I was thinking a good venue for the Kyle Cinci thing would be "The Quarters" which is a hotel beside IHOP. It's about 50 a night for one room, and they come equippped with like, 32 inch CRT's, perfect for Gear, Vampire, and all the other 'old' games. Large rooms, mini-fridge, etc. One of the better hotels I remember seeing for gaming in my long career of hotel partying. We are looking at about 10 bucks a person 'venue' and we get that shit for 24 hours, in a central location. My vot We can get rooms on the first floor, and they have an elevator if we can't. Also on Lee vs. Steps, I'm a top tier assist. Don't matter where we end up, we got this. I still haven't played UMVC3 once, but I cant' wait to play the new Thor. I think KoF is my favorite game since Guilty Gear. BlazBlue is pretty close, Vampire is like a more fun KoF 13.

Milln, Kyle and crew are coming down to to Nashville for a hotel party weekend, not a trip to Cincy. I can start bringing more equipment. I have both 360 and PS3, tho I do not purchase all the DLC. Venue? MWC room, probably our best bet, but I"m totally fine with packing it in at the arcade.

Cannot bring a gear setup, I can bring the PS2 and gear, can't fit my huge CRT in the car. If anyone has a small ass CRT with standard RCA or Coax, do bring plz if you want gear.

I will bring 1 TV, 1 PS2 w GGAC, 1 X360 stick, 2 PS2 sticks, 1 ps2-3 converter, which is all I have. I MAY be able to go to the Alabama tourney on the 10th, too early to tell.

Get KOF Chandler, if you don't like it, I'll buy your copy from you at what ever you paid for it. I think you'll like it very much, and the way KOF plays will likely improve you for fighter in a global sense. Learning a chara is about 1/5 the work of say, BB.

Actually, you did hit many of my faves.... Mill'n powers are strong with this one. I think he'll play Athena instead of Yuri.

VS may have small combos, but they are hard as fuck. Everyone likes different shit. I like GG, BB, and VS... but the only reason I still love BB is because of Valk and I love the engines and the play of the other games. I'm far better than out thinking my opponents and being creative than I am at following a flowchart and finishing my combos. I find that shit boring as fuck. For me turning a mistake or a drop into a reset is where the fun is. This is also from a player who can't stay in a focused and competitive mindset for more than a few minutes because I can't resist fucking around. Winning happens, loosing happens, but I always enjoy playing. It's the only reason I'm still doing this after 20+ years. I've met many an interesting person, but the most interesting have by far been those that understand the feeling of trying to think 60 times per second.

Running 5P (follow the backdash) 5S 2H 623H H is simple and even work on Potemkin. 6H works on much of the cast as reptar mentioned. but will likely whiff on charas with long backdash invincibility. It all depends on how close you are to the opponent on wakeup, really. You can react to a backdash if you are standing very close with 6P then follow with 5S 2H etc... there are many ways.

Naimat: Seriously doubt it. I don't see any traveling in my near future. Thumbs down, soldier.

Sad news. Due to an unexpected car wreck (no injuries) I have no choice to but cancel this. I hope to be able to do another SE-R sometime in early 2012. Hype Fail.
