What FC combos are you guys doing on Mitsuru? The good 6k meterless ones don't work.

Confirming it? The game says fatal, you get like a good 50 frames to follow up afterwards. It's really easy to confirm fatal 5B since you're already gonna do 236A on block.

You can mash throw and throw him out of the SB Ducking crossup. Throw him out of boomerang hooks. Throw him out of regular corkscrew. Sweep after kill rush is usually a blockstring. AoA is the only option that beats throw, and it's combo punishable.

Akihiko is horrible.

AoA gets faster/safer over the course of gaining levels. Doesn't do more damage or give you a better followup combo. Sweep gets safer/more damage over the course of gaining levels. Loses the ability to special cancel it once you have at least 1 level of tornado.

This is America, Kanji won't block every overhead. I'll just hit him with one overhead. Anyway, after Kill rush A, you can jump and his command throw will whiff. Alternatively, AoA will also make grab whiff. AoA will armor his B+D too if he's late and then you land and mash 5B for Fetal Position Damage.

Apparently skill these days is now leveled upon how cool your combo is. Better go get MarlinPie. And yeah, Akihiko has OKAY tools and BEEG damage, but that isnt what you should base every Akihiko on. I can do suboptimal combos like hell, and drop every combo I do, and still get another hit because a lot of people are fucking terrible at neutral game thanks to BB's lack of one until high level play is achieved.

You're right, a 18 second long combo is so hard to watch because Aigis isn't hitting you, Athene is. It's just a fast flowing 'You're gonna die' combo. I don't are what's going on in it. Damage is happening to my opponent? I'm okay with that. 40% damage is good. You should be rewarded for being able to confirm combos off of your opponent's stupidity. 100% combos are better. It makes your opponent look real fucking stupid (Which they deserve to be called out on) if they get hella fatal'd and don't have a burst. The reason P4 is being picked up all over the place is because it is so accessible. It takes execution out of the game almost entirely with the exchange for like, a few timed special cancels and whatnot. In essence, it's a lot like DiveKick. Unadulterated footsies and mixups leading into "You'd better burst son" if your opponent messed up and did a bad reversal. I for one like a game where every character can play footsies and win off of said footsies. BB's flow was horrible, and deserved to be changed. Hence why BBCP seems to be a lot less combo oriented and right back to neutral or mixup according to loketest info.

Aigis wants to get in and mix you up. Guess what, you want to get in and mix up too. Rolling past 2B gives you a free fatal everytime. Lots of Aigis players I play know this and never do 2B anymore and instead just throw out 5B or wait and try to punish your roll attempt. Weird mind game here but it's probably the most important part of the match cause she needs to get into Orgia to get beeg damage. In Orgia mode, block 4 boost mixups and she'll run out of her orgia gauge and have to wait an exceedingly long time to go on the offense again. This is your chance. Even if you got hit by the last one, she's still out of gauge and can't keep pressure up. Trade that 4k damage for her life after you wake up. Can't duck/weave missiles. You'll get fatal'd and die. You can IB her sweep and if she orgia boost cancels forward it's a free 5A or double upper.

Blocking is so horrible I can't win a matchup! IB > Dash > Double Upper. Congratulations, never worry about auto combo blockstrings ever again. If Labrys charges axe and you get armored just do Double Upper on reaction to her DP. You'll win. Everytime. If Labrys does Chain Knuckle, just IB the chain and react to her running at you with a Tornado Upper or a 5A Oh no gears super? Just alpha counter if you're afraid of a horribly scaled combo that does jack nothing without a red axe super afterwards.

AHAHAHAHAHA. Every matchup Akihiko has is "Down-Back: The Game" Especially for your opponents. Whiff punish 5B/2B, Double upper 214B. Block slide. Just be patient. Do some fuzzies and eventually Narukami will get opened up. If you get knocked down, don't do anything but block properly. Never mash reversals.
