Rube, you can't rely on other people to do the learning for you. You have to use your mistakes as pointers for what went wrong, and then ask questions and do research to find out what to do next. Whenever I get owned by something, I try to think of what I had a problem with, and then what moves I could do to stop it. Then you could experiment in training mode or during matches to see if it works. In any case, you shouldn't get salty at them from playing how they want to, because they're playing to enjoy the game for themselves, not to be your personal trainer. Unless that's why they got on.

Look at it from a longer perspective. Don't worry about winning each individual match that you're in. It's not like that specific match is the end of the world if you lose. Just focus on blocking for a few matches, and just look for overall improvement through a period of time instead. Use them as experiments instead.
