bar is the same as CH from actually being CH. There is an option you can turn on to make you get a CH on your first hit(reguardless of guard bar), which you should use instead. Setting up the guard bar makes them take a lot of extra damage. -
Doesn't Pote have a ground bounce on CH j.S now? Maybe something like ... CH j.S RC j.P |> K S > j.PB That would be awfully silly.

She has to use homing cancel in order to keep up the loop, and activating the Arcana gives her all of her bars back for it. Can't really tell about the pushback though, but it looks like something weird happens whenever she tries to homing cancel. To me it looks like the homing cancel resets the pushback but I'm not really sure.

That infinite loop is pretty cool, but if the enemy needs to be standing, it might be pretty hard to connect with it.

ATG is also Air To Ground, which is another kind of mixup. The idea is that if a character doesn't have any good standing overheads, you can create a mixup by attacking from the air, and confusing the defender into not known whether another air attack is coming, or if you are going to land and do a low hit. Basic example is you get a knockdown, then put out some oki, then jump at them. On your way down, you can either just throw out an air attack (or air dash into some high hits), or just land into some low hit. -
Isn't that called Hyper Armor or something? Generally I think Hyper Armor means you just can't get knocked out of what you are doing (like the Zangief super from MvC2).

There is a pretty big buffer on teching ... you don't have to hit it on the exact frame, you can hit it a little while before. Never did figure out exactly how large though. -
Yeah. Your probably aware of his loops in the corner too.. ... 6C, B 214A, B 214A, B 236B (can finish with 236BC or ABC) If the rest of the cast is as fun as Aka and Elektro are, this game is solid.

The game is simple enough that it wouldn't be that hard to get balanced out. I don't know if I'd play it seriously, but it's a very fun game. I think half the reason it's fun is because of how fast it plays... it really doesn't let up at all. Combos are pretty short too so they don't break up the flow.

The awesome Skate Dunk loop actually made me interested in Lilica. Any idea what the limitation is for her dunk loop? Obviously it isn't an infinite, so is the game like GG where you tech out faster, or like QoH where you can only connect with the same move a fixed number of times?

It also hasn't been out very long. HnK was a very low damage game for a while after it came out, then people started discovering the systems that made it ridiculous (starting with OTG damage). I don't doubt this game will be the same way.

Some extra buisness... yes you can DP out of 6H SH on a normal block. So I guess you could probably reversal backdash it too. 2S vacuums even on block! That's good news for mixups. Also Heat with no extend drops them close to you now, as opposed to launching them away.

Oh is THAT what that noise is. I heard it a few times and couldn't tell if it was a SB or FD or what.

That wasn't the case before, so slide head must have a lot less startup now. Pote really is sounding Top or at least very high tier in this one. He's got all of his old stuff, and a lot of new stuff.

Yeah that's kind of the point of it. I said this ages ago, but I'd definitely trade the free followups Pote got with PB for an FRC so he could follow it up at mid screen. It really, really sucked when you'd have 100% tension and land a PB at mid screen and you couldn't do jack with it. Sol or May could get tons more damage off their command throw at mid screen. Anyone seen Pote air PB someone out of a burst yet?
