Actually I was considering that while gathering the frame data earlier. I personally think 5B is way more dependable than 2A. 5B has a better time hitting crouchers and airborne opponents than 2A. It has better active/recovery frames so it's less susceptible to punish on whiff. On block, it can go into 2B for the croucher. And best of all, 5B can gatling into 6B on whiff for the airborne. 6B's hitbox is kind of crap (against crouchers), but it's really useful against airborne opponents and is jump cancellable. I think in any circumstance I hit 2A and lost, 5B would have won or equally led to the same outcome. Besides, if your opponent is too far to use 5B with, you're probably far enough to dodge an attack with a backdash... that is unless you're cornered, to which I would keep blocking until they attempt to readjust their range (easiest with a jump after a jump cancellable move) and then I would 5A/6A.

Thanks. I was playing a bunch of online matches against Makoto, Relius, and Jin. Kept getting hit out of the start up of my jump. Let's see: Jump is 4f, Backdash invulnerability is 5f, Fatest normal is 6f.

HexaNoid described my life story with fighting games. Also, how long is the start up for Lambda's jump? I can't seem to find that info anywhere in the guide.

Ugh, I got destroyed by a Hazama online who seemed to know how to counter every option I had. His opening was jump back, j.6DD>j.B. This countered opening 2D/IAD back j.6D/6D. He even full screen snake dashed into an airgrab as soon as I leave the ground. He knew the ins and outs of the entire matchup, including a sweetspot opening after a Burst that could avoid 6D/2D and get right back in.

I started winning more netplay matches when I focused on shorter combos that end with 236D/214D pressure. If they get hit by my mixup, I'll starter>2B>2C>5C>3C>236D again and again and again until they Burst or block the pressure, to which I will reset my spacing after a jump cancellable move. I don't even go for 236B>RC combos unless it kills.

Sledge B is +1 on block, so you really need to gauge the range of his attack. Don't jump when he's at the point where he can release it and get to you. You don't want to be falling from a jump after you block it. You also don't want to be caught by it when your IAD backwards.

Sledge B is kind of funky in this version. Once Tager gets past the startup, he can hold Sledge for an extended amount of time by holding B. If and when he releases B, Sledge instantly comes out- stuffing the majority of punishes we would have been able to get him with prior to Extend. If he gets through the startup, you're better off blocking it.

I'll level up my Bang in the meantime. Gonna get as pro as Dora. -
Let's see, 20 minutes in PSN time is equivalent to 0.1 matches. How many matches is that in Xbox Live time?

Actually, with the situation we were both in, it was impossible to do so. I had about 3000 HP and was at the advantage when he had 5 HP. Then he closed in and did a combo that put me in the corner with 5 HP. He was doing corner pressure and I tried to look for an opening for 5A/2A. His blockstring ended and I tried to do 2A to prevent him from dashing in, but he dashed in and 2B'd me before I could do 2A and it killed me.

I'll have my revenge, M19Kamikaze. We both had 5 HP, 1 Primer, no Barrier, no Heat, at the last possible round of the tournament match. If only I wasn't the one in the corner...

Unblockables shouldn't be that much of a problem in this match. Unless he's doing a reset on a grounded Lambda, all we really need to do is pay attention to our tech timing. Too early and we'll fall into his hands, too late and he'll continue/start a combo.

I'm really liking A>B>C>C>A>B..er, wrong game.

You don't have to be ballsy. Just dash and 2B to completely evade it. Works 100% of the time.

I like Lambda as an evolving, developed character. Her armor mode also looks better than Nu's. I like Nu because of her psychopathic personality, her sexual innuendos, and the school girl tones. And Nu without armor is sexier than Lambda any day of the week. However, Nu's love for Ragna seems artificial while Lambda's seemed genuine and gave her inner struggle, depression, and a motive people watching a story would root for. I'd have to go with Lambda.

Real players use Red, Black, and Silver.

Edit: Salt it is.

Play Blazblue with her AS the date. Genius! And it will be cheaper!

Can't wait til tomorrow... too bad I have a date.

Regardless of how they do the frame data, 236C still has 30 frames of startup. I doubt it can be used to punish. But that frame data makes me curious nonetheless... everything I knew was a lie?!?
-
Think of it like Jin's Gale. Completely invincible to everything, but vulnerable at the end. And as for punishing it, that dodge is 37 frames in total, including the 4 frames of recovery. 236C has 30 frames of startup while 236D has 62 frames of recovery. If Relius dodges 236D, he will be 37 frames into Lambda's recovery. Lambda will have 25 frames left to recovery from while Relius can dash in and CH her. 236C is not even an option...
