  1. That's not 'Jump Install' actually, that's just restoring your jump options. Jump Install is a specific thing related to Jump-Cancel-Canceling normals on the ground to trick the game into giving your your full normal-jump options even if you leave the ground by doing other things (like super jumping or using special moves). See here: http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Movement_(GGACR)#Jump_Install But yeah DeadlyCreampuff seems to be right either way, YRCing an air stun edge definitely doesn't give you back your jump options. I also checked if there was any way to do the classic 'Akuma' style double air fireball and it seems like, if it's even possible at all, you'd have to get much higher than even a JIed SJ -> DJ can get you. Air Stunedge seems to have a LOT of recovery in this game.
  2. No he does not appear to. Way too much recovery after air stun edge, he doesn't seem to recover at all until he hits the ground for jump height. Maybe if you got yourself launched super high or did a JI SJ, I'll try that later.
  3. Did you try adjusting the picture options in your PS4 settings menu? There's one for overscan control in there I think. I don't really understand what you're asking, air stunedge is an air move, you'd have to already jump to use it thus it has nothing to do with jump installing. Are you asking if it restores your double jump option after you use it or something?
  4. Yeah, you don't pick your character for it. All the character data is in there so if someone had a hacked or developer PS4 they could probably hack the other characters in. Dunno about VS mode though.
  5. I mean you can mess with him in arcade mode, not as convenient but I guess there's that. Graphics look real good except the outlining looks a little rough when the characters are zoomed out. You can see a few little effects here and there that don't look quite right when it hits 3D view too.
  6. Food poisoning has subsided. The demo is really fucking good if you want to learn Sol, sorry everyone else. :I
  7. Yeah, Sol players are gonna have a huge up on everyone else with this demo, lol. Every character is in it except MAYBE El? Countdown until someone hacks it to let you play as anyone you want.
  8. Xrd demo. My hands are shaking. Not because I'm excited, but because I have violent food poisoning.
  9. It's on the top level, Playstation Plus, second subcategory.
  10. Yeah I think you might be right about the Trisula blockstun since the few times I've seen it blocked it did look pretty safe and didn't get punished. Actually if it counts as an independent projectile that would make sense, the fire would be effected by hitstop but Potemkin would not be. At Lv5 that would mean 18F guardstun and 15F hitstop, so that would be roughly +1SD on block. At Lv4 it would be -2SD, Lv3 would be -6SD. I wonder if it has any pushback on block in the corner or not.
  11. Better find some people to play IRL, the online for ACPR sucks and it's probably not going to be all that much better in Xrd. Good stuff to practice is learning all the basic combos and gattlings. Learn how to Hammerfall break as quickly as possible. Learn how to do 6H -> Hammerfall real good because you're going to need that hardcore in Xrd. Get a feel on how your backdash works, it's super invincible but also really slow. Learn the feel of FDBing projectiles, good candidates are Ky, Faust, and Venom in general, Sol's Gunflame, I-No's green fireball are real good to get a feel for too. Practicing in training mode might help a bit but you've really got to have someone be throwing that stuff at you to get it down. Also, while Potemkin's normals are pretty similar between ACPR and Xrd in terms of frames and hitboxes, the properties on them are NOT at all. Similarly for his special moves. Lot of stuff is great in ACPR that sucks now in Xrd, a few things are terrible in ACPR that are good now in Xrd. Just expect to relearn a lot of stuff like Brice said.
  12. Expect to work your ass off for every win and have to practice and play the game a ton to keep up with other players playing better characters. You can definitely win with Potemkin, even against characters like Zato, but it's going to be a real uphill battle in Xrd. Watch FAB and Consome for inspiration and motivation. Pray for some buffs in the next revision.
  13. Ky can easily have a normal on Pote before Trisula goes active, you are underestimating how fast Ky's normals are and how slow Trisula is (especially Trisula+YRC). Ky's 2S is 9F, f.S is 10F, and both are real big. Even dash up 5K should be fast enough to handle it. If Pote doesn't YRC at all, he'll get stuffed by any button Ky pushes since the physical invuln and hitbox on Trisula are Not Good. Probably the best thing that could happen in this situation is Ky ends up blocking the Trisula ... and I'm not really clear on how good or bad the move is on block. Frame data suggests 27F startup and 57F total, which would mean that even if it's a Lv5 move, it'd be something like -14SD on block. Which is real bad. Again the whole host of problems with the idea is: - Ky has an eternity to confirm CSE is being blocked. - Ky has a bunch of options to OS against it or can even just straight up react to it. - Ky doesn't care if he has to take a slightly safer mixup option because even if all Ky does is push Pote away and do some chip and build some meter, he's still in an advantageous position. - Even if Potemkin successfully Trisula YRCs, he's still not in an advantageous position because Ky has 1) a fairly safe escape option (backdash), 2) A risky escape option (DP), 3) A great but very meter expensive option (RtL with RC). I'm also wondering if Ky could have instead done j.S |> 2D 236D, 236H from that combo as well. I'm not 100% clear on the properties of Ky's 236D yet but I've seen him use the same setup in a bunch of different places, and you definitely can't Trisula through that.
  14. And Ky has no trouble getting a normal on Potemkin from that setup in time to stuff a Trisula YRC, Ky has huge ass normals and Trisula is slow. And also PB/Heat isn't a mixup except in super duper rare cases.
  15. Yeah that's why I was guessing they must be getting some sort of kickback from Sony for helping to get people to check out PSN+, because otherwise why would you artificially limit your demo audience? The time limit I don't understand at all, there's probably more to it that we don't know. I also wouldn't call 2P Versus "bells and whistles" but maybe that's just me.
  16. "No Demo" has actually been the norm for a very long time seeing as they hurt sales more often than they help them. "Early Access" is the new scummy hotness these days, though it doesn't apply here obviously. The fact that they spent man hours and money working on such a limited demo that is only available to PSN+ members and only for two weeks is pretty bizarre. I'm guessing devs get a kickback from Sony if they release their demo for PSN+ only at least, but I can't really understand why they would deliberately remove playing against another player.
  17. Yyyyyyyyup. Great job ArcSys, you fucking idiots.
  18. Demo is next Wednesday right, anyone gonna host something?
  19. The thing is that Ky can swing that 6HS really late due to all the guardstun from the charged stun edge, so he can just confirm the stunedge is connecting before he even swings. The guy in the video even did that, he just ... didn't do anything but block, probably because he was dumbfounded by the situation (or guessed it would not be a throw possibly). Ky could probably even OS against it if he wanted to, anything from a short dash 2P, 66 6HS, or j.S |> 66 6HS might work, as would likely a simple 6P 6HS chain (though that wouldn't be as ideal unless Pote was in the corner). A Ky with good reflexes could probably just react to it raw before the YRC with a 5K and get a free combo, assuming he'd seen it a few times. It's a cool gimmick but there are a lot of ways it can go wrong unfortunately. Looks sick as hell though and that's what really counts.
  20. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure Ky could have beaten that escape plan by literally pushing any button instead of just running up and blocking. Trisula's physical invuln is pretty blah.
  21. I pinged Jack and he says it's just #Reload. Definitely says Xrd on the schedule but I'm guessing someone just got very confused.
  22. Woah woah woah what the fuckkkkkk? Why am I busy today?????
  23. Apparently it is hard because that attachment doesn't work. :I
  24. I've been feeling kind of sick all week so I'll have to wait and see about tomorrow. I don't think I've got anything else going on at least.
  25. It's easier to setup in Xrd since you can do FDB Reflect, then YRC something (usually hammerfall) before the project is about to collide with them. You can react standing block -> Slidehead or air block -> Heat, much easier with the time slow now as opposed to have to do it all Real Time. Plus if you've got another 50%, as you mentioned in the other thread he can turn a Slidehead near the corner into massive damage. Does BS Rejected state count as being in hitstun for YRC purposes? Not sure I've ever seen that come up before.
