Akihiko requires good neutral to make situations like these work. The best I can tell you is to watch videos and see what they do. Oftentimes you need to be patient and let them come to you, or lure them into a false sense of security and catch them in an unexpected situation.

What's your combo? The proration does factor in how many reps you can pull off.

Only under extremely specific scenarios and two is the practical number of reps. You sure it's post-patch?

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Skye replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
That new frc sounds pretty interesting. -
True, but in that case why not do something like 5a > 1d, since the game will register it as 2d, similar to 4d registering as 5d, it'll only make things easier.

Having looked at the gatling table, I think I understand how and why players have been using 5a (or 4a) I'm there curse set ups instead of 3a. If you take a look at it, you'll notice that 5a does not gatling into 5c, 2c, or 2d, this is what we would be buffering. Naturally we don't know how effective/hard it's going to be until console, but I'm sure these are the buffering options from 5a. I think 5c would be used for the low, and 2c~d would be for the overhead with a small variation (2c~4d) for the cross up overhead. I recall Hiyoko doing something with just the overhead + c bug then confirmed it into stuff without any additional buffering, that's something to look into as well. It may also be necessary since it would be a waste to use all that curse meter summoning both c and d bugs (17000) for a failed mix up. Thoughts?

The objective benefit of owning a stick over a controller is that sticks (the ones with getting) are far more durable. Not to say they're indestructible, but a stick can last easy through several controllers. I suppose it depends on how you treat them, because while I have friends who have needed to buy a new stick or fix a pre-existing one, I've owned the same stick since since 2010 and still going.

No one has talked about it yet so idk.

I really doubt the heat steal is gonna be that effective that it'll scare people into wasting it. There are a lot of factors that can still determine how good Terumi really is, his starter values, damage output, etc. His lack of conventional mix up is definitely necessary, making it so he has to rely more on TRM/throw baits/cross ups. Stealing heat on block is dumb though.

I had a hard time taking any of that at face value when I read "Mayor Kisaragi".
-
I tend to subconsciously pick try hard characters. When you win with them, it's feels great, and it always feels like you've earned it, even if it's a straight robbery.
-
What we need is for someone to YT them, my schedule causes me to miss out on some all of these streams and I'd like to take a look at them. Especially the Shimo footage.
-
I like a great deal of the alt colors. It's a good thing I don't have find a new one though since my color made it to CP anyway.
-
SoBa pls play the character first before in depth qq.
-
Shimo can follow up, but it's extremely tight, feels close to a 1 frame link.

That's no excuse. Why does it have to be complaining? No one can talk about the obvious and personal benefits of being able to pay offline while waiting for a match? Or the many ways to implement teaching execution, showing examples and annotations in the online replay theater, the ability to essentially hold an online class on almost anything you would teach someone in BB, from simple controls to in depth match ups to high level combos; the ability and choice to teach by demonstration or example? None of that is even worth starting a conversation on? It has to be complaining.
-
You guys, pls. We get offline matches while waiting for online matches, online training mode, online replay theatre, all man melee, room chat, on addition to the already announced 8 man player rooms PLUS 64 man lobby mode. And you guys are zeroing in on the freaking BOX ART?

Please don't ask. I think that it was more of a quip on him appealing to the better nature of the beginner/mash archetype. Casual players tend to favor the flash and spectacle of fgs over most things, having a lot of distortion drives definitely helps that appeal. The "female" part of it I think was a bit of misguided generalizing.

It has come to my attention that despite your warm efforts to unite a GG scene in your region, there already exists a Southern California social thread on the second page of this sub forum. That only means that this thread in its existence (not necessarily it's contents) should not be, a mod/admin will be here shortly to deal with it, but you can go to said pre-existing thread and make the exact same post. Best of luck in your endeavors.

Having finally played it, I've taken a liking to Shimo. I really just freestyled until I found combos, now watching videos I feel good knowing that I wasn't too far off the mark. Really the only thing I missed was j.lk and j.hk being special cancellable into Makoenki (j.214p). Even found out most of the tech that didn't involve what I just mentioned, including the cross up/fake cross up, command dash cancel throw/throw bait. I'll doa bit more practice, then try my hand at fighting people. I'll need to make note of these combos for later. I was able to figure out most of it, but with this new knowledge, I can practice these too; xx > 5lk > 5hp > 236lp+hp~lk, 236lp~lp That's the part I trial and error'd my way into knowing and I usually ended the combo with either another 236lp~lp or 236236p, but now having seen the videos I know to adjust it to; sj.hk > j.214lp, 2hp > 236lp/hp - run oki

Sounds cool, I'm in.

The consensus is, and I agree with it, that every netcode after CT was pretty bad. Personally, I think CSE and Persona has acceptable netcode, but you'll notice the phrase not being implied is "good netcode". That said, it could be much better.

The punchline is that if you'd hadn't asked that people not laugh at it, no one probably would have. We give ourselves funnier names than that.
