  1. She didn't have taunt loop in CT, she do two taunts for around +200 to +300 damage, it wasn't required. Her non-taunt combos already do around the same damage (or more for throws) than CT. Her drives are getting more recovery, just like CT Tao had. She's getting back her old cat2 from CT possibly (in addition to the one we have now). Loketest 1 CS2 Tao = CT Tao, for the most part. Except she has 9500HP still (possibly), and retains her j.2B (j.B in CS1) buff. CT Taokaka was mid tier too, I think we'll manage just fine.
  2. Pretty much it's just back to CT Tao for most of these. I'm fine with that.
  3. (Complete middle of the screen only) 5B -> 3C -> AB2 -> 6C -> 6C -> 2B whiff -> 6C -> 6C -> HJC7 -> j.236Bx5 -> JC9 -> j.236Bx5 -> JC9 -> j.236Bx5 [5.1k] Could probably be worked around on other parts of the screen by whiffing different moves and changing up the number of 6Cs. This even works on 2A->3C midscreen for 4.5k. I'd like to find something that's a little less position specific though. Obviously trying to find high damage non-taunt stuff for CS2, this is the first place I thought to look. Although we don't know what the next few loketests have in store for Taokaka. It looks like she's keeping all of her CS non-taunt BnBs though.
  4. No, that would just keep doing j.236B, lol. j.B is (apparently) the first two hits of CT's cat spirit 2 (it explicitly says CT cat2, 2 reps in the untranslated text). Which means knockdown and being able to lower an opponent's height mid combo. Should open up a lot more opportunities for oki again if that's right. Hopefully.
  5. To get more specific, Taokaka with no taunts does 3.6k off 5B/grabs, 3.1k off j.B/j.C air-to-ground, 4.7k off 6C, 2C, 3C, and 3.7k-3.9k off random aerial CH j.B/j.C/j.D. She never needed taunt loop in CS in the first place. But it ended up offsetting her HP nerf, and knockdown nerf, and the knockdown nerf seems to be going away if I read things right.
  6. - Taunt Loop gone = fuck yeah - j.B is CT's cat2x2, not CS'. This is important, cat spirit 2 in CT had knockdown and a vertical hitbox. - Drive stiffness+hitstop = Going to have to see what that actually changes. Might be really bad, might be nothing major. - The comment about health isn't about health at all I think. Pretty sure it's about her AB2 combo being fine. Searching "2匹 タオカカ" on nicovideo gives you the AB2 ender video.
  7. I wonder how far he'll go in SBO. It'll be interesting to see.
  8. >Makoto does 3C >Taokaka interrupts with 6C
  9. It's pretty obvious why. +2k for 30-35 heat is hard to pass up. That's why we're all practicing this right now.
  10. Updated the first post with Tager/Jin AB2 enders. What's a good, consistent Arakune one?
  11. 6B does give adv on block and does work on more characters in CS than it did in CT. And on the people it does combo on, it will do ~4k. It also combos on everyone with meter. But yeah, compared to some characters her up close mixup is lacking. But that's not where her main damage should be coming from anyways.
  12. Off 2D normal hit [4152] or CH air j.C/j.B->land [~3750]: 2D~5 -> 6D~6 -> j.C -> .. 9D~9 -> j.2D~C -> j.C -> .. -> 9D~9 -> 3D~3 -> j.236B -> 3D~3 -> j.236Bx5 *Extra 3D~3 ->j.236B for 2D start. Look at the very first post before asking.
  13. (Tech/Airdash into clap) xN ;_;
  14. She gets 4k off any random CH, 4.6k off grabs, 5k off crawling and CH air-to-air drive (which confirmed proper), 6.8k off 6C, and +2k when she has 50 heat (proration doesn't matter, involves min. damage). That's the kind of consistent BnB damage very few characters in the game actually have (except for Ragna/Litchi). And the fact that her drives have way less recovery than CT, and she lost almost all of her bad CT matchups. All she really lost was her oki, which you can get back by sacrificing damage or doing a hexa-edge at the end of a taunt loop. She didn't even have amazing oki in the first place, just average. Fly around well with triple jumps/double dashes/drive cancels -> Punish opponents mistakes via whiff punish/CH -> Big damage, if you have the execution. Her up close game is pretty average, her counter assault is probably the best in the game, and she has a reversal super. The only real bad matchups she has are the ones where she can't get in, because of big hitboxes on certain moves. It forces her to play a different way. Even then, those matchups are just 4.5/5.5. And that's just Ragna/Litchi really, because they can match her damage, they have oki, and they have moves with big hitboxes to somewhat subdue her movement. The Bang matchup all depends on if Bang can get in and stay in, but it's not that easy, it's probably an even matchup.
  15. Big shoutouts to Russel for obvious reasons. Organizing a huge tourney with multiple games and playing in them is awesome. Tofu, Leo: (Footsies -> 5C) xN Tofu: I think we did pretty well, it was obvious we were going to lose to Pui/Hermes' team, so whatever. I'm happy with the result. Linear: Trolling in tourney matches, double taunt Tager players at range. Also, holy shit at screwing up Nazir twice. How the hell did you activate your super mode then? Pui: I can't begin to understand the Carl matchup. By the time I stopped running into random shit, it was way too late. You're way above my level, obviously. Gotta train more at gety when I'm not lazy and spending time leveling down online. Hermes: You're so beast you won by not playing (in teams). K2: Godlike defense. Hindered severely by his loli. Oh well, BBCS2 is only months away. Wu: So mean ;_; Cambridge: Awesome cosplay, awesome headbands. Announcers: "The top XBL Tao" said every time just to embarrass me. Goddamn it worked, I was mad. I only play netplay bullshit for fun. Montreal: The secret extra Tager rangers! Pretty awesome you traveled so far for T11, nice dedication. Mortified: What the hell is sleep?! Anubis: FRKZ->Raining Shurikens! Awesome Bang mirrors in casuals. The couches and reclining chairs: The true god tier of T11. Shoutouts to hilarious team names and nicknames. Shoutouts to everyone who brought monitors and PS3s Shoutouts to a station being named K2, causing mass confusion. Shoutouts to the weather on Friday for making everyone pass out. At least we had the couch. Shoutouts for everybody on the BB side organizing this and running it smoothly. 6+ lagless LCD stations and a separate room for BB this time around. Much different than T10's experience. If I forgot anyone I'll edit it in here. Should have just used stick, PS3 pad is even more awkward for my hands, couldn't even QCF on the right side half the time, haha. That combined with tourney proration wasn't a good combo. I guess it's time to level back up at gety again. That's always a good solution. Fun stuff guys, and ggs.
  16. 2AAAAAA 6A .... it hits Gwahahaha, brilliant.
  17. Huh, what's this "sleep" thing you guys are talking about?
  18. Yeah, Linear, how about joining our team?
  19. 33 people I think. I know that losers, winners and grand were recorded. Probably some others on that far end TV too, although I'm not too sure. You can watch me get raped by both Zeero and Kousaka! And then watch them fight each other like always. But the streamers weren't there.
  20. Either Zeero or Kousaka got 1st, I didn't see the end of it. I got third, Sapphire got fourth I think. And Leo/Tofu were the fifth placers I think. Somebody correct me on these is I'm wrong.
  21. I also wonder if the extra +2000 damage Tao now gets from 20-30 meter changes her matchups at all. 5B to 6k is pretty ridiculous.
  22. On another note, anyone else think that Lambda, Tsubaki and Noel have worse matchups vs. Taokaka than what's shown in the chart? Especially Lambda. I would like to know what other people think about those matchups.
  23. It's 6C 6C. Four hits. Also, you might not be doing the taunt after AB2 at the right time, it has to pretty much be right away so they're propelled back up just enough for the 236C to barely hit. The other way is to have them higher then delay the taunt after the AB2 to just the right height, but that's more difficult to get consistently.
  24. And now for an AB2 ender in an online match: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIoovU-Hk9w
  25. Ah, well that would just be another 235 for me or 118 for the shadow I believe.
