There's nothing wrong with having a debate. It's better to hash out all of the best options. It's hard to imagine making Mu's DP whiff... since she doesn't move during it and you'd be dashing directly into it. But for Ragna and Makoto's it should work, although with how far Makoto's carries her, and with Kishuu moving Haku past her, she might actually be too far away to punish.

dont think i saw it, or at least i dont remember seeing anything outside the usual corner juggling. getting and holding 8 starts is the hard part, if youre playing a real match youre going to be using them on normal combos most of the time unless you decide to hold back or are fighting lambda or something. although i pretty much end every match with like 8 stars... but thats because i always do the cheapest combos.

yeah from what i recall in cs1 he didnt really have any variety it was all the same combos over and over. nip them with a move -> freeze em -> ice car into corner etc axis, i dont remember any real 8k combos outside of the normal corner rape for like 7 stars. and if youre gonna spend that much in the corner and DONT get something like 8k then its just sad. hes pretty much just like his cs2 incarnation except they smoothed out his average damage, he can do longer combos off most of his starters.

I remember some CT rapid cancel combos getting 8k or something like that. 2 j.2Cs and it was already like 4k.

Well, don't forget that's one of the oldest of the oldest videos. If you find other later matches you'll see that everybody puts up fierce opposition.

whys everybody want to switch, because jin is C? pft. jins always had the tools to deal with what he has to. you guys are good enough to handle that. you just have to worry about getting random'd out by makoto style characters.

That's because they never played CT~! It's still Lambda's most favorable matchup probably. But that doesn't mean you can just put down the controller and win. You mean 6D after it being blocked in the air?

Have your thoughts on the matchup changed any?

The only times I've had j.2A make a void were freak accidents, unless you're talking about her 214D.

You could just block and punish still, can't you? I thought I saw throw combos going into renka(1) that didn't involve 2C first... What's the kishuu enma combo near the corner you do that involves 5C 2C? I usually do [starter] > 623AA > j.2C > 2C > j.2A > j.2A > IAD j.2A > j.C > land > j.2A > j.2A > IAD j.2A > j.C > 5C > 3C.

Oh, so you mean you can do it in other combos besides Hotaru starter? Also, I was always wondering how to do throw > Renka(1) in the corner because I could never get that to work properly. Although I'm not even sure if the 2 stars for an extra 1000 damage or whatever is even worth it.

What's the condition for landing the 5C > 2C link? I've seen it used during Hotaru combos a lot, but I can't do it. Does it have to be a CH, or certain timing / distance?

I didn't mean anything by it. I just mean there isn't much you can do from full screen. It limits your options. Which is counterintuitive since you would think you would want to be as far as possible with Lambda all the time.

What do you mean 1 > BC > 3C? Hit them all right after another? Or block the first hit, then try to throw, then 3C? Not sure what you mean.

What's wrong with Haku's 2B? If you're close enough to do 2B that means you're getting in with Haku, so that's good.

You just have to wait for your opening.

It's good for dealing with jump ins. I don't use it much though.
