  2. Here's a thread on the different ways everyone's favorite reverse trap can use traps. Will be updated as more ways to utilize Megido are found. Otherwise, discuss all things Megido-related here. MEGIDO FAQ 1. What are Megido traps? Done with 214C/D (and doable in the air as well), Megido traps are essential to Naoto's zoning, combos, and mixups. If the opponent gets hit by Megido (and in combos, if it's the first move to take away from the fate gauge) they lose 3 from the fate gauge. When the opponent gets close to where a trap is, a cross-hair-like marker appears at the trap's location. 2. What are the different versions of Megido? C version puts a trap in the air next to Naoto, D puts it on the ground underneath her, and EX puts out both versions at once. 3. How many can I have out at once? 2 of each version can be out at a time, for a total of 4. Additional traps get rid of the 1st trap that was set of the version that's used. 4. In what ways can my opponents get rid of them? If you get hit (blocking is fine), all your traps disappear. Also, your opponent can attack your traps or quick escape over them to get rid of them. MEGIDO USE 101 1. Zoning/Keepaway The most obvious use for Megido. Be sure to alternate between the placing them on the ground and in the air to make your opponent's approach as difficult as possible. Also if you find yourself in the air, you can annoy the opponent from above by dropping D Megidos and air dashing around. 2. Combos [*]In combos, D Megido has 2 primary uses: a combo starter or a Mudoon corner combo extender. An example of a combo starting with Megido would be: (opponent hits D trap) 5B>5C>IAD>j.B>j.C>land>5C>236B~Cx5, and an example of using Megido with Mudoon combos would be: 5B>5C>236AB>1M!Burst>5B>5C>IAD>j.A/j.B>j.C>5C>236B>236236D>(in corner)214D>236A~D>(trap activates) 2C>5C>IAD>j.B>j.C>land>5C>236A~D. Also, if you happen combo your opponent into a midscreen trap, you can change the combo's followup to that of a midscreen trap combo. In addition, a lot of combos can end with dropping a Megido instead of shooting, which leads to. . . 3. Mixups/Oki [*]In many situations Naoto can drop a Megido after a combo for oki. After dropping the trap, some options include using Quick Escape (A+C) to cross up your opponent, throwing the opponent when they recover, or trying a high-low mixup as they recover with a trap beneath their feet. If your opponent is ever close to a trap, you can create cross-ups with jumps and air dashes. 4. Pressure [*]Megido also lets you take full advantage of opponents who like blocking too much, especially when they're in the corner, by canceling moves into Megido. In addition, if your opponent has a trap behind them, you can make some unsafe moves safe if the move pushes them onto the trap if they block.
  3. Or just tell people to back their shit up in notepad or something. >_> It cool to repost stuff if we have it available?
  4. Uh, where'd the character sections go? >_> EDIT: Under construction ATM I guess?
  5. Yay, site's working again! : Undertow FRC Command throw input changed to 632146H 2 new moves, 214H (HSD Step) and 214D (FBD Step)
  6. Stupid site, get back online so I can see what's new w/ >_<
  7. Speaking of the Wiki, want us to add pics for the moves?
  8. 9. Honestly, none of the characters really look like ass so far. Sure, some characters *coughChieMitsurucough* look better than the rest, but no character looks like they're not viable.
  10. I just realized my last post didn't have the link to the vid I was referring to, so lemme retry this. If you watch her heal herself here, nothing happens w/ her SP besides the use of 50 for the healing move.
  11. If Labrys is any indication, that's probably just her boss music.
  12. If anything I'm guessing it's like BB, where if you stay on the ground too long the opponent can pick you up for a new combo, thus resetting the combo gauge.
  13. ^I'm pretty sure Meguro did it, but no word on if Ishiwatari helped. It'd be awesome (and not surprising) if some sort of collaboration b/t the 2 happened though. Anyways, just as a confirmation for anyone who's still unsure, Naoto getting IK off a defensive burst was due to Kaqn not teching. After studying other times Hamaon has been combo'd into, it's clear that Hamaon does 17 hits. So that should put the worries of combo-ing off a defensive burst to rest.
  14. Hamaon = 13 Orphans where if an opponent w/ 0 fate ticks guesses wrong, they die. Can't wait to use her. And regarding the fate gauge, this list is what I currently got in regards to Naoto's moves and how much they take off the fate gauge: 5th shot - 1 Rank 2 super - 5 Megido trap - 3 R-action followup (not sure which one) - 3 Throw followup - 2
  15. You should check this post in the Aki thread here, or this thread on MM from time to time. As for winning there's this, this, this, and there's more but I'm too lazy to link them. And this thread isn't for vids anyway.
  16. From zak89 on MM and and from this site: According to the scans, Labrys is the student council president at Yasogami High School (which the Persona 4 characters go to). Not much else is known about her except she speaks Kansai-ben, and wants Kuma to put a stop to his Mayonaka Arena tournament.
  17. It might just be a placeholder, but Amazon has P4A's release date set as August 7th. Also, HYPE
  18. ;_; It's. . . BEAUTIFUL!
  19. ^Uh, I'm pretty sure it's just 4 ATM for the loketest. I'm sure the final version will have more.
  20. http://blog.livedoor.jp/ggxx_matome/archives/51772941.html According to that site through Google Translate (lol), 1. Something about 8 colors. I'm guessing 8 alt colors per character? 2. Score Attack was added in. AI is really good in it (like BB's SA) 3. 4 stages in Arcade mode then game over, still no word on a boss character or story events in this mode.
  21. hypehypehypehype for potential PS3/360 release. Please make it happen ASW!
  22. Updated OP, bumping thread while I'm at it. New MaxOut tourney 1/21 btw.
  23. That tutorial is delicious. The music makes it even more delicious. *omnomnomnom*
