It's not about patience or impatience. It's moving when you have an opening. If it takes 60 seconds of blocking, poking and moving around to make your way in, then you will have to take the 60 seconds. If you can make an opening in 10 seconds then 10 is fine.
But you might as well call that patience. It's developed by necessity because if you just run in there against Lambda or someone else they're going to destroy you. You have to be ready for very specific times and moments to make your move. But you'll only acquire the feeling and knowledge of that through experience, so don't get too obsessed with finding the perfect moments.
