I started this post yesterday and finished it today, and I feel that it's kind of random amidst all this EVO talk lol. On that topic, I am 100% down to go! Never went yet, and this time I really want to organize it in advance since I tend to procrastinate with these things. Want to save as much money as possible as I plan on moving during the summer.

lol sorry, was busy. As everyone knows, Foonzo has been getting more and more popular. Phoun and Jin are actively promoting the place more than they've ever done before and we're trying to have special events on most days of the week. Basically we want to give people a reason to come often, especially on the more quiet days. Right now on Thursdays there's gonna be the bi-weekly retrogaming competitions, we're trying out LoL streaming on Sundays, and Tuesdays are reopening as board game nights. As more people fill the place up, we need more room, more couches, more tables to accommodate everyone. This of course affects our usual meetup days. But the thing you must understand is that being able to stay from 5pm to 12am and play games ALL NIGHT is a PRIVILEGE for us. Same goes for staying after closing hours. As a waiter myself, there is no way I would allow a group of people who spend the equivalent of 2$ per hour stay all night. You've all seen me kick those kind of people out with great pleasure. They're a waste of space. Now, the deal we've had with Foonzo for the past 2 years or so has been that as long as everyone in blazblue consumes around 10$ per night, they can play as much as they want. That deal stands TODAY, and most people have been respecting it, with a few exceptions that I don't really feel like naming here. The reason blazblue gets this special treatment is because Foonzo never forgot the support we've been giving them right from the start. Believe me when I say that no one else is allowed to get away with this. For example the Smash community is banned from Foonzo because they acted like children who demanded stuff without giving anything in return. But blazblue has always been respectful and supportive of the place, so they are VIPs. However Foonzo has grown. It is not a lounge anymore, it is not a coffee shop, it is not a bubble tea place... It's a bar with video games on the side. As a business, this is what's been working the best so far, in terms of attracting a lot of new, potentially regular customers who will spend more (and before any of you want to cry "sellout"... This is Phoun and Jin's life work, and they sure as hell deserve to be able to make a living off it). As waiters, we also have sales quotas to meet now. If we don't, there are penalties. If I don't sell well, I might even lose my job! So yeah, we do have less room to play. But we have no choice but to adapt to the changing circumstances. We can't forget how lucky we are to have a place like this in the middle of downtown and the fact that we have a special relationship with it. The PS3's and sticks are still there. Foonzo paid for the BBCP copies. The broken monitor has been replaced. We're allowed to rent the place for a whole day to do tournaments like UMAD. We just have to go with the flow and appreciate what we have. And if you don't... Well, can't please everyone. Personally whenever I work, I try to accommodate you guys as much as I reasonably can (as do Monika and Henri), but don't expect this kind of treatment from the new waitresses... They don't know who you are, or why you should be allowed to get away with stuff. They just want to make as much money as they can, meet their quotas, and you cannot blame them for that. That's pretty much all I have to say on the subject. Hope I didn't sound rude or confrontational because that's not what I want to achieve with this post. @DerQ : just saw your post about Mishimas. He's just exaggerating and making fun of us without really knowing what he's talking about, Mishimas are very strong but not as OP as Kokonoe. Plus they're actually realllyyyy high execution characters, but that's another discussion. The only reason I wouldn't ban Koko-no-way (lol) is really because our anime community is finally starting to get recognized IMO. P4A was very popular for a long time, and BBCP is getting a lot of attention and exposure. Hell, Blazblue being a main game at EVO has been a dream of mine ever since I started playing it competitively. But that's the thing, her being in the roster turns the game into a complete joke. So banning her would bring negative attention to our community... And I'm afraid anime games' growth in popularity and relevance will take a hit.
