If an Akihiko player does a Maziodyne and you block it, you can punish it with machine gun (236 A/B/EX) or Shield Super. Note if you block it from full screen and you want to use the Shield Super, use the C version since it's faster. Edit: I think there is a mistake, on the corner section. Akihiko has 3 overheads: all out attack, j.C and 5C.

I barely run into any Arakune's online, but I do know that you need to block well when you're cursed. I ran into one last night, he got me cursed, I survived by blocking his entire mix-up. And I was using my sub character. Didn't even have to DP. Lost the match though due to lack of match-up knowledge, but at least I won one round.

I want to set up a wired connection for my Xbox and PS3. All I need is an Ethernet cable but the only place near me that sells Ethernet cables is Radioshack, and it costs more than 16 dollars! Any of you guys know where I can get it cheap? Haven't checked Best Buy yet.

Can someone please explain this match-up. I played against a good Tao last night, it was xDist, and he beat me 5 to 1. Tao received a lot of changes that I don't know the match-up anymore.

When I finally get my chance to play GG, I want to try Millia, May, or Sol. Back to Rachel, has anyone tried doing an instant overhead jump-cancelling from 5A instead of 5B. I practiced it on CS2 but never experimented with it any further. Now I used it on other characters with Rachel in Extend. It goes like this... 2A>5A(1)>2D*>JC>j.A*>j.B>land>5B>combo. or 2A>5A(2)>2D*>JC>j.A*>j.B>land>5B>combo. (This version is slightly easier). *Note: The 2D part is tricky. Using 5A as a jump cancel instead of 5B is harder. You have to let the joystick (analog) return to neutral (5) then input 9. Do it too quickly and you'll super jump, messing up your mix-up. This works on most of the cast, surprisingly on Carl and Lambda. But with smaller hitbox characters like Hazama, Noel, and Litchi. I put 2A as the starter because it's easier to input the motion, for me that is. I can't follow it up with a second overhead jump-cancel j.b from j.b. But it will probably work on Tager. Maybe someone else can experiment on this for me.

Sigh...I'm one of those broke college students. I really like playing Blazblue. Calamity Trigger was my first fighting game that I wanted to play competitively. That same game also wanted me to get better and play other fighters competitively. I want to help you guys out, but I'm not sure what I can do. For one, I'm completely broke. I have no job and no money. In fact, I'm saving as much money as I can to buy Extend. Secondly, I can't go to tourneys or do anything else major right now. I have to take a big entrance exam so I can get in a university's education program, so fighting games aren't in my mind. And third, the new semester started, and I want to concentrate on school. I've entered in one tournament at EXPcon in Jacksonville, Florida. I had fun on my first day there, but when the tournament started the next day, some family "issues" came up in a bad way that caused me to be emotionally "unstable" sort of way. Entered the tournament pissed of that I got upset and angry and took it out on my opponents. Not a good way to start for me. I had money to enter in another big tournament, but choose not to go due to that incident and several personal reasons. Though that doesn't mean I don't want the community to grow. I want to help as much as I can. I usually plan ahead a week (sometimes two weeks ahead) and I'm usually free on weekends. When Extend comes out I plan on making beginner rooms and teach the basics of Blazblue to the new players. I'm planning to become a teacher so it will help me a little with my speaking and teaching skills. Hopefully, it will get new players get interested to take their play to the next level. I suggest everyone should do it.

Don't forget that his 5b can be jump-canceled to his j.C for an instant overhead. He can follow it up if he has 50% meter and/or use it to deal with the finishing blow. Watch out for it.
