  1. No problem. I don't think I've seen Hima, but Fumo's all substance no flash playstyle is fun to watch, but yeah, I was a Souji fan at first sight. He knows that teleports are too fun, and he isn't afraid to use them top level.
  2. Challenge! I wanna see any one of you Tagers use 6B in a combo with video proof.
  3. 5B or 6B > 5C > 5D (two hits) > DC > 6A > HjC > jD > jC > j623D > j236C > j214C or (delay) j236C. if you used 6B--> 3894 dmg____if you ended the combo with j236C--> 3877 if you used 5B--> 3315 dmg____if you ended the combo with j236C--> 3300 Note, this combo can be done a bit easier with 50 heat if you RC the 5D.

  5. If "Hima" is kanji, then I can't help you, Hima, under than context can literally be hundreds of variants of kanji. However, hiragana-- ひま And katakana is ---- ヒマ Try those. Also, try the name of the game in your search, ブレイブル (BlazBlue) {bureiburu}.
  6. ソウジ is katakana, but I couldn't remember which alphabet was used. Not all of Souji's teleports were punished heavily, I've watch the first 4 of the vids Matt posted (kudos), in fact quite a few of them were good for getting close, some of them were punished, true, but not all of them. Nu's 2C is really good, I understand that a teleport will get punished with that even if done by guess, but it's really a case of your opponent guessing right, what if it was a legit double jump, at the very least Arakune can barrier. Plus he doesn't have to be in her face, I've seen a teleport used to get a 6D or 2D out of Nu, which gave enough time for a long range combo, which blew my mind. With proper adaptation, your opponent wouldn't be able to properly guess a scenario where they should do a test 2C. I guess it depends on how the player uses it, I'm still experimenting with it, and in my wake of experimentation, I got a bit carried away, I admit, sometimes it's too fun to teleport. In all seriousness, I'm simply experiencing a learning curve, and I'm having fun with the experience.
  7. The idea to use a variant of teleports and legit jumps, I got from one vid of そうじ (or is it ソウジ?) facing Nu, and a lot he did this, and it makes for a well done approach or at the very least a tactic to keep Nu moving. Since watching that video, I've started having much easier times with Nu. I believe that Arakune is one of the characters who are really good at training their opponents, through a variety of methods. I am serious about incorporating teleports into my playstyle, although not entirely necessary at times, can be good for approaching, crossups, baiting and bug buffering--although barrier buffering is good, it's really hard. I'll have to pick my moments. After that, I've been a big Souji fan.
  8. Who the hell's fighting with them, troll? I asked for advice and I'm adding inquiry to understand the advice. Blindly taking advice isn't my thing, I'd like to know why they say "don't do this", and even should I fight with them, if my experience leads me in a different direction, so be it. So why don't you shut up and let me learn.
  9. I'm not taking anything personally. I never said I thought he hated me or disliked me. He was just awfully frank in addressing issues that I already knew to work on. Except the teleport thing, specifically, why shouldn't I teleport, it's been working out for me so far (on and offline, nitpickers) and is a life saver in the Nu match up.
  10. Man you're brutal, you say that as if I'm not trying to grasp things.

  12. Well, online is laggy, sometimes it's seamless, but there are times, where you notice hard. I play online to practice my combos and setups in real time, it's a good experience. Online makes for great offline practice with the right mindset. I know. >.< I'm very, very ashamed of the tick grab. That was blind instinct. Well, I heard that Litchi's corner pressure is in a nutshell one big tech trap, it depends on how you tech and if she can read where you tech to continue the pressure, maybe I guessed right, and by that, my opponent guessed wrong.
  13. I know dive cancels, but forget about it online. The things I practice online, are things that I can capitalize well into offline, dive cancels online--I--I wonder how some people actually do it. I admit I dive a bit too much in this match, but they were mostly combo attempts that screwed up, because I crossed myself up. I'm learning to get some setups in real time going, once I get those, I can learn to capitalize on the other things you mentioned. Thanks for the feedback, but no one's really 'good' online, even I'm a bit better offline, I've fought him a lot, he knows his combos, but--yeah. He fished for the CH JB a bit too much, but maybe that's the scrub in me, I don't know Litchi... But I'm clearly trying to improve. :<
  14. I know all about Litchi's CH JB, I indeed kept an eye out for it, thanks for the feedback.
  15. Editing is fun once you get the hang of it. For example, my latest video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1JkN72R_dw Commentary: Overall view My training as of now, is turtling after point leads and my everlasting quest for hit detect skills. Enjoy. 0:31 I know, I fucked up the recurse, hard, what was going through my head at the moment, I don't know, at least I wasn't punished that hard for it. 1:03 I tried to get a loop in from a dive, by my hit detect skills are still shoddy. The A bug set it all up too, but I thought it was gonna whiff. 1:05 I'm an idiot, I know... 1:21-1:24 Where's MC Hammer when you need him? 1:42 I fucked up that loop setup too, I know, I'm too used to doing j6C, I'm breaking the habit. 1:48 I'm ashamed of myself, but that was raw instinct to do that tick grab, I wanted for a fake out, then my mind went blank. I assure you, I almost never do lag tactics, because I do well to adapt my online play into offline, so I only stick to stuff that only works offline. 2:07 Should I do 5C more in this fight? 2:40 I intended to block that, but online said "no". 2:46 I used the bell to keep him from bum-rushing me while I attempted a cloud, was that a good idea, or would that have bit me in the ass against a better opponent? 3:04 Refer to 2:40 3:16 I'm still practicing this setup, but noobish muscle memory overtook mindset, so I screwed it up. 4:10 Don't you love when they mash mindlessly? I do.
  16. *disturbed* A toast to new Tager.
  17. You read all of my posts? Stalker.
  18. The internet is fun too. Everyone knows everything but you.
  19. Dustloop is fun.
  20. I'm not top level, but I know my character. The dilemma here is that top level Arakune's do not "pure zone".
  21. Because the discussion wasn't intended to be this heated. I'll just say this, then I'm out of the discussion. Arakune can never beat a good Tager with pure zoning, saying his zoning is as bad as Nu's is really uninformed, amongst other words I could use. Nu can spam her BnB, then stop and do a gravity field, repeat, also, at the start of the match, she has the option to do that. Arakune has to curse you. And--you seem to be constantly missing this--Arakune has frame lag in 3 of his 4 bugs, he cannot spam them, there will be holes where you can approach. Hell, jump--keep and eye for that A bug, and Barrier it accordingly, it can't lock you down, it'll hinder you only a little. Pure zoning will not work on anyone. It'll fuck with them, hard, and it's in no way easy to get by it, but it's possible. Just like Nu's pure zoning isn't a solid fortress, but it's sure as hell is a formidable one. It's just harder for Tager. Impossible? No, the better Tagers shouldn't have too big of an issue with this.
  22. They aren't speculation. Stop Sledging a D Bug, that's free meter, IB that shit. And the frame lag can allow Tager for an approach. Zoning is keeping solid control of the position of your opponent. You have it confused with "lock-downs" keeping them in one place. Arakune does have a decent zoning game, I'm not knocking that, his lockdown game is certainly stronger though. However, Arakune technically cannot spam bugs (except for the A bug), the B, C, and D bug respectively have more brief time periods where you cannot use the bug, which is what I call "frame lag". That's Tager's chance. Counter combos, that's not zoning, that's aggression and punishment. However that revealed that you have not quite understood my point. Arakune cannot win vs (a good) Tager with pure zoning. He has to get physical, a lot--well, logically, just twice, 3 times tops. ^^;
