  3. But that's beside the point. I'm pretty sure drill poke is stopped when carl blocks a hit/techs a throw. There's no guessing game if they can't do it. After that the only thing left to see is if there's a clap or not.
  4. Okay you said they bait a j.D with drill arm right? Thing is you can tell if there's a clap or if nirvana is prepping a drill arm as you tech, can't you? Not to mention you can hear him say con fuoco. And wait a minute clap and 623d are the only moves that still go on after carl's hit isn't it? (techs a throw) how would they bait it with drill arm? and if this is what you mean I was right the entire time! >:[

  7. depends on range. from full screen yeah, if she didn't follow-up maybe? if yur close and you block it they'll probably just act pulsar backwards/forward or just IAD backwards though. Nu probably wouldn't take the risk of a j.C counterhit.
  8. huh? if you tech immediately they either inputed the clap or they didn't. You j.D if they did, run away if you didn't. If you mean they did drill arm special instead of clap than yeah, you should probably block. Heck you could just air dash forward and even if you do get hit by it, you'd just get knocked down, he'd get a j.B maybe, but he can't follow off of it because of its recovery. You could j.D it too, but... meh. and i love killing neesan with 6c-shippu. It makes baiting gear's much easier and when you bait a gear, you can barrier block (or normal) till you're not blocking, take a step or two back (I usually do, dunno if it's required) and just shippu. You'll trade hits but he'll be receiving 4k and you'll get maybe 100. You can charge it a little if you want, but i'd be careful because he recovers before it disappears. Might mis-predict it.

  15. Okay... just wanna call out all our Hotaru champions in here. This is it. I'm making the leap. I'm going to START USING HOTARU. I was sparring with 100 difficulty Hakumen mirror (don't ask me why I was bored) and holy crap he's quite the Hotaru warrior. So I started using it like he did, and I beat him a lot! My only irk is that the horizontal range is meh, but I'll get used to it eventually. So I'm just curious on 1. combo from TK normal hit 2. combo from TK CH 3. combo from in air (decent height, maybe a little higher than IAD height) normal hit 4. same thing but with CH 5. if you guys do it off of hops a lot (on an analog stick it's a touch difficult, wonder if doing TK is bad in comparison) 6.specific uses in match-ups and general reminders about it. I WANNA MAKE THA LEAP! >:[
  16. no. when you RC and you've activated his trap, i see the rapid cancel animation go, and I see meter go down, but they can't do anything, they're frozen. and even if they could yukikaze is so slow and exists in the whiff plane (like punching super will go fast as if not blocking/hitting anything) and hakumen will just super through it you might get like 1 hit if it's perfectly timed and SOMEHOW didn't cross-up... (and that's after you get hit)
