Guilty Gear FAQ Thread - Ask your questions here!

Did Justice ever get balanced for competitive play? She looks like a character I can like. Her design reminds me of Hakumen and Nu. -
5B > 5C > Hell's Fang is enough for me.

Reminds me of that Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark book that I read as a kid. There was a story with something just like that. That book was scary as hell.

What do you call it if you're bored and not really paying attention because you don't care. That's not really sandbagging but the effect is pretty much the same.

Nah, I'm not playing now. The power went out from that huge storm that hit the East Coast so I became a nomad, wandering the earth in search of air conditioning and internet. It's been out since Friday. It just seems everyone is using gold a lot more lately.

I don't really care about people getting 8k or whatever, but I wish it wouldn't have to be a some 40 hit combo. If we're going to have so much damage we might as well go back to CT style with a few hits ~> a ton of damage.

[CSE] Noel Vermillion General Gameplay Discussion.

You mean fun? :toot: -
I was playing that with my brother last night. I forgot how many inputs they changed for Hakumen. It's so disorienting. Every combo was like 4 hits and 4.5k. And bursting is so ridiculously fast, it's awesome. Haku has no way of having oki though; I forgot I used to have all these little tricks to try and keep people from just running away, but it's all lost in the past now. But JIN. Jin is amazing. Those blue beat make-your-own ice combos, I love it.

I don't think playing the AI is very helpful. It just does random stuff and you can't "read" it like a normal person. It's better to just play the game against normal folks. Anyway, when you're first starting out beating the AI on 100 is no easy task. From what Agni says, he sounds like he's at the level where he's still learning stuff like B > C > Hell's Fang and remembering which button does what. No matter what you read here, it's not going to stick until you've played enough to get a good feel for things. You'll just forget about it and panic during the match until then.
-
It's your first match. Giving it any super importance is like trying to ride a bike, falling off once and then saying "Wow I'll never learn what's the point." You won't even be really remotely competent 'til you have like 1000.
-
That happens to Inferno Divider too, but you just recover first and can rape him while he's on his way down. However, I think you should be able to cancel j.B into a new jump if it hits.

Don't let your guard down...

You can have someone mod the stick so it works on both. Although you have to be careful who you let look at your stick. My brother tried that with his 360 stick at EVO once and the stick got so mangled that somehow it turned into PS3 only even though all we have is an XBOX. But otherwise it'll let you use it for both.

Was it? I thought Ragna had an advantage there too.
-
Sounds solid except for the MU being 5-5, especially with Ragna being S tier. 5-5 means both sides have equalish answers to everything. This is more like Ragna keeping Tager out with his superior normals until you screw up. Then again, I don't play either of them. :3 Just seems like common sense though. It kind of feels like fighting Lambda.

[CS2-CSE] Carl Clover General Discussion - Shota Shorts Edition
mAc Chaos replied to Rishtopher's topic in Archive
So in the end he turned out the complete opposite than he appeared. Hilarious. -
That is a self defeating mindset. You'll give up early when if you had just pushed a little further you could have broken the enemy's back. If you had a more positive outlook, on the other hand, you could always push after the slightest chance and end up developing a lot more than you would have otherwise. I'm always excited to find people better than me and practically want them to beat me. THE CHALLENGE The greater the wall, the greater the victory when you scale it. It's boring if you win easy.

Nah, it was pretty good. Or at least I liked it when I watched it. It wasn't as complete as the VN, but so what. It didn't include the other two routes from the game (which would basically each require their own series) so a lot of people who want it to have the entire VN rage about it. You can't really fit a huge game that's practically 80 hours into a 24 episode show without cutting some stuff. I mean, if you liked Fate Zero, then it's the same type of show with mostly the same cast. They had to cut a lot of stuff from the last two episodes of Fate/Zero too due to time constraints, which is why it might be a little confusing. The Blu Ray versions will have more. Fate/Zero pretty much spoils the entire thing though. :P Or at least all of the biggest twists. Still worth seeing if you want to see how all the stuff that got set up for Fate/Zero gets resolved though, since the entire show is supposed to be a big leadup to it. But anyway, I doubt you will listen so. :P

I save my Fate posts for when I need them.
-
Yeah. Do you want me to PM it to you. :P WHICH PART do you have QUESTIONS about. When it comes to Fate I am Blade.
