  1. Mu can really screw you over with her lasers. Having a lot of those orbs(Totsuka Blade) can prevent you from zoning and summoning pumpkins and frogs. Her lasers get stronger when orbs continue to be active for a while so be careful. Not to mention the lasers cover her when she is rushing you, so it's hard to react. It covers her jump-ins too making it hard to anti-air her. When she doesn't have a lot of those orbs or none at all, her zoning is slightly limited and you can pretty much zone and summon. It's likely she will try to create orbs so prevent her from doing that with your zoning. Make her think twice about creating orbs by using lobelas and your poles. Rush her down using pumpkin and frog. Once you have her cornered, you have the advantage. She has a DP, so be careful with your block-strings. Some Mus will try to use their DP on wake-up as well. On the defensive, the only things that you should be looking out for are tick throws and 6b. 6b is her only overhead and only a few of her moves can chain to it(5a, 2a, 5b and 6a). Divine Wrath of the Heavens can explode any orb that's active and can continue her pressure if you get hit. This is still a bad match-up for Rachel but better now that our loli was buffed. 4.5/5.5 Mu's favor I'll do more research later. I'll update more when I'm done.
  2. You know, this is old but Jourdal mentioned that there was a JP Rachel player on top of the arcade leader-boards with 304 psr. I wonder who that person is anyway? It's clear that he/she doesn't play that much.
  3. I hate mirror matches. Whether it's Rachel or any other character I play, I tend to struggle with mirror matches. Though Rachel is the worst out of all the characters I play.
  4. Let me try to explain my situation more clearly. When I do try to attempt to loop (practice on Ragna) I usually succeed doing one or two reps. After that, my opponent just drops to the ground and I can't pick him/her up with 6c. I think my problem is either that I'm... 1. adding 6b 2. I'm not sure that I do 22bbc or 22bbbc 3. I'm not timing my dashes right. 4. My opponent is not high enough from the ground to do numerous reps. Though it doesn't affect Tager.
  5. I can't do the Haida loop. The thing is, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The only character I can do the loop on is Tager.
  6. My online matches are completely fine. There is little lag...... as long as someone isn't using the family computer. Then things start to screw up.
  7. Make sure that you instant block his chains. Hazama shouldn't be randomly approaching you with his chains. Instant block and use 6a to punish chain approaches. Remember you can punish Hazama easily if he tries to approach you full screen. It gets a little difficult to punish at mid-screen, hence, the reason why you instant block.
  8. I'm still confused about that throw break trick people have been talking about. How do you do it again?
  9. Thank you for posting this. I'm relearning Noel and I was looking information on the Haida loop.
  10. It wasn't a loop. Oh who cares about CS1 now. I'll try Carl again anyway. I need something to do in the mornings anyway. I'm dropping Hazama since I don't really feel like playing him anymore. I'll do the best I can with Carl. If not then...oh well.
  11. I'm talking about the 2d loop in CS1. It threw me off. His new loop seems simpler to me. Not easy, but simpler.
  12. I tried out Carl in CS1 and I was able to get some decent sandwich combos and corner combos from him. I was also able to control Ada decently. But, I dropped him because of his loop and I couldn't do it and it threw me off. Now he looks more appealing to me in CS2 now that his loop is gone. He has a new one, but it seems a lot more simpler to me. After I learn Noel basics, I'm thinking of trying Carl once again. The question is that, is he a lot simpler and straight to the point in CS2 and I don't have to learn anything stupid (I'm talking about the loop in CS1). Again, I did learn pretty basic sandwich and corner combos. And I was able to learn most of his mix-ups in CS1.
  13. Man I rarely meet ANY dustloop members on Xbox Live. Is it because not many of them have Live accounts or I'm not playing at the right time or nobody knows me. All I get to play is low to decent players.
  14. A new thread huh, dang. Finally Rachel players will get revenge from all the Bang and Litchi players after a freaken year. God it's great to be a Rachel player.
  15. I do not main Makoto. I just need to know some common block strings and/or mix-ups Makoto players use so I can work on my defense against her.
  16. Ragna has some trouble against Rachel's zoning. He doesn't have a lot of tools against it or he doesn't have any at all. Carnage Scissors can't go through projectiles, although it's been like that since CS1. The important thing is that Rachel players cannot be predictable with their zoning. Use lobelas, poles, frog, and pumpkins at your full extent. Use wind to mix-up your zoning. If you run out of wind, stay calm and continue to use your lobelas and your poles. If you want, you can use Tempest Delilah if you have no wind. Use 6a as well if he tries to go by air. If you do, Ragna will have a very hard time with you. Just one more thing, it's important to not get cornered. Do NOT get cornered by Ragna. Corner pressure is his specialty. It'll be worse if he uses Blood Kain. I'll post more stuff on Ragna when I have the free time.
  17. When are we having a new match-up thread. There are some characters I'm already having trouble with. Looks at Hakuman.
  18. I just don't know what to do. I use 5cdc in the corner like usual. I lay a frog and try to use 3c but it doesn't hit. Maybe timing difficulties. I can't throw a b lombela either so that doesn't help. The only thing I could do was a 3c>BBL
  19. This match-up should be back in Rachel's favor. Considering he loses to her zoning and the fact he can't jump at her anymore. There is still more stuff about this match-up, but I'll keep playing her for a while and see.
  20. I'm having trouble doing combos in the corner. The new 5cc messes me up. Anyone know what to do.
  21. What are some good combos off a CH 5b? I know you can cancel to 3c if 5b is a counter.
  22. You think I can help as well? I'm free after my class at 4:00.
  23. Man I haven't even played melty blood yet. Oh well, this game looks sweet. Linne :D
  24. More Buppa: Video 1 Video 2 Video 3 One video 2 a certain combo interests me 3c(CH)>214DC>>66>6C>66>5C>2C>6D~A>4D~A>j.7D>623D>j.3D~D>6C>66>2C>j.c(x5)>land>5C>623D>632146C 6.3k(rounded) Edit: a different version(same video) 3c(CH)>214DC>>66>6C>66>5C>2C>6D~A>4D~A>j.7D>623D>j.3D~D>6C>66>2C>JC>j.B>j.C(x2)>JC>j.C(x5)>j.214b 4.8k I think both of them are shorter than a Litchi CS1 combo. Edit: fixed
  25. I don't think so, since it's a corner combo or if you use a cat chair.
