  3. Your Tager is equally strong. Much fun from these fights to be had.

  4. All of your normals beat Sledge. Sledge beats everything else. Note: Tager can sledge your staffless 5C. So if we IB staffless 5B, be careful. You may eat a combo.
  5. 2C is the only thing Tager has good in this match. Shame that under pressure he has to IB something to attempt it. Any good Taokaka is not going to be spamming unsafe stuff, so it'll be tough to punish. We really can just react to your mistakes and hurt you.
  6. The more you press A, the more the fight goes to your advantage. That's all the advice I have for you. Everything else can be IB'd or punished outright. 5A cannot. I can't IB 360/720 your jab. You can literally win a match by pressing one button.
  7. If you want to play auto mode, thinking you're so safe at the start, we can 2D underneath your superjump and collider you while you cloud. And apparently 5C hits you guys in the air right off the bat too.

  11. @Andy, Counter Assault makes Tager cry. Blockstring is usually 5Ax# 5B 5C/6A/6C(Overhead) 5D Sledge, repeat. If this is the first loop and you aren't magnetized, you can block his 5C and backdash before he can 5D. If you are, then wait until after 5D to backdash. Jab to collider is NOT an advanced tech trap. It's the same damn trap, the only difference is you're semi smart, you're in the corner, and you just took close to 400 more damage. Cry more. It's just 5A. There are nastier tech traps out there. But all the tech traps that do major damage are when you are airbourne. I can't anything AC anything if you mash 5D. The bigger tech traps don't require magnetism. As half of them are off of A sledge.
  12. We can backdash on wakeup and punish you heartily if you go right through with dive. j.B I don't think is backdashable.
  13. Looking at the range that you should be doing 214D it appears you already just caught him in a nice MY DEFENSES! combo that literally killed his health bar. Not to mention, shouldn't you just burst when he sledges you for a counterhit? It isn't like he can one shot you or anything once you bursted with full health. What's worse? Bursting your last 20% away because he CH sledged? Or bursting right away because you know damned well that he can't even catch you from full screen if you play your cards right. If Tager really attempts to move forward from full screen, you can just, you know, blockstring him back into the corner. Any type of tech, Tager will get hit by the damned thing unless he blocks or sledges. And if he blocks, you 2C into a nice blockstring that eats his libra, if he sledges, you get a 6k combo. If wrong, you only take about 4k and magnetism, which can easily be averted by using D's that don't move you off the ground. Or as I've found out, jump up for the collider, but j.C spam CH lead into combo from there.

  15. But 2C beats sledge hammer. The time spent from the blade hitting him gives you enough time to recover and 2C it. dotSafety does this constantly after a crescent blade combo ender. Only half the time he screws the timing up and I get the CH sledge, the other half I lose all my health because he'll RC the combo into 7k unless I burst.

  17. Oki with D is very good. Because if he attempts to sledge you can pulsar backwards and CH 5D or 6C. Try this: When they are knocked down up close, do 214D and charge it to the max if they roll tech, free combo. If they neutral tech and don't block, free combo. If they don't tech, free combo. If they tech and sledge, 2C that shit and 5k combo it.
  18. If you manage to hit Arakune doing something with that spark bolt, the cloud disappears.
  19. Yeah, you know you can take those moves out of the equation with IAD 5A spam thus eliminating the need to burn 50 heat.

  21. 5DD can be sledged before the 4DD on normal block. I find that the appropriate answer to this is to 5DD then go into Gate of Babylon DD. It'll eat the first few swords, but then Tager gets combo'd. You aren't invulnerable during act pulsar. I can 6A counterhit you out of it and continue for close to 4k, magnetism, and a tech trap guessing game. And you'd really want to not act pulsar too much. The only time you should pulsar is backwards. Or the Tager is ridiculously easy. Do not go auto mode on your combos. It's really refreshing and I smile real wide when I block a 3C and a Nu does the gravity well right on me. It hits me for 5 damage and gives me enough time to buffer 720. When catching a jumping Tager with no barrier in your Gate of Babylon super, don't 2C. Instead just 5C spam along with it and when it ends jump cancel into a grab. They'll be too busy mashing back they won't tech the grab. On another note, why the hell do you guys have a thread for this matchup? I thought you elitist Nu users thought Tagers below needing to strategize?
  22. Seriously asking as this I've seen countless times in higher levels of play and have yet to get a good answer. As, I've always seen a Jin try the 6C regardless of me trying to break ice or not. So, do we wiggle while frozen and risk the refreeze combo? Or do we let you continue your combo and end it? Which actually helps the most in the long run/risk reward? I'm seriously lost here. Thanks.
  23. At full health, if Tager doesn't Tech or anything, I think 12.
  24. It's the risk reward chart for the fork. Fork is very high risk, very high reward. I mean, 4k reward and free pumpkin/frog oki. Probably more interested in the whole air game. I can't seem to find normals that beat her j.2C. I settle for blocking, IBing the umbrella gives me enough time to stick a 360B out.
