  1. Your pressure and mix-ups are crazy, that's one thing I really gotta develop. It's good to see that the regular BnB works effectively as long as you use mix-ups the way you did.
  2. Thanks for those. I'm definitely going to work on them next.
  3. I've yet to land d.2B after 623B during the one combo Reioumu pieced together so I'm wondering about that too. Occasionally I can land a d.5B but that isn't gonna help with the combo i've been trying. Either way, taking that d.2B and 2nd 623B off Reioumu's combo makes the combo like this: *Reioumu's combo (easy version): (Against Ragna / Tager, uses 50% heat, needs 1 nail) j.4C-(5A)-5B-2B-6C-j.D-2369C-623b-2363214C = (14)15 Hits, (4242)4291 damage, 1 seal. *I'm not sure if that combo is in the combo thread already or how useful it is compared to the other combos, but I think it's fairly easy to do. Couldn't land it against Hakumen for some reason.*
  4. Besides, (5A/2A)-5B-2B-2C-6D-6239B, are there any BnB or beginner friendly combos to use against Jin online? I saw the ones posted but that d.2B or d.5B is hard for me to consistently get in training mode so during a match online I just don't see it working out for me. And since both of the combos posted drop the 2C-6D (from the BnB) before the Fire Punch, would it be worth it to keep it simple like that and just try and put pressure on after the Fire Punch if I can't land that d.2B part of that combo? It just feels like the first BnB is all i'm really working with, besides including a cross-up version of it, so i'm looking for a different combo to use against Jin to keep em guessing. If the ones with the d.2B / d.5B are all we got then i guess i'm going to be working hard on that, cause the majority of the people i face online use Jin. Or if i beat them when they use someone else, the next fight they go to Jin and do what 90% of the online Jins do.
  5. Just watched the video you are talking about, and realized something really stupid on my part. Even though I said I was doing 2B after that wall hit, I think I was actually just doing 5B.....I was so used to trying to land 5B because of some of the other combos discussed that I completely overlooked it. I'm gonna re-try this combo just to see if i can do it. I know I personally won't be able to repeat it during a match.
  6. It's super jump. Jump cancel would be like 2369nails or 6239B during one of the BnBs, cause of the 9 part.
  7. I'm just a beginner myself but I guess I could try giving some minor tips that might work: 1) Utilize your nails to put pressure on them. Whether it'd be on the ground and just doing something like 2369D or in the air. Or use the bumper nails which should give you more mobility to get around them / near them. 2) If you find an opportunity you can cross them up which should be really similar to you playing Street Fighter. That would be j.4C (as you are jumping over them), it sort of pulls them toward you so you can start a combo. 3) Your Drive moves provide some of the best ways to lead into combos, especially off counter hits. Although this part will be much harder to utilize correctly in my opinion because of the timing. 4) If you do manage to get in, try and vary the 5A and 2A starting combos to keep them guessing where to block. 5) You can probably bait them into stuff if they are predictable, then you can just punish with whatever combo opportunity presents itself. I guess those would be my general tips. Since i'm just starting out as well, i need to listen to my own advice. I'm still incredibly sloppy with execution of combos and using my nails correctly. But maybe even a little bit of that will help you. Then just wait for someone like 10stars, AtTheGates, or DaiandOh to give you an even better response.
  8. Yea, you have more time then you think. ATG said you just need to learn when Bang is allowed to move again after he does it when we talked about it in the "Learning about the techniques" thread. I used the timing and visual cue of right when they hit the wall, but as ATG stated that's not always the case. Since you did say midscreen then yea, the visual cue of when they hit the wall will work. But if you tried it when Bang had his back to the corner you'd find out he can't reach them fast enough (I can't). That's why it's better to learn the timing in general.
  9. I've been trying that combo myself against Ragna just to see if I could pull it off since you posted it, and i'm having the same problem as you. Even if I manage to get the dash 2B off the wall hit (which is really hard for me to do consistently), the Fire Punch whiffs every time cause they tech upwards. I'm actually recording it on the training dummy side, and when I played it back so that I was in control of Ragna and didn't tech just because i wasn't paying attention to the game the Fire Punch landed obviously but that doesn't help us. Was this a definite combo from a video / match / list you saw? Or did you try and piece it together from figuring out other stuff? I've done the j.4C-5A-5B-2B-6C-j.D-2369C-623B part of the combo so much now, that I might actually be able to use it in a match......
  10. I knew I recognized your psn from somewhere when we were playing. I played you earlier tonight. I used Bang (Galford colors) and you used Nu (Red). You pretty much destroyed me. Just thought I'd say good games again, sorry it wasn't more competitive for you.
  11. Yea, I was gonna say when they are both mid-screen. Because when Bang has his back to the corner and does it they travel too far (for me at least) to hit them afterward. It makes sense to go by when he can move again like you said. I'm finally starting to realize you can take your time with combos much more in this game than it seemed for me.
  12. As for the timing, it seems like you want to try and dash right when their body hits the wall. That seemed like the visual cue that worked for me.
  13. Awesome stuff, you guys are really starting to figure out some advanced tactics with Bang. I'm light years behind all this, I can't even get 1 combo down to 100% efficiency.
  14. Well from trying to help someone with this combo: 5A-5B-2B-623B-5B-2B-j.A-j.B-623B I realized that to land that 2nd 5B after the Fire Punch the spacing has to be in a very small range to land it without any other execution. If you were both all the way as far as you could go in the corner so that the screen could no longer pan, the opponent would then have to be somewhere between the Guard Libra Orb and the "B" or "R" in the word "Barrier" for that 2B to land no questions asked after the Fire Punch. Someone else said that it is actually possible to land that 2nd 5B without such strict spacing if you dashed which I personally wasn't testing because i'm only learning simple stuff and only tried the above combo to help someone. So it may be possible. Like some combos it's very situational, however you could actually do other combos that involve the 623B within in it to possibly put the opponent within that spacing after it finishes to possibly follow up with the 2B-etc. As long as you notice the spacing during the match I don't see why you couldn't execute it, but there are of course other options after the 623B and obviously other combos to utilize that might make it pointless anyway. I was personally working on getting down the combo 5A-5B-2B-2C-6D-6239B, and because it involved the Fire Punch at the end I actually tried to see how far out I could start that combo and end up within that same spacing mentioned above. It's all too complicated for me to really put to use now, so I was really just messing around. I'm sure most of the combos from the wiki are coming straight from japanese matches. So in the heat of the moment it may look like a completely legit combo from anywhere just by looking at the commands listed as a combo, but they / we might not pay attention to the spacing that had to occur during the match for a particular combo to work out like it appeared. Or maybe players like Dora judged the distance / height and just put a 5B out there instead of a 5A, and was good enough to wing it and finish a combo off it. (Sorry for the long post.)
  15. I think the Web Nail is 236C, but here are the combos from the wiki that involve some form of Web Nail usage: A > B > ↓B > ↓C > (jc ↓↘→C > C)*3 [3000] A > B > ↓B > ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > C > ↓C > →↓↘B [2400] ↓A > B > ↓B > ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > ↓B > →C > JC [1670] ↓A > B > ↓B > ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > D > JA > JB > →↓↘B [1720] ↓A > B > ↓B > ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > B > ↓B > JB > →↓↘B [1734] ↓A > B > ↓B > ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > C > ↓C > →↓↘B [1711] B > ↓B > ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [3065] B > ↓B > ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > C > D > HJB > JC [2300] [Rachel] ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [3459] →D > jc ↓↘→C > →→D > JB > JC →D > jc ↓↘→C > dash JD > jc ↓↙←C > JD →D > jc ↓↘→C > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [3500] →D > jc ↓↘→C > dash →C > jc JD > ↓B > →↓↘B > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [3800] JC > jc ↓↘→C > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [4021] Neutral Throw > jc ↓↘→C > ↓B > ↓C > →D > →↓↘B [1634] Neutral Throw > jc ↓↘→C > B > ↓B > ↓C > →D > →↓↘B [1845] Neutral Throw > jc ↓↘→C > A > B > ↓B > ↓C > →D > →↓↘B [1884] Neutral Throw > jc ↓↘→C > A*4 > B > ↓B > ↓C > →D > →↓↘B [1990] Neutral Throw > jc ↓↘→C > dash →C > JD > ↓B > →C > JC [2500] [Ragna,Tager,Arakune,Litchi,Hakumen] Neutral Throw > jc ↓↘→C > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [3472] Neutral Throw > jc ↓↘→C > C > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [3600] [Noel, Taokaka, Rachel, Arakune, Litchi] Back Throw > jc ↓↘→C > B > ↓B > JA > JB > JB > JC [2241] Back Throw > jc ↓↘→C > A > B > JA > JA > JB > JB > JC [2148] Back Throw > jc ↓↘→C > dash →C > JD > ↓B > →C > JC [2700] Back Throw > jc ↓↘→C > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [3282] Air ↓↘→C Combos ↓↘→C > ↓↘→↘↓↙←C [4267] ↓↘→C > →↓↘B [1056] ↓↘→C > ↓B > →↓↘B [1425] ↓↘→C > B > ↓B > →↓↘B [1762] ↓↘→C > ↓A > B > ↓B > ↓C > →D > →↓↘B [2136] ↓↘→C > ↓A > B > ↓B > ↓C > jc ↓↘→C > ↓B [1800] So as you can see after a Web Nail you have tons of options. Now for an actual suggestion, one of the advanced people will have to recommend something out of all that.
  16. I edited my other post with a little bit better quality video still off my cell phone, for just showing an example I think it's good enough quality. The better one is against Jin so they can see it won't whiff the 6C. I just happened to edit it the same time you posted. If that's not good enough either THEN i'll capture it on a digital camera. I captured it on digital camera just in case: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7ySTWCF_ZY
  17. EDITED: Got rid of the crap quality videos from my cell phone, so here is that better one I posted in the later post in case anyone reads through this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7ySTWCF_ZY
  18. It should work. Since i'm a beginner myself I usually break the combos down into parts to see what works and what I can do before putting it all together. (Against Nu) - For starters I tried 2B-6C-j.C and it connected fine. Then I tried 2369C-2B-6C-j.C and it worked fine. Because I have poor execution I can't consistently go from 2C-2369C but i'm sure its still possible considering 2A-5B-2B-2C is easy to pull off. For me personally if i can consistently get off 2369C that combo would be easy, but I can't.
  19. Requesting Justice - Match videos of 10stars and AtTheGates, you two are putting up great tutorial/combo videos and liked to see how you two handle other players online (or arcade). Since you two have some advanced stuff down, i'm sure you have exciting matches against other people.
  20. Nah what's worst is that i'm trying 5A-5B-2B-2C-6D-6239B, but I have a bad habit of holding down when going for the 6D, but just tonight while messing around in training mode i've realized I can be more methodical about the 6D and not rush it. But I definitely need to do everything you've said. The combo I said is the only one i'm trying to get down to being able to do 90% of the time, then i'm gonna work on the 4 seal combos or just any decent combos that use the Web Nails.
  21. Hopefully I did this right......... 5A-5B-2B-623B-5B-2B-j.A-j.B-623B http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GsTgdjblxA Please ignore my poor execution and crazy stick noise, I suck. And yea I missed the mid-air 623B but i'm sure the better players will land it or do something else.
  22. I have Tager setup in training mode and if his head is somewhere between the Orb of the Guard Libra and the B in "Barrier" (Or R in "Barrier"), you can land 2B-623B-5B-2B-J.A-J.B-623B (mid-air). So that's why I said as you were doing that combo from the start it would be situational whether or not the B would connect after the 623B, cause the distance needs to be just right. So if you did 5A-5B-2B-623B and the distance was at that range you can then land the 5B-2B-J.A-J.B-623B (mid-air). Of course maybe that's just Tager, but I do have all the Techs enabled for him so it is possible, just very strict spacing. EDIT - Just tried it against Nu. If you're both position as far right as the screen can go, and then have them in the place I said the 2B-623B-5B-2B-J.A-J.B-623B connects. So I pushed her further out, right near the divided section of the Guard Libra a little nearer to the blue part and did 5A-5B-2B-623B-5B-2B-J.A-J.B-623B. I think it's possible but like i said the positioning is critical.
  23. Great videos with all those tips, too much for me to learn. Any time I think i'm getting something basic down, something even more advanced gets figured out. Slow and steady learning process for me. DaiandOh - One of MTG's videos is actually a duplicate on the 1st page listing. I was going down the list watching all the videos and noticed it. The 2nd video listed of MTG vs Don is actually the same link to MTG vs sadistic robot's Nu. No big deal just thought i'd point it out for you if no one else has already. Also i'm not sure if you want to do this or not, but you could just put a link to my youtube channel instead of listing my individual matches because I'm uploading at least 5 matches of mine from each session I have. I wouldn't want you to have to update the 1st post with tons of matches of mine especially since i'm just a beginner and my matches aren't informative or high level advanced play. I planned on still posting my matches every now and then, so maybe if you don't want to do that you could just take like 3 of my latest matches that I post once in a while to update the 1st page after however many days you see fit. Just a suggestion to save you some trouble and so I don't feel like I have a ton of useless matches posted on the 1st page when I still suck. Speaking of those matches........ My Day 4 Matches: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Mwug7JM_9c - Tager (gmrfreak12) vs Bang (zeth07) - Match 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6Dj2r24vRk - Litchi (gmrfreak12) vs Bang (zeth07) - Match 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-uMqNx06PA - Tager (gmrfreak12) vs Bang (zeth07) - Match 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjOTLMOpXyg - Litchi (gmrfreak12) vs Bang (zeth07) - Match 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqMVJapWQNE - Ragna (morikku0408) vs Bang (zeth07) - Match 1 (Close match imo) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y74csBWXaBc - Ragna (morikku0408) vs Bang (zeth07) - Match 2 (Close match imo) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwp-CQ6KPXs - Noel (OmegaXcn) vs Bang (zeth07) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCkpfcw_01U - Taokaka (The-D1RTY-77) vs Bang (zeth07) (Awesome/Funny ending because I didn't know it was 1 round.)
  24. You might need to wait for an answer from one of the more advanced users, but because I was in training mode already and saw your post I decided to try it out myself. I'm fighting Tager currently so maybe it changes depending upon who you're fighting against but here is what i noticed. I could only really land the B after the 623B when I was at about sweep range and Tager was obviously near the corner. Anywhere else and I was too far away. And when I was right up on him in the corner I would whiff threw his tech. My guess is when doing that combo you might eventually end up within this range when it becomes applicable. Again I may be wrong, because i'm just starting out on Bang myself.
  25. Thanks for the clarification. For my 2nd question I only asked because the 2nd Combo off of "How to be a hero" has 2D-j.D-2B-etc. that I started working on before noticing the Distortion combo that involves 623B after that same part of the combo but into the Distortion so I started learning that too. It didn't clarify that it was off a CH or needed a Super Jump to land consistently on "How to be a hero" so I figured it would work the same way with the Distortion one. But I guess both combos are meant as off CH's or Super Jumps needed as you stated and it was already implied, I just figured it was a straight combo. Thanks again.
