Haha, definitely GGs Phil. Your Tao is still as aggressive as ever. Some of those crossups (and fake crossups) really confused me. And the corner pressure... oh the corner pressure. Luckily, I've read info and seen videos on how to handle some of Tao's craziness. We'll definitely be playing more often.

Honestly, I hate getting 6c'ed into taunt loops... I haven't been up to anything except trying to stay cool. This heat wave is killer. Hopefully, before too long, we can get some people together for some CS. What have you been doing?

I played two bad ones and two decent ones, and pretty much, I agree with all of your points. However, with the air teleporting shenanigans, isn't there one where she cancels and charges a punch on the ground (I know nothing about her squirrel tactics)? That was the only time 2C failed for me. Also, it seems like once you have 50 heat, you can IB anywhere in her strings and 720. It just felt so much... easier to interrupt her with 720's.

I could've swore I put my name in here... UMAD Astaroth on XBL ^ And this ZeroTitan guy, he's pretty good. We fought in ranked and he was the first Tager on XBL to actually do a 2C FC combo to me (while 95% of the other Tagers on XBL treat 2C FC like a "normal combo"). Overall, he's pretty solid.

So backdashing in this matchup is impossible. Since a lot of her attacks have followups, you'll just be eating free damage.

I've beat the dive with AC a few times. Otherwise, IB and punish.

I just popped in to see if you Tennessee Tekken fanatics still existed. Turns out, you still do. Hopefully, Middle Tennessee will see a little more action with the upcoming BlazBlue sequel. Heh, thanks man. A lot of people underestimate me when they first see me. That's one reason why I love attending these. Anyway, I've always had trouble against good Bang players. You don't know how close I came to picking Nu against you, but I didn't want to do that twice in a row. Honestly, I mainly did that to Lil Majin for two reasons: he was in the other two tournaments, while I was only in one; and he beat me in the grand finals of a SC4 tournament in Astaroth mirrors. I was already out for blood against him. Lil Majin's a great guy though, and he completely understood when I told him I was in it to win it. For some reason, I don't think I missed ANY inputs against you in our matches. I messed up inputs all day against other people. My favorite moment had to be Voltic Charge -> 720 while you ran right into my hand. Poor Noel... x_x

I was VERY glad I was able to make this one. You all wouldn't believe the things that nearly kept me from attending. Weather, sick family, leg brace broke, lack of a ride... Nonetheless, I made it. Vandy and CodEZ - Awesome setup, turnout, and organization. You guys and the rest of the crew made the whole thing a great experience. I was proud to be a part of that one. Tad - Great job directing the BB tournament. Glad you got a rematch in, and as always, we need to get more matches in next time. Hope Tager didn't hurt you too bad... Lil Majin - Good games in BB. I kinda hated abusing the counterpick against you, but now that I see you won over $800 in Tekken, I don't feel bad at all. Placing top 5 in all three of those tournaments is just ridiculous! Two words: GOOD SHIT! BoomCube - Your Tager had definitely improved since we last met. In fact, in our one casual mirror match, you won. I was really impressed in the matches you and Lil Majin had. I can't do crap in those mirror matches, but you held your own against him and nearly won. Linuka - One thing: I had those matches won if I would've held Collider down for one more second. Nu vs Tager is crazy, but I had NEVER fought such a patient Nu that didn't spam D,D -> 66 when they were cornered. I waited on that all day, but hardly ever saw it. Bishop - You were really quiet, and that Bang of yours demolished me. I've always hated Bang vs. Tager. I've never been good in that matchup. Nice job on 2nd. Midnight - We never got to play, but I watched some of your games. Your Nu was 1,000 times better than when we first met. Also, weren't you using Rachel, Arakune, and a few others in casuals? Good stuff for 1st. Cameron and Nastynote (at least, I think it was Nastynote -- I'm bad with names) - Great matches guys. We played more than 50 casual matches, which really helped warm me up for the PS3 controls. Nice Ragna and Hakumen. And thanks for letting me use your controllers throughout. I'm such a hobo... Phil - Sorry I disappointed you by not winning the BB tournament. I will look into getting a modded 360 controller or something. The PS3 controls just messes me up sometimes.

I might not make it. A family member is in the hospital, and it's starting to snow a lot. People have been telling me that roads are getting pretty bad, so everyone drive safe, especially those coming from out-of-state.

I'm still attending this, even though I haven't been around much at all thanks to ridiculous amounts of college work. Also, is BB going to happen? I think when all of this was first talked about, everyone was on the ropes about it...

Yeah, sorry, but that's been known for a while. It acts weird on certain characters IIRC (they land right before they reach your hand when they tech) or it's just the time they tech. I usually just do A Sledge + followup. For me, resets against Tao are weird. She seems to land right before collider connects. blah blah -> Collider -> 6C -> Collider -> Collider is the one I'm thinking of. Plus, she can just use her drive in some situations anyway.

LMAO! I barely use Nu anyway. No other character is as fun as Tager...

That's why I have Nu as a secondary. Oh wait, Bang rushdown can be hell in that matchup too...

Agreed. Also, there are almost no great Tagers on XBL anyway. Seriously, me and McSoap seem to be the only decent ones that I've seen. 98% of them can't even do a simple backdash to 720. Where are they all hiding? Kensk, I've never seen you in a room or anything. Jiyuna told me you were pretty much the only other decent Tager he's fought. I might have to look you up pretty soon...

I'm having a ridiculously hard time in this matchup since I started facing "Bang pros." People keep saying IB then punish, but where to IB is the question. His pressure game just seems ridiculous. What's the matchup numbers look like for this one? Is it really 6-4?!

Tell me about it! People don't even neutral tech after my [Generic combo] -> Shot -> Backdash -> 720. They just lay there. But yeah, A sledge spam works. What else could work there? A People's Elbow perhaps if they're cornered?

They're holding BB ones bi-weekly at Game Galaxy... er, in a room near Game Galaxy. Just thought you might like to know.

I've only fought a hand-full of people who have tried that, but my solution is Shot Just charge that Shot while they're running. Then, shoot it while they are falling from a jump. Even if they block it, they're now magnetized. Now they have to be cautious in the air. When they aren't magnetized, you can try creating a "moving wall" with j.D. You might intercept their airdashes with it if you predict correctly. Arakune running away is by far the most annoying in my opinion...
