That means they don't know about it?

@SWD: Don't all advanced players do that? Once you get comfortable enough with your character's normals and know what connects to what you can just wing it when something unexpected happens. Hakumen's combos are all like that especially since they're pretty modular. You just swap in one move for another based on stars you have and the route you want. The easiest way to learn this though is think of the times in a match when you got some random hit that you couldn't capitalize on because it was at an awkward range or spacing or because you didn't expect it, then go into training mode and come up with a combo for it. Then next time it happens you'll be ready. There's definitely footsies, people who say there aren't are wrong. They're just thinking that SF footsies = footsies in general and that because BB footsies are different that it doesn't count.

Javascript? Are you sure you don't mean Java? -
...Unless it's a console only glitch. :V
-
It's not like anyone complains whether it's a legit thing if the glitch helps a character, like Carl. Live by the glitch, die by the glitch. Who are you going to switch to? Let's also consider that the tier lists that placed Hakumen at A or B (or D?), were still made by fighting this version of Hakumen with this glitch all along. Even if they didn't know about the glitch, they still had to fight him and place him according to his performance, which secretly included the glitch as part of it.

I thought the cut in meter gain was all the time, not just in combos. I'll ask around for some testing.
-
Well, it got cut in half. So just measure how many seconds it takes to gain 8 stars normally, then divide that by 99 seconds and cut the answer in half. Although that's ignoring stuff like Hakumen gaining at an increased rate when at low health, but that's cut in half too. But at least you can get a general approximation of the default gain.
-
Why would it be intended? It's too hilarious to be on purpose. If anything they forgot to turn off the meter decrease after Hakumen gets combo'd, because he was supposed to lose some of it while in hitstun right?

This sounds like stuff I did in like 8th grade as a hobby, like making terrible 90s html websites. I didn't go asking people to do it for me. All of the fun and experience of these things comes from figuring out and making it happen yourself. -
Amazing. Good catch, rax. Very observant. How did nobody notice this until now. > no difference in OD Do you mean it's still half in OD? Can you do some more testing to see if it is an actual glitch? dot_nova on Twitter brought up the point that it might only apply to the first combo and might reset to normal after the second one, or some other situation might set it back to normal. Why don't the rest of you who have the game try and see what other situations it works or doesn't work in?

I wouldn't.

Well, they could also bait the OS by doing a tick when you expect a throw and grabbing you out of barrier. But I guess that falls under timing it correctly like you said.
-
No. If you want to ask questions, make the thread title about that and not flame bait.

Break your post up into paragraphs to make it easier to read, or it is unlikely to get many replies.

Discuss the matchup with Ragna's girlfriend here.

But I asked like every year about playing BB and I always got the response that nobody plays anymore. I heard recently there were a lot of people playing CPEX though.
-
I heard through the tweetvine that you guys play BlazBlue now. Is this true?
-
Stuff like purple throws is usually called netplay tactics but when you think about it pretty much everything becomes a "netplay tactic" when all of your spacing and timing gets thrown off in lag.

Wait, isn't he being Observed? -
Part of pressure is baiting out DPs, you don't just go YOLO 24/7. You have to make them fear doing it. If you're just running face first into them all the time then of course you'll get DP'd, but that just means the pressure is weak.
