Yup. And when he got called out on being wrong, banned Lord Knight from the irc.

Hurry up and announce the Evo games so I can find out whether or not I need to practice Persona and KOF or just KOF.

NAPALM WASSUP MAN. I WHOLLY SUPPORT THIS EVENT. LET'S GO WE IN THERE. That is, if I can swing a double Saturday(First one is taken up by co-hosting KiT) off with my DM. I'll look into it. Napalm come to Kumite., bring your friends, and we can talk about cool stuff.
-
@Kumite: Since it's a given that most of you are coming, INVITE PEOPLE! We won't grow as a community, nor will we meet new people if we don't do the footwork of spreading the word. My first "legitimate" tournament was a Kumite and it's how I met both KO and Tad, people I don't know what i'd do without. Great experiences for new people to the scene and those already established. @Winter Brawl: I won't be going unless 3 or more people want to go with me. It's a long drive and I really don't want to make that trip without a full car. @Chattanooga: Oh my god it's DeathNapalm! I love that guy! I think he's one of Grimstar's friends and is recently returning from the same dimension Kain goes whenever he leaves us. I'm not sure if I can swing two Saturdays in a row with my work, though. I'll look into it. @BlazBlue Child's Play: Someone bring it over when it comes out. I'm cool with pressing buttons. @Persona: Persona is awesome. @Fighting Games: IT'S A NEW YEAR. I guess that means i'm supposed to go back to practicing or something... Maaaannn... @AirMech: AirMech is a great game. @Jackie: I'll install your screen protector at Kumite. @ @ symbols: You're useful. @Same Move Proration: I never want to see a combo that focuses on using the same move

It's just a singles tournament.
-
That should be everyone except for Woz and Volpe.
-
There's a Rocko's Modern Life scene where one of the Chameleon Brothers takes a deep breath and says "Becaaauuuuussssse" in funny voice, but I couldn't find it easily. Speaking of Winter Brawl, I might want to go to that, too. Ragnarok and Arson already invited me and if anyone else wants to go, that'd be hype, too. KOF is there and i'm eyeballin' it real hard. All aboard the Millnmobile, if 3 or 4 others come that's the only way i'll go.

We play both Persona and Guilty Gear. Along with everything else. Big shouts to everyone that came to the New Year's Party, it was lots of fun. Sadfaces and We Missed You! to the ones that couldn't come for the myriad of reasons. Would host again. =O EVERYONE SHUT UP EVERYONE JUST HUSH LISTEN UP JANUARY TWENTY-SIXTH. I said this earlier, but just in case no one heard me or skipped the post or something, there is a BIG (Tekken) TOURNAMENT on the 26th! This is our next tourney. Practice up in your games, learn your crap, learn your matchups, learn your games, get your experience. I am confident in our abilities to make a good showing. Let's get in there! Below is a map of the competition that has confirmed for Tekken. I'm sure that Tad has been doing what I asked of him and inviting Guilty Gear players. I've been inviting Persona players. This should be a great event for us to make a splash for Middle Tennessee Needs Gaming!

I would like to take the time to put this here: That is a map of all the players coming that have confirmed for Tekken. It's probable that they'll also show for Marvel, Persona, and Gear. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS AT THIS IS PRIME COMPETITION LET'S GO JANUARY 26th!!
-
Alright, i'll come get you, but I Require food or gas. =O You better! I've got a Christmas Present with your name on it here for you.
-
Are you at Star's? =O I'll leave to pick you up in maybe an hour or something.
-
Are you still in Antioch? I suppose I could come get you. I'm done cleaning and doing preliminary setup. =O Try setting it to ps3/pc and then rebooting your computer while it's still plugged into the USB port. Computers and sticks are finicky about that sometimes.
-
Well, how's Star getting here? I assume that whoever's bringing him would also bring you?
-
YO. Everyone. On New Year's Day, we're all going to breakfast at this awesome place called Farmer's. It's a great buffet so bring some money if you were planning on leaving your wallets at home for some reason. As if you were scared to money match me in Mario Tennis 64.

Double post for video game news: Nintendo of America president Reggie thinks none of us have any friends and that's why the wii-u is selling poorly. He does, however, keep the notion that video games cause violence out of his mouth, though. http://www.p4rgaming.com/?p=878 The article does yield a pretty great image, though.

Right. And that's the only thing I'm stating: is that a very high percentage of the time in a match, a combo will end in an air throw.
-
@Volpe: yes some characters have grounded combos, I'm not ignoring them. I'm very confused, though, when you say you don't see air throw Enders being the prevalent ender. Watching and dabbling in Melty over the years that's how it's always been and double checking a couple match videos shows me it's how it continues to be. I'm not saying the game is poor because of this, I'm saying it's not fun for me. I like the game until I start seeing air throws.
-
Well, for one, they all look almost the same and that's hella boring. Two, it's never not able to happen unless you drop the combo on accident or you don't put them into the air in the first place cause of spacing, so I have to watch it every time either character gets a hit. Three, it's pretty much the best option. There isn't a reason you'd end a combo differently. It always gives you fantastic oki, some more than others depending on character, and I don't believe in hard knockdown off of every single combo and still get good damage. The end result of a hard knockdown is the same, yes, but it creates a different atmosphere.
-
I'll play it until you guys get good enough to where 80% of the match's combos end in air throws. For me, it's fun until it reaches that point. Then again, I kinda don't care about the current generation of fighting games. I like my older and the silly games. Flying Dragon 64 on SD mode, imo.

Sounds like Jackie's mom.

Tad and I just did a first to 15 in Tetris Attack. It was Tad's first time playing the game. Both him and I are wondering how he managed to miss that game. Merry Christmas! NEW YEARS. NEW YEARS.
