It works. You can hit Bang. I just tested it. For a split second after the super flash, Hakumen turns around and faces Bang. If you input Hotaru in that moment, you can hit him. But it requires strict timing; otherwise it just whiffs. But either way you're safe. Actually I just figured out an easy way to time it: watch Bang. The moment he vanishes, input Hotaru. By the time he reappears, he will get hit. And if he does it when you're on the ground, you can Renka him out of it.

Tier list deals with matchups, and matchups deal with tools. So a higher tier character generally has better tools at his disposal.

Just getting negative penalty isn't a big deal. I'll fight Nu's that zone all day, get negative penalty, and it doesn't matter because they'll just keep zoning and I can't get them. It only matters if you make a mistake and they hit you.

Hakumen's blockstrings have plenty of gaps, and anything with gaps is Tager food. If you go in on Tager as Hakumen you're playing Russian roulette. You're better off zoning him, although you'll still want to learn your way around him up close. Playing against the AI though is a waste of time. Go find some Tager players.

That's pretty much his character though. That and you have plenty of time to just 5A mash him out of the backdash anyway if you don't walk right into it.

What's with the universal backdash nerfs anyway. Was backdashing a huge problem in CP or something.
