If you are simply trying to be safe as you can I would say 5c range is your best bet. From this range you can do 5c 2c 2a and attempt to work you way in from there. If you can get into 2b range safely you can go for 2b 214a~a CS and have your self right up close. I only mention this because with e amount of projectiles you will be blocking in this match and the fact that you can use shield quite a bit safely I found myself in vorpal a lot more often than not. Of course outside of vorpal you could always go for the 2b 5c 2c 2a route but I feel landing at the range would leave you in a prime spot for a quick DP. It's definitely something that would need more testing and looking into.

This is going to be given from strictly netplaynet play perspective since thats all i have to go off of so feel free to take it with a grain of salt or completely ddisregard. I played somewhere between 15 - 30 matches against vatista yesterday and these are just my thoughts on the matchup. The match is played very slowly, with out access to a gaurd break in this game moving forward and quickly stop to block seems a lot more difficult. I found using shield while blocking projectiles to be very advantageous for building GRD expecially against her EX Laser. J236B goes under her standing orb, the one that comes out lower to the ground will still cancel it out, while its not the most ggame breaking thing it can make her block which gives you a small window to close the gap. One thing to keep in mind with j236b is that it pushes you backwards after release, this can cause you to fall back onto an orb and then cancel out the fireball all together. If you get a good read and jump over her laser b+c float can help close some distance and is also easy to cancel into guard if she starts another projectile guarding does usually make you float back a lil bit but you should have made up a lil extra distance using it. As always trying to completely close the distance from the air is dangerous because of her DP Keeping her back to a corner is super important, this makes confirming random hits into 236x 6c somewhat dangerous. Switching sides and letting her out of or further away from the corner will make you resume the chase. This next bit is probably just a personal preference but j236x oki seems absolutely neccesary no matter where you are on the screen. The only time i went for a damage ender was when it would kill. At midscreen tkj236a oki is good for when bacckdash while tkj236b is for neutral tech. Once you are in you run the normal nanase gameplan while taking into account your opponents use of their DP, any version can be punished but the EX version will switch sides for her so you need to adjust and keep her as close to the corner as you can. I apologize for the wall of text and any errors that may be in it. Im posting this from my phone and its giving me a lot of trouble. When I can get to a computer I'll try and come back and fix it up a bit so its not so painful to read.

Hello and welcome to Dustloop. If Azreal is your main choice for who you wanna start learning then I would highly suggest checking out the Azreal subforum Im sure there is a wealth of information to be gained from there. With that said there is a wealth of information on any character in their respective subforums. If you`re look for more general things to learn the Wiki has alot of useful information about the Blazblue System and how it work. Again Welcome to the community and hopefully we will be seeing you around! Good Luck!

I've been thinking about picking up Ultra as well, i know that i wont like it in the end though. Its alot like P4U for me, I love watching high level play but neither game holds my interest long enough for me to get there. In terms of hatemail though Dragon ball Z:Raging Blast produced more hate mail for me than all other games combined. That commjunity was toxic as fuck, rage quitters, dodgers, people spamming the same 1 skill over an over (although thats more than likely just not knowing how to play lol). I made it up to the Top 10 on XBL in ranked as Goten, some of the most fun I've ever had.

Omar my cigar smoking brother from another canadian mother. Its like the old gang is all getting back together again =D

I won't lie, as of this moment casuals are not on the table for me. If that changes though your location seems to be in a perfectly fine play for me to swoop you up. You can talk to Skye/Axis they should be able to vouche for me since I used to pick them up when I was making it out there.
-
Double post since my phone is being ghey. Myoro where are you in Michigan, if I ever make it out there for casuals again maybe I can pick you up.

Toasty I've been on a pretty big Lull myself, I imported CP but never found a character iI really like until recently I only have like 400 - 500 matches played total which should speak for itself. In regards to Xrd I will be getting it but it will be on PS3 since I don't own a PS4. The good news there is that it will be cross compatible so we can still play ^.^ II'm really hoping for Johnny to be the new console character cause so far idk who I'm gonna main when it drops lol.
-
Well we need to play sometime then, odds are your gonna blow me up and get plenty of Grendy bursts but honestly its been a bit to long since that last happened.

Any of you guys still net play? Sadly casuals are still a no go for me but I finally think I.found character i like in CP so its time to start playing again.

so i just wanted to say thank you to every who's posting here, the combo thread, and the match up threads. I just picked up Relius about a week and a half to 2 weeks ago and he is way to much fun. Also for me personally the match vid of Ryo vs. Azreal ft10 in CP1.1 was an amazing video to watch and learn a bunch of combo timing and different mixups/pressure. If any one wants to learn Relius i highly suggest watching that video. Keep throwing up the great posts guys I just keep absorbing information and slowly but surely getting better and better.

Hey guys, I've been playing alot of +R these last 2 weeks and I've been practicing alot of Johnny in that time. with all the matches I've been playing Im getting very consistent with my FRCs, MCing, and even gotten about 60% consistency on landing MSJH off of random hits. The next thing I want to learn is how to land Enkasu, a guy i work with plays Slayer so I would like to start with him but honestly being able to do it against anyone at this time would be amazing. I tried using the AC Enkasu thread to learn it but i couldnt make it work, later last night I was told that Enkasu has become more 'universal' instead of being changed up for most of the cast. Anyway I looked up some video's of A3Religions Johnny and found one of him landing throw jKSDE(1) in the corner against Venom. It looked simple enough so I tried it in the lab for about 30 minutes and couldnt get it done. There are a 2 things I've started noticing that i think could be my issue. 1. sometimes after the throw the timing that my first attack comes out is faster than other times, both ways can still combo just fine. Do i need my first attack to come out at the earliest time when going for Enkasu? If so is there a way to practice making sure the attack comes out at the earliest time? 2. It looks like there is a delay between jD and Ensenga, how short is this delay? When i try to delay I just dont get ensenga at all about 60% of the time. any help on this would be great, sorry for the small rant before actually getting to the point of the post.

Random obligatory hello. hello.

GGs to everyone I've run into over the past week or so,for some reason I've been seeing a lot of people play +R and even having good connections with 1 bars. If some one could send me an invite for the PSN chat or the skype group that would be awesome. PSN is Grendylicius

like everyone else has said watching videos and analyzing them (yours and others) can help alot. For your combos a thing i do expecially when a new version of the game drops is spend ALOT of time in training mode. The first couple days try and do 5 consistent reps of a combo before moving onto another combo then do 5 reps of that combo, if you mess up once on whatever combo your working on restart the count. its annoying but it will help with muscle memory. When you get into CP come in pretty much accepting the fact that you are gonna suck. combo routes change, timing changes, everything changes, for me a good thing to do is mess with 2 characters that way your dont get to fed up with your first choice and muscle memory from the last game doesnt completely override what your doing in this one.
-
hey guys I looked through the thread and the combo list on the front page but couldnt find this so I figured I'll leave it here and let you guys do what you will with it. CH5c(2)-236a-'falling' j2b-j236a-jb(3)-6a-jb(3)-jb(3)-j236c DMG:3148/HG:22 sorry for shitty notation formatting im using my phone and its not letting me use the correct symbols -.- also if you are close to your opponent you can wait until your first 236a crosses up the opponent and then get the low j2b just have to switch up your input for the j236a.

Q&A about Joystick Building, Parts, and Purchasing
Grendy replied to mr.mortified's topic in Hardware
Hey guys I have a stick that has a problem with the nuts eventually slipping of the bolts which results in my joystick coming loose and lots of input errors. Is there some sort of glue or something I can use on the nuts to stop them from slipping off? I had this problem before I had to replace the joystick at one point and put all new nuts and bolts in so they are the right size I'm kind of at a loss for why this keeps happening. -
maybe once AC+R hits psn I'll get back to Johnny, been considering trying out other characters as well. my list of people to try includes anji, axl, venom, a.b.a, and robo-ky (again) lol.

finally ran into a couple of the MI guys on CP netplay today. as expected im pretty terrible lol Idk if im gonna be able to stick it out with Izayoi or if i should give Tsubaki/Amane a go now.

O'll prolly be setting up late night rooms until CP launches at which point i will hopefully get CP and start setting up rooms for that. CP rooms will prolly be a couple days after release though, new characters look pretty cool im gonna have to mess around with them in the lab before i jump online.
-
D-silver-bullet thats the one! it started out as a first to 10 but we just kept going lol. was a nice change since i had a FT10 room set up for a while and people kept leaving after 2 or 3 matches -.- Its prolly just that I dont run into them but i really feel like XBL had a muchbetter player base. could also be the fact that I played CT - CSE on xbl so people knew who i was.

do i need to buy a jpn psn card to download it or can i just throw money down from my card? also the person i played said he played with the scene sometime. maybe he does, maybe he doesnt, maybe i got his name wrong lol. He played Ragna and we went a nice long 50 games that ended 33 - 17 in Tsubakis favor, it was fun but reminded me that i sorely need to fix my stick cause pad is garbage skye i would love to come to MI but working 2 jobs isnt going to allow that very often...if at all.

Yo MI is it safe to assume some of you are importing BBCP? I havent got mine yet but i think i'll be picking it up monday when i get paid. PS I played a long set with one of the guys from the scene, think it was silver blade or something like that. you guys just keep getting more and more new people huh.
