It won't lose to A mash if you buffer the startup of j623B during their blockstun. Tested and proven.
-
Notable that because of Arakune air hotbox generally one more j4C is allowed on him than on any other character in the loop. Also as I was trying this our in training I found out that daifunka->ashura does NOT work on Arakune for some reason. Just a warning lol
-
Oh lol I read your post wrong I thought you meant 2D and the 7 j.D like you could do in CT. my bad haha I didn't know you could do that Sorry for the double post I don't know how to copy paste on my iPhone. edit: bam breakthrough Air blockstring (ex. jA jB j4C) tick j623B RC d.5C 6A 623B d.6C jD 2B 6C j4C j623B 4213 damage!! Reset position if j623B is blocked, works on non fatal counter, true oki if ended near corner and ridiculous damage. This rules. I actually couldn't even find a more damaging FC version XD
-
Well I just moved into a new house and won't have have Internet for who knows how long . I guess I'll be practicing offline for a while now... Also off a corner j4C I managed 8.2K off the j4C loop. You can always end in 2Dash 6A 623B turn around daifunka ashura (not on Tager?). I'm very inconsistent on the loop outside the corner though.
-
That's mine ;_;. or rather a less flashy version:v:
-
sho my 3C combo does 400 more than the one listed both giving oki. I got 4k for no oki but I don't remember how ... Edit: oh lol replace the 6C jC with jB j4C jB jC for 4002. It worked on Jin but damn this looks gimmicky I'd just go for oki on this one XD
-
Time to contribute 3c fc midscreen max damage and oki: 3C 2B 6C j4C j623B v 5B 623B d.6C jD 2B 6C jC Probably doesn't work on everyone but works on most. 3826 damage o-o

makoto vs hazama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A4VyJUAdzU

Pretty sure that only works if the opponent techs, and who fucking mashes tech during an arakune super? But really that combo video was beautiful. edit: actually someone prove me wrong cause the hakumen yukikazed instantly making me think its a forced "tech" that puts them in a standing state. that would be weird as fuck though
-
Currently I only have one opponent in CS and he's a mediocre hazama so I just do shit. I wouldn't combo into super on a normal basis either, though sometimes I just do it for the corner oki. Oh, the mindgames to be had . My point is half the time when I'm like "hey i wanna burn meter on a super cause I'm badass like that" I go for Ashura instead of daifunka cause its flashier. It's a bad habit and I need to stop it. Also I can't deny it's the novelty as well. Just like I love spamming j.4C. @gamehead uhhhhh Since when is the usefulness of a combo determined by how many hits it has, especially in Bang's case when almost ALL his combos are in that range. Also redbeat is the opposite of black/bluebeat meaning the combo was untechable. If someone seriously sat through an entire air combo after daifunka in CT they were either AFK or EXTREMELY stupid and I wouldn't be proud of a match against someone if either was the case. Sorry for being blunt :\
-
Speaking of Ashura, I need to get out of the nasty habit of ending combos with it just cause it looks cool. Instead of doing 5A ... 6A 623B daifunka, I'll do 5A ... triple crash -> d.2B Ashura. So many hits of manliness... so little damage ;_;

Which would be unbelievably stupid considering you'd be canceling maybe one frame of recovery. Mind games.

[CT] Bang Shishigami Combination Arts FRKZ MERGED
rei-Scarred replied to AtTheGates's topic in Archive
Yes really. I was 99% sure, but just to be 100% sure I turned on CT to test it. The only way you can get 2 [2B 623B] in one combo is if there is only one move before hand and the 2B quickly follows the OTG (aka j.D and 6B RC work but 6D and 2C CHs dont) I found it interesting though that 6D RC can triple crash but 2C RC can not, maybe there is a flaw in my formula? Also d.623B is always legit off a high wallbounce so the ending is fine there. In fact you can use that to get a free FRKZ activation and then oki. -
[CT] Bang Shishigami Combination Arts FRKZ MERGED
rei-Scarred replied to AtTheGates's topic in Archive
If that started with 2D it would have blackbeated after the second 2b. If it started with j.D it would've blackbeated after the third 2B. I don't know what game you've been playing man. Assuming it was a typo and you only meant to have 2 [2B 623B] this would still only work with the 2D omitted and if you did that you can just end it with d.6C 623B the nails are a complete waste and wouldnt combo anyway. The only way to triple crash off 2D iirc (opponent must be grounded) is 2D 9623B d.2B 623B d.6C 623B The standard triple crash is j.D CH 2B 623B d.2B 623B d.6C 623B -
Thisx100 these better not exist to the extent they are at after the balance patch... I feel dirty everytime I do one, easily Bang's best use of 50 meter And to those that don't play Bang, he gains over 50 meter in 2 5As. If he opts not to end that second combo with daifunka (i usually dont) and lands a command throw in his next mixup (either one) unless you are Tager you are probably going to die if you dont burst. 2 5A combos = almost 6.5K + a little over 5K = 11.5K. Only Tager and Hakumen survive methinks. I started reading that as "genesic tager... wait... "

Some arakune ended Galileo's 20 win streak at acho http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DLukt6Tonw And then he won some more (this guy is pretty sick from a non arakune player's perspective) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3wpzMfw58Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHSaRplfkRk also my first time seeing mountain dew arakune in CS

Galileo was trolling super hard at acho this time. Halfway through a match with noel he just started using nothing but 3C and still won. I want to see Galileo fight more skilled opponents :\.

[CT] Bang Shishigami Combination Arts FRKZ MERGED

Since you bring up creative throw combos, I might as well bring up what I found. In the corner on some characters I found you can do. Throw [after kick] Cnail d.6C JC j.D 2B 6C j.B j.C. It works for example on Litchi. Also in the corner you can whiff an Anail after the kick to do 5A, whatever for respectable meterless damage off of a throw. You should watch my newest montage there's some cool -

This is my favorite thread on dustloop currently. Make more :D -
So late, but I found out today that 623B as an opening move trades and CHs Tagers that open with 5A, and 5As hitstun is actually shorter than 623Bs recovery allowing d.6C j.D 6A 623B d.6C 623B even at that distance. As far as I know there is nothing Tager can do as an opener that will make opening with 623B unsafe (except sj.B might put you at a disadvantageous position), and if you land this Tager's already half gone. 623B opener also CHs 360A which surprised me cause I thought the invinciblity might grab the limb. Not really an issue since most Tagers will not start with 360A against Bang unless you repeatedly open with d.5A/d.5B. Meh nothing left to learn on Tager I feel like I know every nuance of this matchup :|.

[CT] Bang Shishigami Combination Arts FRKZ MERGED
rei-Scarred replied to AtTheGates's topic in Archive
Uh, you can only get one hit after activating FRKZ in CT because of the combo timer. In CT, for a safe activation mid combo I did etc -> OTG 2B 623B FRKZ 623B 6 dash. Gives you free oki in frkz and as far as i know is the only safe way to do it. -
EVO 2010 Tournament Results and Shoutouts

Damn Spark is that good? Can't wait to see the videos. Do you have the full CS bracket? -
Tsubaki embarasses the NOL with her stupidity. I laughed.

This won't be viable online, but if you are fighting a Tager offline unless they do their 720 after gadget at the last possible second (and of course this means they have to do a really really fast 720) you can easily hear them start the 720 (on sticks hehe) and j.D it instead of backdashing. I did this to Matthias at Power Up and he got mad lol. Later though he did a really fast 720 at the last second and that was much harder to react to and he caught me backdashing. That said I backdash most of the time off of GF. 6A is Tager's best option against a backdashing Bang it pulls him in real good, but if you get Tager trying to 6A you off GF that massive 5A damage for you if you read him correctly the next time. There's not much else I can say on this matchup. Youd think with Bang's tier list rise, and Tager staying in the same place this match would be even easier than in CT, but it feels about the same.

Against Hazama players that try to pull themselves in on a blocked chain for a crossup (I've played two Hazama's so far and they both did this) use Ashura. It is the most fun use of Ashura I've found so far lol. It may require an IB, but I hardly ever miss an IB on a chain so I wouldn't know. Though I suppose if Ashura works you could just airthrow for 5K :\ My point being Hazama can't fly in on a blocked chain and be safe but people do it anyway. Punish it.
