  1. I tried contacting him all day that day, I even tried to call his mom a few times. Like you're one to talk shorty, how often do you call people?
  2. hahaha, Dacid, I'm saying they should be careful. The same way people look out for DPs and 720, just show it some respect. The japanese aren't perfect, and a recurring--rather dangerous tactic that works on them isn't mad broken.
  3. I can certainly understand that, but it's still nothing like CT's curse system, I think that was a bit of an over-exaggeration. Yes his air grab is a doozy, I'm not debating that at all. What I believe about it is that it's not at all an all-purpose-keep-opponents-out-free-wins maneuver. If the japanese are getting air grabbed by Arakune, why is it Arakune's fault for grabbing them? It's a counter grab too, so isn't it really their fault for rushing in like that, if Arakune is jumping and spamming grab, why not a ground approach? Why not anticipate it, and break it, or punish it with a long range air poke or projectile? I'm just saying people need to learn to respect his air grab and be a bit more cautious and strategical about their approaches, instead of "hurp derp rush dat shit down", instead of wanting to nerf it so they don't have to think about getting in on Arakune by air.
  4. Everyone, please calm down. I'm actually legitimately enjoying this discussion. I believe that is the result of the said recklessness I pointed out. If they were more careful and wary of his grabs, they'd do a better job avoiding it. I can't describe good players getting air grabbed by someone mashing air grab as anything but reckless. Tao, Hakumen and Litchi have high damage combos from an air grab too, Tager, Jin, Lambda (with meter) and Carl all have advantageous and often high damage options from an air grab, a few of these grabs have universal circumstances that do not require them to be close to the ground, it's not an advantage that's exclusive to Arakune. But as his design is awkward and unconventional, his advantages are far different, but equally as rewarding.
  5. Last time we talked was when he brought you over to visit. Since I don't play smash, there isn't much reason for us to stay in contact anymore. I remember attempting to call him on your dad's birthday, but no answer.
  6. Again, it's something that you have to be careful about. Everyone talks about how easy it is to break grabs in BB, time for people to put their money where their mouth is. If Arakune is spamming air grabs, you can easily out-space it with whatever, pace yourself and don't rush in like you'd like to. Best case scenario (assuming you're vs Arakune) you score a CH combo. Auto piloting bell and cloud is a bit rash with the way you put it. Those are great zoning tools that are only safe to execute full screen (most of the time), and when was it wrong to use the best tools available to you? It's like criticizing Ragna autopiloting 5b or Hakumen's jc, and out of respect I won't mention Bang's autopilot options, it's a good tool, why not use it when it's safe to? As for the air grab, it's escapable unless you're caught being reckless. And if anything, some of his 100 curse combos should stay if only for their situational circumstances. Arakune sucks under pressure, the least he can use is something to make his opponent actually have to think and be strategical instead of just running in there and mashing block strings and frame traps--which they already do, effectively.
  7. I thought our shit was on track.... It's not?
  8. I have to disagree. 100% curse combos are a bit radical, but it's not at all that bad of a deal, if anything they should mess with some tech times as to avoid such things for the most part. People just have to be more careful when in the air or in the corner. Otherwise, people would be even more permitted to be reckless and run around the place with no worries of anything other than the occasional cloud in their way. The same way people avoid Spark Bolt, 720, Jayouku, etc. It's not a game breaker and it helps him as a character greatly without completely shifting match ups. And isn't that balanced? FC dive cancel loops are legit, it's fair to say the least that he should have some sort of advantaged combo from a Fatal. Reworking the curse system is really unnecessary, and if it would happen, it would happen for the 3rd installment of the series. It would suck for Arakune players to relearn they character again in the same game.
  9. Being a flash artist, I have but a few pointers, or rather some friendly tips. Well, really just one. Spice up your preloader, add in some extra graphics, all black is cool and all, but---graphics. Everything else is pretty well executed. May need to cut or add a few extra frames for smoothness in animations, but that might mess up the lip sync.
  10. Define "golden". Also, ATG, I would argue that Litchi is a different kind of broken. Maybe it's the superiority in zoning that made the CT cast so frustrating, but Litchi generally has all of what the CT top characters had. She has zoning, great mix ups and guard pressure, long range (and ability to combo from any range given), high damage, OTG lock downs, mobility, and an unbeatable corner game. What she has that the top 3 didn't is a meterless DP reversal, while nerfed, she still flesh out 2k out of a Tsubame. But that's just what I've seen in videos. I haven't touched CS so I can't say from my own experience, but she definitely looks CT broken.
  11. I'd still like to know why he has that position. Obviously, quite a bit of his match up information changed to have him where he is on that list. So............What?
  12. I like the invisible part, it makes it hard to give out visual cues on whether to block high or low. Combine that with a teleport or two, and Arakune's mixup game in curse is substantially better. As for the mix up here, I don't think the D bug would have crossed up if Dennou kept blocking in the same direction. It's a bit of a fuzzy cross up, where it's hard to know which way to block. It could also be the j2c that messed him up. He blocked the jc, but the c bug definitely hit him. Plus he was facing the right when he got hit, chances are the dive messed his blocking up.
  13. I still want the details on why. Not that I have a problem with his position, I'm just thoroughly confused by it.
  14. The simplified version does make things seem......simple, don't they Matt?
  15. I agree with the quirky Mexican.
  16. Looks like it changed significantly. What match up info regarded Arakune to be A tier? From all the info I've been given, it looks like he and Tao should be switching places. Yeah! she has 2c, blocking. Uh....barrier and..... 997 other really neat stuff for her to get out of pressure.
  17. It's a bit radical, but not at all dumb or unbalanced. Truth be told, if you get cursed, the match should belong to him. It should. But non Tager people have many tools to avoid every single bug, not only though movement, but through Counter Assaults, bursts, gold bursts, reversals, etc, those which do apply to Tager also. Sure he can lock you down and hit with either of the two, but it's only a circumstance. His 12ks are situational just like Hakumen's. He needs to hit with a jc or a 2c, the curse gauge has to be near full, meaning the attack has to hit when they're first cursed, if he commits to a 2c and it's blocked, he wastes curse meter due to the insane recovery time, on average he'll score roughly 8-9k, trying. He can go for simpler mixups at the sacrifice of damage of course, which is the often taken route. As easily as he can score a 12k, it's just as easy to avoid it and thus the possibility of eating 12k, because the longer you last, the lower your chances and the lower the damage if he actually hits you. It's a two sided guessing game, and over head or a low. High rewarding (as curse mode should be), but not at all broken.
  18. What's the matter with Arakune's damage? It doesn't need tweaking.
  19. Ain't gonna happen if no one got rides.

  20. lol AGAIN? Is he alright?
  21. He doesn't anymore?

  23. Seon replied to me through Leonil. And I quote, "Fuck that noise".
  24. :v: I see, well then let me legitimately ask what was the point of conceiving the idea in the first place?
  25. Hey, I'm 20, I AM a 90s guy, I can talk about Married With Children, Fresh Prince, Boy Meets World, etc. The drinks part will (legally) have to wait until September in my case though, but I'm in no hurry. Like BO said, congratulations on your wedding. I am certainly jealous. need is a car, an available driver for hire, preferably one who also share our interests. I'm more than eager to get this going before CS, and it will be better since I have offline people to play my Arakune against when practicing CS with my (soon to be) new Arcade stick.
