I like Five Guys too, but it's so heavy. Every time I go there I feel like I need to wait another 3 months before trying again.

Chickfila's better.

I found some success using j.A to beat out her air attacks in speed, but you can't really get anything off it so it's not worth it except to interrupt her rhythm. Any thoughts on pressuring her? It would be so much easier if her 2A didn't low profile our 2A, but it does, so it makes things a bit different. Not to mention that it's 6 frames on top of that.

Yeah, that's fine. I just haven't seen any Hakus that any particularly good Hakus yet; it feels like there's a lot of beginners out there or something. But it's hard to notice if there's anything good if all the Haku matches are slipping by.

so uh are we still updating this thread
-
Damn. I suppose I should mention that none of Haku's air options really help you if Tao is in the air ABOVE you. She comes in with an attack, and j.C won't hit high enough and just get you CH. So you'll either have to block or do Hotaru, if it doesn't get baited out. If you ever want to try and attack it's best to do it when she's coming from below. Her 6A is a real pain.

I love the shotgun. Best weapon.

[CS1-CSE] Road to Ikaruga - The Bang Social thread - Do you even 3c?
mAc Chaos replied to DaiAndOh's topic in Bang Shishigami
Well, it's not like we're never going to give it to them, period. But people develop in stages. It's not really a matter of a "fair start" since they wouldn't be able to use it anyway. It's like dumping a bunch of calculus equations on someone in second grade. It's not going to even do anything. But later when they start improving, there's no law saying we can't show it to them then or they can't start seeking it out. It's hard to say you're wrong though, because I'm the same way as you. But I just assume everybody else needs to go one step at a time or whatever. I mean, I still go back and watch Haku CT videos, and I remember watching them way back when and wondering what the hell they were doing. But now I look back, and I see stuff that they were doing all the way back then that I just picked up like five months ago and thought was new. That or there would be something always there as an option, but it would be invisible to me until I had developed the prerequisite skill to handle it. Then all of a sudden it was like a light bulb went off and I saw how it was to be used, as if it was so obvious all along. -

I think you would want to focus on the most basic fundamentals first, for a new player, so you don't confuse them. The more advanced stuff, even if they read it, will just fall on deaf ears since they won't be able to use it properly. Though I suppose just having it out there for when they CAN handle it is fine. -

training mode wont help you with matchup experience or spacing or knowing when to poke out of what, etc just getting combo execution down and even that will take implementation in real matches to get down -

"I have about 2500 CT matches. Not sure how many I have in CS so far, but I didn't get past 100 without accepting that I'll lose a lot, and my own metric should be if I'm having fun or not. I've lost probably 80% of my CT matches. " This doesn't really mean anything for CS. I have more games for CT than CS1 and 2 combined, but I was inept when switching over to CS at first. The core of the character is the same, but the matchups are different in some cases and you have new combos and new characters to deal with. Plus, aren't you a Litchi player? So that's not gonna really matter for Bang. You'll still need a lot of games to get the hang of it. -

I had a dream last night where you could do 360s and 720s in the air. Add that to CSX.

The difference in options is just an opportunity for you to beef up some other aspects of your game that you didn't have to rely on before, so don't think of it as a loss.

Is Blazblue a good competitive fighting game in your opinion?
mAc Chaos replied to Dragonslayer9's topic in Archive
I think he means the one where she just stays frozen for the rest of the game, or whatever it was. -
There's always 2C and AC if you want to just call out a jump.
-
5A doesn't stop jump outs that well though since it just hits them in the air and they end up teching away since 5A doesn't combo into 5C or anything, I think. Wouldn't 2B be the best anti jump? Or 6A for backdashes and jumps.

Arakune isn't on that list...

What's the point of posting a match playing if it doesn't reflect your actual playing though. You might as well play with your eyes closed. Like these guys.
-
why would you play with a second of lag *explodes* i hope you dont do that against me :P also i swear the match you posted here disappeared....
-
Well, GF is +3, but if you have a normal knockdown you have a lot more time to set up some move. On the other hand, GF basically forces them to neutral tech. What's the difference other than that? I used to have an idea but it's been so long.
