No...I mean he can't zone a Tager. Barrier A and B bug, which are the only air unblockables, C bug isn't an issue unless it's counter hit, and D bug is luck. Arakune can't get a lucky cloud and bug spam. If you notice, a lot of the best Arakunes are always doing a combo. "Combo" is an awfully downplayed word when Arakune is involved, considering that the "initial curse combo" is a nice 4-6k off the back including a healthy combination of physical attacks and bugs--not just bugs. Because of the frame lag of the B, C and D bug, Arakune cannot properly spam against anyone, they end up wasting curse meter doing very small chip damage, and afterwards, Tager can literally Sledge Car in and deal damage or -- Spark Bolt. Must I really validate my point? Arakune cannot zone a good Tager. The primary advantage is the primary advantage he has in just about all of his match ups, high ass damage, lockdowns and (to a lesser extent in this match up) turtling. Zoning, he cannot do, zoning from what I've observed relies solely on the A bug, which can be spammed.

Arakune can't zone a good Tager, he'll have to get in and do some physics on that sweet ass.

Oh, yeah WMM doesn't do mp4, if you can, try anything else, I know it responds to avis, I used to use it until I got pinnacle studio.
-
I constantly reiterate how much I hate fighting my own character to people who also hate fighting him.
-
Really? :3 But seriously, get good enough at tourneys, should your opinion remain unwavered in the wake of your experience, you can get some credible word of mouth. But then you'll have to keep proving it, with a growing community, some things may change because of a new loop, combo, tech trap, etc.
-
Sorry, but I detest Arakune dittos to the highest degree. Seriously my personal worst match up. But I've manned up recently since a tourney where I lost to an Arakune.... If I see you again, there is a 50/50 chance I'll accept the fight, better than 100% that I won't. Windows Movie Maker....
-
Well, quite frankly, no one will agree with you since you aren't a top player, and top players have the most viable opinion. Which is why I said we need to get you in tourneys so you can whoop ass enough to become notable offline--then have an opinion. Or you can hope for a top player (preferably a Tager main) to agree with you.
-
Nothing will change without several top players' inputs.. But dead horses are fun to beat.
-
Have you ever took the time to consider a turtling strategy, it might work. Get a point lead, then leave the rest to time.

Rachel did get it bad. Like really bad..... Noel got some things going for her, similar to Arakune, raped the old playstyle, made a new one. Being an Arakune player, it hurts to see a lot of his staples, nerfed to uselessness. I knew everyone hated dive, but now it's unusable--even in combos. 2B is useless, and although our precurse pressure is still piss-weak, we now get benefits even on block, we have a precurse corner loop, cloud buff and new bugs and drive altogether, we'll manage, our biggest issue is damage, our new meterless damage made us the Bang of CS. But again, we'll manage. Noel got a similar treatment, but since I don't play her, I can't go into as much detail. Rachels won't need to "manage" they'll need to "improvise".
-
Just asking, do you all think there was any way to nerf Rachel without destroying her playstyle? Excluding Damage and HP?
-
But yeah, the match up is not unfair biased to Noel. 6:4 is pretty, uhh.. slight, and like even matches, skill is the biggest determining factor of victory. I know I just made myself look stupid by saying that, for obvious reasons, but if you look at a match up that's like 7:3 the favorable character isn't going to take as much skill to win as the unfavorable, so the skill importance is pretty one sided. In match ups like these (5:5, 6:4) it's more or less mutual.
-
Tager's J2C is pretty even on block, IBed however....
-
"Wait"'s a fun word. In order to wait for something, you'd have to expect it. So what happens when something unexpected occurs? Certainly food for thought, ね?
-
Me too, I need a Noel player to vent on, I swear there isn't a heterosexual man alive who hates Noel as much as I do, bitch made me break my mic.

It seems the number 2 Arakune shares the same issues I have. He made some great comebacks though, as for you, I don't know, it's hard to comment on mirror matches. I'll watch your other one later.

My best friend mains Tager, I know what he can do, and you are far better off staying in his face when the Spark Bolt gauge is full, staying a range trying to zone, isn't much safer, if you have holes in your strings, you should know of them and back off accordingly, not persist applying faulty pressure. Spark Bolt > 720 is a tech trap, not a combo, you can escape that easy, back dash 720 is a different story and it's very easy to get by if you're careful, which you should be fighting Tager up close. Magna Tech Wheel is a far greater threat, it actually combos from Spark Bolt, and can be just as good as a reversal--if not better than a 720. Voltic Charge does hold some weak points but it's not as heavy as Sledge, unlike Sledge, Tager can stop the charge when he sees the slightest evidence of you charging in, plus he can buffer a 720 during, so if you're not careful, he'll get you either way, and it's duration is invincible from everything but low physical attacks. I've seen Tagers bait an approach with Voltic Charge, quite because he can end it and turn your plan on itself whenever he pleases. It's still unsafe, but nowhere near as unsafe as Sledge. Plus he can just Voltic Charge everytime you throw a labila at him, it'll hit him ~no damage~ release, he gets more meter and gets by your weakest form of zoning. You'll have to rush him down, if you know your string and the risk that they carry, you'll still have the advantage over a Tager whose mashing back dash hoping for a hole, just don't be stupid.
-
But what smart person would do that full screen while the SparkBolt gauge is full? On that note, if they trying to zone full screen, would Voltic Charge east basically most of her crap and then give him more meter to work with. If the Rachel is too dumb to be in his face and give him no chance at anything, this tactic sounds like it'll work wonders.
-
Shoot me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Rachel only summon frog when she's Frog comboing, and not full screen at the ironic moment Tager's Spark Ball gauge is full? It's a given for anyone to keep an eye on that gauge so any smart player won't do something so stupid as to frog full screen when his gauge is full. If she absolutely had to, then she's do it air borne. This way she can block on the way down or at least Silpheed herself up, and the Frog would be closer to Tager than if she just did it on the ground. I could be wrong, I don't play her after all.

Check.

Well, there's the super and roll tech cancel into teleport fake out.

Arakune relies on projectiles and aerial to get in, his pressure game is trash precurse, and Carl can easily prevent such effort easily, for one, Nirvana eats clouds when active, Carl (Nirvana included) has like 3 antiairs or attacks that hit very high, 2 of them are fast and one is loop tiem! Arakune's basic attacks have huge holes in them, some aren't worth using should you be taking the character seriously. Jin has a plethora of great basic attacks and options for every situation--unlike Arakune, who's options precurse are but an illusion. Jin has excellent cross ups and high priority attacks up and down and far better mixups than what Arakune has. The thing is, once Arakune gets curse in, it's gonna be an asswhoop'n. Hard. Jin on the other hand can just commence the asswhoop'n without requiring any sort of prerequisite. Thanks for the info, I seriously need Bang practice, I think he requires more patience to fight than IB master playing Tager.
-
Well, I imagine Carl would have an advantage, if he runs even with Arakune, then that's food for thought on how Bang can manage.

Like, how are some matches against his favor, not the whole synopsis, but brief disadvantages he has against *this character* or *that character*.
