Posting this here since I don't think there's any other place for it: DMG: 7521 Although this is a Throw combo, keep in mind the method used to do it, its useful for tacking on damage to hard to hit opponents like Tao or maybe Jin, won't work on everyone. Requires 50%-100% Heat, Towards Corner, but not too close. Neutral Throw (or 6C), quick 214B, delay 214D, late 5B, 6A -hjc. jC,jD, JC Airthrow (very late 623D just as they fall below you), 236C, Rapid Cancel, Airthrow, late 623D, 236C, Rapid, Airthrow, late 623D, 236C, 214C. The Inferno Divider, Upper, Rapid, Airthrow can be used midscreen in some situations, and you can airdash after for more options such as another Airthrow. Its risky, but it can work.

  10. I don't know if this is related, but I recently encountered a "Guard Break Cancel". It was bizarre. I was playing Ragna versus an aggressive Rachel who used Pumpkin, but as they fired pumpkin just as/before I was landing from a jump and as I blocked it, my Guard Broke. But for some reason I wasn't stuck in any Guard Break frames, and was still in control. I'm not sure but I think there's something to do with stuff happening close to the ground that affects recovery times.
  11. What's the trick to safely buffering 720 on wakeup without getting poked or "teching" by accident.

  13. Hey you GG2O experts I have a request. Can you help me organize GG2s tracklisting (vol 1) according to how when each theme plays in the story? It won't be perfect but I like continuity to my tracklisting when I sort them, and feel free to tell me where character songs play in volume 2. Thanks!!!

  18. Who said you have to learn everything right away for Guilty Gear or any other fighters for that matter? Every game has learning curves, some may be steep, but never impossible. I'd say learning to beat a shmup like Ikaruga without dying is harder than learning the basics and standards of ANY fighting game, bar-none. Don't single out GG for that. Everything takes time, it all boils down to invested interest to learn.
  19. Screw you guys, I prefer wierd shit fighters like Darkstalkers, Warzard, and Waku-Waku 7, Cyberbots and Gundam Battle Assault. And fighters with swords like Last Blade and Samurai spirits.

I'm learning to jump cancel after a successfully blocked 6D (despite it being unsafe, I've landed these, so I'm not complaining), though I'm not quite sure how safe jump cancelling into air normals is on block. The hardest part is dealing with the huge pushback from barrier and knowing when it's unsafe to do anything afterwards. If there was a way to program a character to block so many strings and try to throw out an attack, I'd know for sure, but, it seems like I need friends to help me learn this stuff.

  23. From what I'm reading, you guys are either not getting any sort of wakeup animation at all and go from ground state to standing without animation, or you buffered an input. Holding down an attack button is the same as 5 instances of having pressed the button from what I recall being said, it'd be the same method you'd use for wakeup-reversal inputs between the time you pushed the button and held it and the time you got up with enough neutral frames to attack. That's what it sounds like to me. Of course if you really aren't getting any wakeup animation, then it is a glitch, otherwise normally you'd use A or B for a quick recovery input normally.
  24. IMO Street Fighter gamers will never understand Guilty Gear or BlazBlue...that's just how it's always been. I came out of Samurai Showdown 3, so understanding it wasn't that big of a jump.
