Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. <3

The Real Tuesday Weld.
-
You are far northwest. Klein is south of Nashville. Murfreesboro(where I live) is southeast. Picking both of you up is a total 3 hours on the road. I don't necessarily have the funds to sate my car's thirst for gasoline going forward if I do and you have my apologies. I really, really hope your ride pulls through because I want you there.
-
Yes, I am. I'll be bringing Klein with me and maybe a couple others such as Mellis or the Cookeville crowd will show up. I hope they do. I'll house them if they do. I don't see a reason why not. Less of an early wake-up for them in the morning. =O It does! We understand. Keep it truckin'. I didn't say stop. I said move the mixups/50-50/unreactable discussion to a different medium that would be more appropriate for a back and forth. Everyone is either misunderstanding or ignoring the other party and this is obnoxious. About Yomi, though. If it's something you can't train but you have a heretofore unknown limit, well how do you know you hit that limit or when you're simply at a block? And how much of it is Fire Emblem-style levelups?
-
THIS IS HYPE. I AM EXCITED FOR THIS WEEKEND. Very cool. Ill ask, too. When I eat something slow its because I wasn't paying attention or didn't know that the move could come from whatever setup just happened. Failing a CH is accurate, too. I comprehend. Sure. Am I picking you up?
-
Alright. This has gone on long enough. All of you need to calm down. I actually like UnderNight's character design and stuff, but I haven't played it and I never regard videos with any validity. Videos are the new "Hey, I heard..." or "Hey, I read..." , I don't exactly recall myself making a derogatory comments towards UnderNight and if I have, I apologize if they weren't taken in the jest that I meant them. I don't disrespect Melty. I, on the personal level, find it boring because of how combo paths typically go. That's it. I won't say anything bad about the game past that. The game and the characters are cool and has neat mechanics around the Magic Circuit. Roa is a baller, Nero has a zoo in his coat. Shiki has a knife that can cut things. Millia having ways to cover her offense, should it fail, are what makes her a good character. If she wasn't tricky, then she wouldn't be the great character she is. I agree. I don't think Guilty Gear's mixups are any more or less tricky or involved than other airdasher games. Guilty is naturally a faster game and lots of initial combos end in sweep so stuff happens more often. Anime fighters are FOLLOWING Marvel and Street Fighter for the mixup game. Street Fighter has true 50/50 unblockables that you CAN. NOT. get out of due to option selects being so powerful. Vortexes are destructive. Street Fighter mixups are absolutely horrendous and put Anime mixups to shaaaaaaaaaaaame. Street Fighter mixups even outshine Marvel's mixups as far as how successful that they are. You can't see them. Literally. No. You can't react to them. In Marvel and other games you can actually see the mixups, it's just tough to block. Apology Man got to top 8 in SCR because he is used to airdasher mixups and could block them efficiently. Chris G, too, is notable for being very good at blocking. He'll get top 8 at pretty much any game because he has fantastic defense. Anime Fighters and stuff like that are all stuff you watch and pay attention. They really aren't that compared to the Capcom flagship alternative. I'm okay with both kinds of mixups existing. It enforces matchup knowledge, player tendencies and such for being able to follow and predict what will happen. I happen to not particularly --like-- mixups that you can't see, but i'm okay with them existing because some characters simply need it or there's no way to get around it from a development standpoint. A lot of strategies are accidents thought up from the players and were not directly intended by the creators. Mixups are not always guessing games. It's not really prevalent in airdashers. It is in other fighter genres, though. ZomB, I love you, but this is incorrect. Humans can reliably and consistently react to something as quick as 0.13 (8 frames) of a second if they are focused. Like they see/hear on 0.00, but they begin to queue a reaction on 0.13 and the reaction reaches the necessary area of the body and is carried out by 0.15 Sometimes quicker if the individual is talented or skilled. Anything longer is easy mode. Even if the animation is tricky, like Narukami's overhead or Wolverine's Purple Stuff > Berserker Slash/Cross Up Berserker Slash, it can be seen if the individual is looking for it. And if you're playing a fighter, one should be focused so there you go. It's a wonder why anyone gets hit by the slow overheads in Persona (seriously, like 21, 27 frames? That's almost half a second!) unless they're sleeping, which, of course, is part of the setup. I know, i'm sorry. Even though i'm not sick anymore, I'm still very busy and I simply forgot. I'll update it right now. So anyway Stop arguing over semantic junk that everyone keeps dismissing and coming back to argue over the same points over and over. This is nonsense. Since it's gone this far and everyone keeps ignoring each other, take it to PM's or Skype or in person. We're going to start talking about MTNG, Naimat's birthday (the tournament day! Happy birthday!), and planning for majors.
-
I agree with this. It's said well. Ditto. I've always been terrible at fighting games, playing them for... heck, now that I actually think about it, maybe the same amount of time, a couple years less. It's taken me that long to actually understand "Oh, so this is how it really is..." and get to where I am today. Still not amazing, but striving.
-
can I pick at number 5? If you set them up, then you force your opponent to think a certain way and that's why it's called a set-up, and why you train your opponent. Set-ups involve forcing a thought process. I don't really understand what you're saying here. Are you talking about... Like.. I dunno. Can you elaborate?
-
Haha I dunno about that, maybe some items actually need to be ON cause of the game. Patrick's Order Sol is baller. I love it. It is on the 16th. Yukiko is better than people give her credit for, but she's still not great. >,> I don't think you, or anyone else, has put the rest of us off because of trying too hard, so you shouldn't feel like that. All of us actually want to nurture your competitive vibes, it's just a distance problem that prevents you from visiting more often, I think. If you want to be competitive, be competitive and do what you can to improve yourself. Don't get discouraged, cause then you're just gonna feel worse. =O Yes, some salt is good. I actually think I understand what you were trying to say with your last paragraph. However, lemme segue into something. I think you, Volpe, and one or two others think that the rest of the community isn't serious about being competitive. We are, we just aren't serious-face about it. Instead we laugh and have a good time, because that's what playing games is all about. It's cool to be serious and concentrating, but it's also fine to laugh about it, as well. Someone's outward expression toward a game is not indicative of their take on it. =D I learned a bit more and confirmed a few things about Shadow Labrador, myself. YO 6H IS THE BEST TERRIBLE MOVE EVER. DOOOOM (CH) DOOOOOOOM. (dizzy) DOOOOOOOM. (roman) DOOOOOOOOOM WHERE DID ALL MY LIFE GO. Yosuke is definitely a fun character. He's so silly and fun. I like fighting you, too, Minion, we should get moar casuals at the tournament! Asterius whips his hair back like a shampoo commercial.
-
Hahaha dude, This is so silly. XD This is the most fraudulent versus game i've seen. Literally, anyone can play and have an equal shot at winning. They did well at making it accessible, but for people that think like a 2D fighting game player, it's cringe-worthy.
-
Lmao I take everything back I said about Playstation Allstars. This game is complete and utter trash. Need to go through some serious rulesets if we're going to make it playable at all. There is no way I can take it even remotely seriously. Might get an out of stater or two for next MTNG. Practice up. Edit: Just won an FFA match by doing pretty much nothing but spinning around in one spot, getting 2 bars at the end and throwing Kuma at the last remaining person.
-
Loved hanging out with the Cookeville guys, BoomCube, and Mellis. =D lots of fun and Playstation Allstars is actually kinda hype for a failed game and when Big Daddy isn't on the screen. Good sets in both arcsys games with Minion, wish we had the presence of mind to play moar. Ditto to mellis @Final Round peeps: To be clear up the wonder, there is definitely a BlazBlue side tourney going on at Final Round. Jyosua and The Great Reptar are throwing it on Friday.
-
It's how one plays Yosuke, IMO. We don't have giant confirms, but we do have tech traps, resets, and mobility.
-
Bueno. I'll see you tOnight, hopefully, then! See you too, Thackston, if you can make it. I'm bringing Playstation all stars as a diversion for when we need a break.

WHO'S SWANGIN' THROUGH TO KAOS THEORY TOMORROW? I am. And they have pitchers of alcohol for you guys for 5 bucks, I was just told. With the next MTNG and a lot of majors ahead of us, I both hope and expect to see a lot of people at the Game Galaxy (which I will resume going to now that my schedule is clear) and Kaos Theory weeklies going forward. Cookeville crowd, I wanna see you guys this way, too. I'd show up over there, but Wednesday is a schedule conflict for myself, but I know Friday is not for you all. =\ I'll even chip in for gas.

Hey guys. No combos or shenanigans today, just information. To clarify some things about Tentarafoo that we were talking about earlier. It's necessary to reiterate that it's plus ANYWHERE and the opponent cannot Furious Action after a successful one ANYWHERE. Midscreen, corner, whatever. They -must- block if you hit them with a C Tentarafoo. D and EX move them far enough away to that they can act, but all C Tentarafoos, even ones canceled from blockstrings reward you with advantage for your risk of using it. From this distance (a little more than raw C Tentarafoo) On all characters it is POSSIBLE to run up 5B, but it's tight on anyone with a 9-frame or less DP such as Chie, Akihiko, or Teddie if they're mashing it. On those characters, I recommend doing 5C instead cause of it's range and if you do mis-time and they DP, it hits the persona instead of you, allowing you to recover and punish appropriately. Anything closer and you can move just a little bit and get a 5A blockstring going. Insant airdashing is too slow and will always get beat out by a DP, but if you don't think that they'll throw it out, then by all means, go ahead. This doesn't mean Tentarafoo is any less risky, i'm just driving home the point that you are rewarded no matter where you are on the screen. You always have the advantage from a successful one. If they do any normal or special, it'll get stuffed. Invincibility from supers is not tested, but I don't think it'll push through. Best damage combo with 50 meter is Tenta > OMC Run > 5C, 2C, B Run, Crescent Slashx2, Knives. Does 3077, gains back 4 unless someone has another idea. If you already knew this, good, this is review. If you didn't here, you go. I urge you all to keep playing around with Yosuke, you'll find stuff like this.
-
We'll try it this MTNG. That's no good. You should hang with us more often while you're here.
-
What's the community like out there in Chatt-town? I'll see what I can do. YO VOLPE ARE YOU ALRIGHT, MAN? Cooooooooool! Final Round is definitely much closer and probably less costly a trip. FR Stuff- ZomB said he'd house 7 or 8 or something of us. So that's my car and first claim after that. BlazBlue: Play Lambchop. Real Talk: It's kinda different for everyone. Career choices happen differently and you realize what you want to do differently than others may. Personally, my career choice plays off of my Supportive-Heart personality. I talk people into buying stuff to solve their problems and help others grow as individuals and salespeople. Good, we're glad. <3 Volpe forever Aegis' overhead is telegraphed, yes, is instant. Persona's not a terribly high damage game with the likes of Marvel and Tekken. It's damage can be high, but it's all over the place. I don't agree that it should be 3/5, though, because just like any other airdasher, it changes burst theory a lot and only makes the strong characters stronger with more opportunities to gold burst or One More Burst without too much to fear which are the big factors in doing more damage, the mid characters stay where they are, and poor Labrys no longer exists in the game cause of her axe meter mechanic. But then again Labrys is bottom of the barrel in the first place, so let's go 3/5 if enough people agree. I can stand behind this.
-
This is true. Suku is a big deal for him, it changes and improves a lot about him. Learning how to control the speed burst and new cancellation options is important so that one can use it advantageously.
-
I haven't gotten to much Sukukaja stuff, yet, but it's been on my to-do list: Damages with Garudyne are in parentheses. Sukukaja autocombo is actually kind of okay, , doing a j.2B > air backdash after the fourth crescent slash deals 2295(3074, can't combo j.2B into Garudyne) and builds an fton of meter; 38 Modifying it a bit to 5AAA, Crescent Slash, Crescent Slash (Cause you can just keep mashing A, no need to do motions), j.2b, jump cancel j.C, D Knives does 2368(3127) and gains 38 meter so already we have a better alternative. Pssych's 5A > 5B > 5C > 2C > delay 236B > Air 236A~A x4 > j2B does 2913(3681) and gains 27 Optimizing it for Knives Damage (j236A~A's, j.2B, jump cancel j.C, Kunai) does 2963(3800) and gains 26 Ending with j.2B is the better option if you're not killing with it cause you can j.2B > Backdash and j.D. So if you're not comfortable with dash cancels, those are your options. However, we don't use Sukukaja mode just to do the same combos we could do in normal mode. Something interesting is that the Moonsaults from 5AAA don't count as Moonsaults /in that direction/ so you can get funny stuff like moonsaulting twice in one direction without the use of Mirage Slash.... which leads to funny looking stuff like 5AAA, A~A, j.236A~A, EX Moonsault, EX Moonsault in the corner and it's all on the same side. (Does 2298, by the way.) And that's all I got for now. I've been sick for the past week and i'm going back to bed.

Off of an instant overhead, nah, not in Persona. Non-counterhit damage kinda maxes out before resembling BlazBlue's 9k. Off of a bs move, only on fatal counter. Or counter-hit raw supers. Okay. =o Why exaxctly do you want us to st Edit: I have no idea what happened to this sentence. Why do you want us to stop you? Current passenger list for the Millnmobile: 1. Milln 2. Justin 3. Klein 4. Star 5. Naimat I'll send you a picture of Yipes or Jwong so you can freak out, okay? If you're in Chattanooga, maybe the Cookeville crowd would, but I don't think anyone would do a Saturday/Sunday thing. Why not consolidate and bring your guys to us instead of willfully split up? Or you could throw one on the last week of Feb. I can't think of any conflicts with that. Correct: 9th: AE, MvC3, GG at Game Galaxy 16th: GG, Persona, whatever else we feel like running at Game Galaxy 23rd if Napalm doesn't want to come over on the 16th: Persona charity event at Chattanooga. Milln Note: Being sick is bad, guys. You lose the will to respond to individual posts.

Came here to post the exact same thing. Drive safe and watch out for the other guy. @AnneFrank: reading your post made me laugh out loud in my store.

I'm with Tad. We're all rootin' for you, man! <3 Make us proud~

Yes, you are the only person going to Winter Brawl. Why can't you use your ps3 controller at Final Round? If I remember correctly, FR's setups are ps3 and they have desynch stations.
