  1. Just make sure you upload finals matches first in line. That's what most people only care about. @Grimstar/Astaroth: PLEASE STOP
  2. , you can throw casuals out the window until tournaments over. But even then, if it's budget, any TO(even me) will collect venue from you if you go just for casuals. You might as well enter.
  3. Has everyone who's going or not going to Final Round told me about it? I have Klein and Midnight. I already know Astaroth is going. Jackie/Star/Volpe/Grim/other people I fail to mention? Klein and Midnight are riding with me if we don't take the bus, I imagine.
  4. Well that's one of the big differences between 2D and 3D. Mid attacks are considered "overheads" and blocking low ducks most highs and you get hit in the face with Mids.
  5. Only thing I can say to you guys right now that are getting into Soul Cal, is "Remember to block low". I will offer my own guru-ness for training through online and at the next MTN whenever Astaroth isn't reminding me how to play.
  6. Midnight plays lolis. Elysium is not a Loli. Nevermind forgot about Litchi and Nu/Lamb. Yeah. It's a midnight character. @stick: I stopped reading at "Street Fighter IV SE" @Star: lawls
  7. You won't be playing Elysium, Star. She's a mimic character and each round you switch fighting styles. Elysium mimics all the females.
  8. I'm looking like gritting my teeth and playing this incarnation of Raph I truly loathe. "Gimme Dat crotch" sig worthy. "Holy crap Elysium has giant boobs. I know they nerfed these chests but did they give it all to her??" sig worthy, especially since it came out of nowhere. Or playing PLEASE STOP/Nightmare/Siegfried. Edit: online really is good. I had 4 bar connection with Astaroth, and 5 bars with Grimstar and could react/setup whatever I wanted. Press a button and something happens, you have almost all your frames! And you guys know I love my frames.
  9. I'll reiterate something Astaroth has said: learn the Spacing on all your moves and where they hit and how they track. 8wayrun.com Do not waste you time trying to be a retard and figuring out combos. Know what anyone will do? Air control that S. gtfo, get in training mode and figure out what your crap is. Then go and learn everyone else so you know what's a low and what's not. Then MATCH EXPERIENCE.
  10. 4th? That's Patrick, aka Boom Cube. Skinny white guy with a soulful deep voice. 5th would be you and Graham. Graham has a build like mine, but short hair. I think Graham lives in Cookeville, Patrick lives in Murfreesboro/Nashville. Competitive Gamers are everywhere, doing the things they do, making the world a better place and keeping Papstr fed. @Astaroth: you seem suspiciously short on your conversations. You okay, friend?
  11. Maxi has lots of stances. And when he's in a stance, he changes to different stances over time while passing the nunchuks. He definitely takes getting used to. @Clean Hits: it isn't just unfair if I'm the one getting hit, if I clean hit someone I still consider it bs. I mean, imma deal with it. I'm just expressing my dissatisfaction with this feature. @Star: you're fine, man. I have to work tomorrow anyway.
  12. I like this guy. Incoming string of perfects.
  13. Suppose you get two Clean Hits in a match. Very possible. That's one extra attack you didn't -earn- because of a percent chance. I simply disapprove.
  14. I've chipped people out with drive moves, since all specials and most drives do chip damage before. Losing to a throw you teched is as hilarious as tripping in Brawl. Amusing maybe the first or second time. Rage inducing every time after that. And F random "Clean Hits". Random chance to critical is a good idea, guys. I've got it trigger on everything; barely touching, hitting deep, throws, whiffing... I -really- want to like this game, but my Soul Calibur 2 'heritage' is wearing. Heck, my competitive gamer mindset is wearing.
  15. SC5 is rubbing me the wrong way so far, but I'm giving it so many chances until I give up just go play King of Mexicans.
  16. What? I'm too busy hating on all the "new additions" and changes to SoulCal to understand what you guys are talking about. I lost a match by taking damage from teching a throw. You read right.
  17. 667 for all your drive and 2 stocks? Only if it kills. 876 for all your drive and 4 stocks? Sounds good, if you hit your overhead, youve probably been doing something to them to make them block low, so they'll probably die from the combo from previous damage. I approve of the Nigel and other assorted pokes. Tad is a baller.
  18. Dude and it's Black History Month. Ain't tonin' NOTHIN DOWN I'm finna be talmbout some KFC bruh. On the serious, word to Feberary and all it means. Solemn G's to Rosa Parks for not takin' no sass. Two days later: Milln's banned.
  19. SF community gets dramatic when Zangief or ps3 is mentioned.
  20. 1st question: Nothing. I didn't say anything about disapproving of Lumin. 2nd question: Nothing. I didn't say anything about everyone having a hive opinion. You get upset at the slightest thing, man. It seems like you are always raging at -something- whether imagined or real and when we call you out on it, you back off with something similar to "just trolling umad?" You really need to calm down with how you act when you're discussing. You overreact constantly whenever anyone (Naimat for pure example) says anything derogatory about you or the characters you play. You get so frustrated about not playing a game the way you think you should be able to(KOF) that you lose interest like five times in a row. And I note that this only happens on the forum. In person you're much more docile and I love being around you (lawl star go to sleep stop doing labwork. Muussstt Noeeelll) I don't get it. You get so wrapped up in what isn't important(combos in a normals-driven game, what your alias is for a particular game or tournament) and I don't understand it. After you chill with us for awhile away from your computer and chill at the venue or my house or at Steak N Shake, you're wonderful. Online you always have like thirteen chips on your shoulders. Lighten up, seriously. No one, ESPECIALLY me, is ever attacking anyone. Edit: you be aight, man. You know you my main squeeze.
  21. You'll notice that it did. It took Lumin to come in with hit boxes and an essay. Granted, it kind of stems from not all of us are great at explaining points, but you know. I'm sorry if I offended you Star.
  22. Kajoq, with a Q, sir. Not a G. Edit: @Volpe: Star specifically instructed to say exactly what I said whenever I feel he's about to ignite an unnecessary argument. It would seem he forgot. I almost did. =o
  23. Oh that. I remember that, yeah. Naimat's tier list is hilarious
  24. When did Astaroth say that? I don't remember.
