  1. Thanks for the story, young sir. I'm sure you are talented in other aspects you haven't discovered yet. Really looking forward to playing some game with you, both casual and tournament types. I'm really interested in playing some BB with you as well. I still enjoy that game greatly, as I'm sure others besides myself and Star do. I'm off to Florida for a few days, I need to relax the old bones, and bury a few in some beach bunnies. I'll plan another hotel party or gathering when I return.
  2. Devin-kun, I gotta ask, how long have you been playing fighting games, and how long did it take you to 'get them?' Also, are you a musician or musically talented as well? @Star: Yeah, stunedge was the best Ky player in the states, and he's only here about half the year. He's one of only a handful of players I was never able to get a single win from. He was better than Steve Harrison is now, he's an absolute beast. If you haven't caught it yet his nick is Ky's projectile, which he rapes with. I imagine that's why he chose Yukiko. Similar attack angles with the projectiles. I'm certainly going to work with her next. Fuck Yosuke, I'll leave him to tall skinny bitches and guys with hats.
  3. @Star: Those Stunedge vids are inspiring. He used to rock shit with Ky, and I'm tempted to give Yosuke the boot for some fans and fire. Great find.
  4. Star lost that way last Saturday to similar tactics. I happens to the best of us. I took a loss to the worst May player in America a few years back at Final Round. Literally used two buttons the entire fight, and I couldn't find a way to beat it. I hope we have non-retarded mirrors in the near future.
  5. So there is a chance my I separated my shoulder at work today. We can only hope, because that means I'll get about a month of paid vacation while I heal. Guess what I'll be doing with my month off? Hee hee hee. So much games. Travel and play for a full month? If this works out, I'm gong to plan a serious injury every six months. Moffet-san, travel safely, hope to catch you on the flip side. Do you agree with this?http://shoryuken.com/2012/08/21/thinking-about-design-options-as-the-greatest-resource/
  6. I think it has far less to do with understanding the opponent's limited chara options, and more on facing the man holding the opposing controller. I'll think this until the day I die, I'd bet. It's the reason I handed you a loss and then got raped by Billy. It is a different kind of feeling, and it's the best kind, it's the one that nets you wins instead of losses. You don't have to have a deep understanding of everything thing that can occur in a match up to get a win, it's simply a piece of advantage you that may get a chance to use. I'm no where near the level of Milln/Arson/ShinBlade or most of the other KoF players, but I can steal wins by outplaying the situation when 'that guy' is holding the controller. I only say this as a coach by profession, but I got respect for you. Next time we play, I don't wanna see you playing the Kanji match-up as much as you play the Tad match-up. Klein calls out my bullshit all day long, because he knows I'm dishonest as fuck. Basically, you're black, so act like it. You should, at the very least, be blacker than me, right? Right? Don't take that shit. Addendum: I'm full of shit. <3
  7. So I can plan another local hotel party, or we can plan a meet-up with the OH/KY crew. What's next guys? We could also consider a hotel party in the Maryville area, since TN's child-beast is having travel problems.
  8. This can happen in every game, and many match-ups in said every game.
  9. Thanks to everyone for doing what they do that makes shit so much fun. Sorry about ducking out so quickly. I was not feeling well, and it got worse quickly, during P4U finals. I wasn't going to take away from the everyone's hype. No disrespect to anyone, which I think goes without saying. I really enjoyed what little Persona I played, and I still LOVE KoF. Special thanks to Memphis for coming out! Everyone will be catching up to me in Gear really soon, I only hope I can return the favor in Persona. <3
  10. My PSR is 0, fucking zero. Don't get your face pounded by a someone who has never won a ranked match.
  11. I was watching a little bit of the Level Up steam, but nothing exciting was happening. Skip it, at this point master the mechanics and just mash A.
  12. So stop fucking hating and just rush that shit down. Get up in that ass, Larry. Yosuke mirrors, let me show you them. I still fucking love KoF while talking about Persona.
  13. I have to work Saturday, I get off a noon, so that means 12:15 because that what happens. Sign me up for KoF, send me to losers if you need to, I'll be there by 1:30. Are there CRT's at the new arcade? Naimat and Klein, plz bring the gear setups. I'm not going to buy Persona I'm pretty sure. I'm just going to learn it while playing with others. Not sure why, but this is very much fun.
  14. You totally were. The first option is shit, it's always shit.
  15. By the time I'd quoted this, the quote function had picked up your correction in the edited version. I ate the DP. Dammit Chandler.
  16. Darkness of Fear, unless that shit is so epic that Desk wants your body, in which case the Trezire. If it's not over the top badass, the opera is too pretentious and would take away for the substance of the new technology you are dropping. Also, Darkness of Fear is going on my next mix tape. I made actual mix cassette tapes so I'm allowed to say that. Everyone's a critic, I had to have a turn.
  17. My Kanji is becoming quite homegrown. Finally, I'm loving P4U, not just liking it. I need to go to Cincinatti soon, and play games and chill with all the wonderful folk there. I shouldn't be the only one going.... See everyone Saturday. Also, don't forget to play Guilty Gear this Saturday.
  18. Had a fantastic time up in Cookeville everyone. Glad so many came out and had a good time. P4U is good. Looking forward to next weekend!
  19. Best Western Thunderbird, Suite 135 Just drive straight and we are in the building to the back, easy. See peepz soon!
  20. I should arrive in Cookeville around 4 PM, if I stay on schedule. Deja Vu. They wouldn't allow me to set it up so that anyone can check in early.
  21. Best Western Thunderbird is the venue. I got us a suite, it should be awesome. We can add a 2nd room if necessary. That gives us 2 TV's with the suite, and I did secure a HDMI setup. Looking good so far!
  22. Looks like we'll need 2 rooms. I think we are looking at at least 8, probably more like 10-12. Plz plan on around 15 dollars hotel split, so when it ends up being cheaper, you're happy. I'll figure out the hotel situation after I get off work this evening and post up. I'll just set it up so that anyone can check in to the rooms for anyone arriving before me. Thanks for the suggestions G-Ram. Also lolz on the frame drop lag stuff.
  23. Cookeville is a go. Right now I'm bringing Klein and Lee. I should be arriving around 4 PM if I can stay on schedule. I plan to leave Cookeville around check-out time on Sunday. I haven't booked a hotel, I didn't figure there was a need to reserve. Chandler, if you can do a little research to figure out the best host hotel, that would be cool. Size of the room vs. price etc, I'm confident in your choice. I'm not sure if we are going to need 1 or 2 rooms, but we should be able to play that by ear. I'll put the room(s) on my card and ppl can just pitch me a few bills. I'll also do non-smoking rooms as I assume most of you don't want to be immersed in a cloud of shit. I'm going to try to borrow an HDMI monitor, but it's unlikely that it will work out. If it does I'll bring my 360, but I'm short on software. I'm unsure if I can fit a CRT for a gear setup as well. I'm hoping that the local crew can provide equipment, so please chime in.
