  1. Remember that other shoe?
  2. I like the new primers thing, and in my opinion, Mu should have always had 4 primers. That doesn't bother me. Thing is GG (and I am no expert on GG), was still very controlled, CS1 and CT weren't. ALot of the changes seem to be geared to making the game more agressive, which is fine. But they appear to be ramping up reward alot, to much reward limits player interaction and makes the games less interesting and more random.
  3. It's not that I don't like, it's what they are doing with the characters. THey are ramping everything up (for the most part), in large part, this was one of the big problems with CT and CS1. It's a little hard to tell why the Loketest rubbed me the wrong way, I just got a bad vibe from reading all the changes. But who knows, I could be all wrong.
  4. Lol, ArkSys doesn't like Tager. I really don't like this loketest though... there are still more coming I think, so I'm not gonna get too worked up.
  5. I still, think the direction of this loketest (Mu aside), isn't very good.
  6. System: Burst -No longer has the 25% heat mechanic -While bursting, the burst is invincible to all other attacks (I assume this means projectiles, as projectiles used to clash with bursts) -Green bursts has faster startup Barrier Guard -(in a nutshell) Using Barrier to block stuff costs more meter -Barrier gauge usage when only 1 primer left has been lowered -Other Mechanics are the same Counter Assault -Aside from characters who already could, now all characters can follow up from a Counter Assault -Using a counter assault permanently reduces your Guard Primers by 1 Throws -All characters(?) can follow up a throw midscreen now A attacks -All characters with self-gatling A attacks can only do it up to 3 times now. If there were limits before, they are still in place (like Taokaka A, which was 2) Grounded, Jump As -All characters(?) are evenly 300 (I assume this means damage, but it could be something else) Mu + j.B's attack hitbox is longer - Furu no Tsurugi (Sword of Decimation) can only break primers from level 3 and on - 4 guard primers Just putting this here for completeness sake. Credit goes to Xie for posting the changes. My thoughts. I don't like the direction of this loketest personally, it seems very extreme and knee jerk. Mu was good last loketest, so nerf the fuck out of her. I don't like people getting combo's off throw's all the time, and I don't like the sheer amount and strength of the buffs getting thrown around. This seems like the loketest where they are just throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks.
  7. I give up... no one is ever happy. If Arksys hands you lemons make lemonade, if Arksys hands you shit, you still gotta bludgeon the other guy to death with it.
  8. Oh... sorry... I should read better.
  9. Depressed? I was optimistic enough to predict that Tager won't be Tager tier anymore?
  10. Thank you. I'm okay with being wrong. The important thing is that I know what's right at the end. On that note, that's why I like Osuna. He's grumpy sure, but he always explains what he's saying.
  11. Frame data says 7 startup, 1+ active, and 16 recovery. 7+1+16=24. Fine, I'm wrong. I've been corrected by upstanding players both ways, and nobody has ever said otherwise... Seriously, Im confused at this point, which is it? Even DacidBro agreed with me. Do cancel's occur during active frames, or after? Note: In all honesty, this is a stupid thing to get worked up over. Things either work or they don't, this only really matters because we are discussing the viability of a theoretical buff that doesn't even fucking exist.
  12. Cancels don't occur until the active frames of the previous move end. Also, it only catches jumpers if they are in a knockdown state. Rough frame math says that it would make safe moves unsafe, unsafe moves punishable, and punishable moves easier to punish.
  13. But a cancel doesn't happen till the active frames are finished, so the fact that it has 6000 active frames wouldn't really matter.
  14. How? 5D has 23 frames of recovery and GF lasts for 24 frames. It would make it only +1 by my math.
  15. Still, it only makes them marginally safer... if at all. And that safety would be negated by the pull. Gadget lasts a minimum of 24 frames. It was a good, interesting idea, but it just won't work unless they change other stuff. Also, that was what 4D was for, up until they took away all our gattlings.
  16. That's a good point actually, they would have less frame disadvantage, but the bad guy would be closer so he could use faster moves. It really sounds like a wash at best.
  17. So the idea in a nutshell is, you can cancel moves to make them safer and maybe tack on a little pull at the end. I'll admit that is an interesting idea. However, Gadget lasts for a total of 24f, so it would only make some moves just a bit safer, and those are moves that we don't get alot of milage out of anyways, all of which would be safer by canceling into something else, like 3C. Easier answer would be to give us our 4D cancel's back.
  18. Except that it gets negated by doing stuff. So the thing that gets punished (damage) is eliminated by doing damage. The way they do it now, you hitting them in negative, doesn't make the negative go away.
  19. Noel isn't broken. She isn't even OP. She's just really, really, stupid.
  20. I've always described a good defense as the ability to stop blocking, rather than the ability to block more.
  21. NOT IF I SLEDGE YOU FIRST!!!!! They could do a more GG styled negative penalty, it kicks in faster and you lose you heat. Of course this makes less sense in the world of BB, in GG everything tied back to tension, in BB all these elements are separate.
  22. Probably not, unless the changed something else, j2C has pretty bad proration. The whole j2C fatal thing reminds me of when they added fatal to Tager's 6B. It's more for show as the move "feels big" then it is for practicality.
  23. DP on wakeup with no RC is actually very powerful, but not for the reason's most netplayers do it.
  24. ...Wha?... Do you even understand why that is one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard?
  25. A mid-sledge of some kind would be pretty cool... or just a flight mode, Tager has it in story mode, why not gameplay.
