Saw a video of loketest Bang gameplay. Feels good to still be high tier these nerfs are blown way out of proportion based on what hes still capable of. And yeah I labeled him still high tier before I remembered that we got 2D jc back. Yeahhhhhh.... I'll just say thanks aksys on that one Also 2A 5B working mid combo but not at the start of a combo defies all laws of the BB combo system. Maybe the person who listed that nerf was a scrub who only tried it once and messed up? -
IB makes this match retarded for Mu. To add insult to injury I find this the easiest matchup to IB in. If you IB 6C you get a free d.5B unless they special cancel to hcfC which if you IB you also get a free d.5B tbh I don't know if she has any normals besides her A attacks that cant be IB 5Bd if she doesnt gatling to something else, and all her gatling strings seems to end on 6C hcfC. Also IBing her j.2C gives you a free 5B and people seem to like using it for an overhead (seriously why do people do this) Another important thing is she can't get lockdown with steins until she has at least two out and even then they won't accomplish anything devestating until she shoots her massive laser which has horrendous startup. If you are full screen from Mu and shes just throwing out her first stein throwing nails almost guarantees you an approach (and unless they jump you're almost guaranteed pressure. That's all I got for now this thread needed something. The matchup is probably 6-4 Bang Oh, and 2D is actually pretty solid in this matchup compared to others because her recovery on everything is so bad (watch out for 2B though)

Holy SHIT instant j623B recovery ftw! 6C j623B cross under 5B in the corner?? In CS the fastest thing you can do is 6C j623B and then cross under their neutral tech with 2A (which i do quite often actually). Thats a BIG difference. It could be not the recovery that was changed but the floatiness on the opponents wallbounce, I wasn't paying attention. Either way that is absolutely sick, I love it. The combo was 5B 2B 6C j.623B dash under 5B 623B air combo finish and the damage was very very nice. Also Bang doesn't even look remotely slower in this vid. He honestly still looks high tier, however now his game relies entirely around getting the opponent in the corner (which will actually be EASIER now thanks to no wallbounce ) and then getting big damage corner combos that leave corner oki. And to just make matters even better I saw 2A 5B redbeat in the first vid. Were we trolled or is this just a REALLY late posting of a vid from the 1st loketest (the title suggests so but I dunno why they'd post this after the 2nd loketest has already happened) So in short this video has made me fucking happy. Get hype for round two of high tier Banging guys :D

well if 623B doesnt cause wallbounce so you cant combo off of it whats the point of having less proration? You'd have to go for the oki or perhaps Bang now has amazingly retarded corner combos lol. Either way, thumbs up for a BB character thats easier to play than Ryu in Street Fighter. Nice fucking work aksys, achievement unlocked.

I've been hit by 236A 2A when i tried to IB 5A. Might have low profiled but that would just make it pointless to try to punish that move. I'm willing to admit that I messed up though.

This character is ridiculously good. I'd put the matchup at 6-4 Valk's favor no joke. I was fighting LostSoul so there may be some bias there but wtf was aksys thinking when they made this character. So yeah oh look a character besides litchi where its pointless to space with 5B cause you'll just get CH for unheard of damage. At least with Litchi if you are really tricky you can punish j.C spamming with a well placed 5B but Valk's j.C is safe (i think?). 5B is really high risk high reward in this matchup unfortunately. So yeah ground to air is in valks favor here (also don't try to AA him with 5A it will almost never beat any of his aerials). Air to air in this matchup feels like Tao vs Bang. At any time he can do a wolf dash and fly out of harms way, or right into range to hit you with his j.C which has AMAZING priority. Luckily he cant pick it up into anything but super but youll be in oki just like Bang's j.C and that sucks against Valk. And finally air to ground against Valk. Bottom line don't do it. CH AA 2C is Ragna 6A tier and leads to 4.8K. Best AA in the game. In terms of pressure Valk is thankfully not above Bang but its so damn close it doesnt even matter. 6C is hands down the best overhead in the game and if you get hit by it in the corner say goodbye to half your life. If you block it, big deal cause he can then 5C 236A for free pressure reset (IB?) or cancel into wolf dash for a ridiculously fast second overhead straight into low pressure when he lands. This can be 5Ad I believe but it isn't easy to react to. Also the uppercut overhead is extremely fast and leads to huge damage. You have to block it on reaction anyway because the sweep is equally fast and leads to just as much. Now I know this post is extremely negative but I do have some positive points. Valk has no reversal so you can go crazy on your oki. Be careful with 5A pressure though because he can low profile with 2B or if you whiff a 5A he can punish with 2A (yup even his 2A is a ridiculous poke) I can't think of anything else but most importantly is that he has no answers to your pressure so you need to gain momentum and KEEP IT. Someone who has the time to check what can be IB 5Ad in this matchup would also be really helpful cause right now his pressure is just as crippling as ours and his neutral game is better. Hope this posts helps. Fight LostSoul526 if you want to die repeatedly to a Valkenhayn edit: nvm litchi 6A is the best overhead. edit2: IB backdash might be actually useful in this matchup. needs further testing

ahahaha I almost wanna just assume 2A 5B not comboing for Bang was an accident. Whenever they catch that it'll be like "oh oops we made it a bit too slow lol sorry guys". Loketest 2 Bang for worse than CT Tager tier. Get hype. Get fucking hype for 2A RC 5B combos. -

Wow I can understand complaining about something thats an obvious change but whats this about getting all up in arms about an ambiguous statement? How is "3C knocks enemy into air" == "3C 236D~C does not combo"?? Like seriously when I read that my first thought was "pointless change it just makes the combo look different" Complain if you see a video of it not comboing. -

Noel was nerfed?! The buffs look way more deadly then the nerfs imo. Might even be enough that I could main her now. Also is Platinum anything like Faust cause it kinda sounds like it with the random item thing. -

Troll post? 623B combo doesn't change it works on non CH and does 4K. 3C only combos into 2A on non CH if you hit with the tip now and that combo will do 3.2K. Fatal combo does 3.8K if near corner 4K for midscreen. 2nd part of your post is true
