She will probably be freed, but it's not like the arcade stories are all canon.

Break the combo up into smaller pieces and do those pieces first. In other words, if the combo is B > C > Hell's Fang, then do the B > C part until you can do it without messing up, and then add try doing it again but with Hell's Fang tacked onto the end. If the combo keeps going then just keep going in that manner until you can do it all. Then practice it several times in a row. Just because you did it once after trying 50 times doesn't mean you can do the combo. You have to be able to do it consistently, so try to do it 10 times successfully in a row. It will take a while though. But before you even try to do combos, practice doing your separate special moves consistently.

Is that really any different than any other balancing team. I mean look at Capcom. I always figured balancing properly would be something beyond most game design teams anyway aside from happy accidents. Mainly because, just since you made the game doesn't mean you're going to be a pro at it. Their judgement and how they look at things isn't necessarily going to be the same thing as someone who can win tournaments. Loketests apparently don't do enough either given the results.

What about Hakumen.

It's different for Hakumen. We get free meter anyway, and faster than usual this time. You're basically saying to buy now what you can get for free a little while later. It could be more useful depending on the matchup but I still feel like it would be better spent later into the match. But it all depends, so yeah. I might rather even use the burst instead depending on if I'm fighting Mu or something with her huge damage.

I'd rather just save it for a 9k combo.

So is Ragna actually the reincarnated Black Beast? That was always the vibe I got, but from the way things played out in CS it seems like it's just the Azure Grimoire he uses that gives him that property and if you gave it to anyone else it would be the same thing. But Hakumen and others always act like there's something special about Ragna specifically.

They should just make GETB do 10k and get it over with. Problem solved.

Killing him -> cutting his arm off and burning down the village That whole "she only bit Ragna once" though I'm not so sure about. I always thought she did it at the beginning of each timeline to keep him alive long enough when his arm got cut off. Otherwise, he just bleeds to death in the rain.

Eh, for all I know I'll end up using it at the start of the match since I'm pretty aggressive without stars anyway. Don't need stars to mess with people with 6B/3C and tick throws. Biggest advantage I can see is the difference in resources. You'd have some meter and they haven't had a chance to build any up yet.

That Haku match where he uses OD at first didn't seem like it helped that much. I mean, what's the big rush? It's not like, just because you have stars, suddenly you're going to be able to hit them. You're still going to spend a good 10 or more seconds playing neutral either way, and during that time you'll gain stars. When he finally did a combo that used stars, he used like 4 stars, which he would have had anyway if he hadn't used OD. So in the end him using OD made no difference. I can see how it could be useful, but a lot of the time by the time I actually get in on the opponent I have tons of stars anyway. And now his meter gain is faster.

I know exactly which part you're talking about. We were both almost dead and you were near the left corner. I was actually trying to provoke you into using it. That's why I was like 2A... 2A... 2A and waiting for you to use it. What you did not see was that I also had a burst and 8 stars. :3
