  1. No, the only things (colors included) from the game that we've been able to see are those that are unlockables via Nesica account for the arcade. Since the first 6 colors are default, they would not appear in the things to be unlocked so we don't get them. D:
  2. Words cannot express the joy I am feeling right now. Anyway, this combo is something I'd hope would turn up because it shows that we can get a combo off a ground hit of j.C (which is useful for zoning and therefore really practical). Also the amount of damage that fist does at the end of a combo is delicious. And Shin, I see that avatar and sig change. It didn't have to be this way. D:
  3. And finally there's our Hariken cancel combo midscreen! It makes me curious as to where else we could use it (combo-wise).
  4. If you're referring to the ball, then it's because they're all being just slightly re-sized to give them a more uniform appearance.
  5. Tao and Carl have lower health by 500, but your point still stands in that chip is gonna hurt him bad. I remember seeing in one of the vids where Ragna lost about 1/3 health from a drill + 6D oki because they only used barrier for a split second.
  6. Using 50 meter to get out of an oki setup and not even guaranteeing that he will be able to continue pressure seems like a rather risky and expensive move on Ragna's part. Ragna players will have the choice of either taking the oki or committing what might end up being most of their meter usage just to escape it, which is a win in itself.
  7. Mu is sounding pretty interesting in this game. If I do use her at all, color 7 will be mine. Come at me, C0R.
  8. I haven't seen it happen but I'd imagine it's possible. An RC wouldn't be necessary unless you were planning on continuing with another air move, which makes me wonder if a very low j.2B followup would be useful to go into a combo much larger than his typical ground strings. Then again idk if an air D attack would even have enough hitstun to allow that to work, but I'm curious nonetheless.
  9. There's no rule like that or anything so if you want to you could, but I always at least check to see the bottom post just in case. I was just a little late checking up on it at the time is all.
  10. Sorry I didn't catch your edit right away, but your inputs look good (except the heat gain was 24). That looks like a solid corner BnB and the go-to combo after a 236C in the corner.
  11. I completely agree. Most loops in any game are just really dull, with only a few exceptions. I am glad that we can use the fist twice in the corner though, since it's got potential for pretty good damage from what we've seen so far.
  12. Are you referring to SMP in general or did it change in some way for BBCP?
  13. 3C is special cancellable, so you assumed correctly. That means we can make it safe on block with a backwards fabhop, unless it's safe already (in which case it might be good in pressure then).
  14. Ask any Amane-related questions here. Story, gameplay, or otherwise. If you are asking a question, BOLD the question. To make things a little easier to follow, QUOTE the question that you are answering. I may make an FAQ section if I see multiple questions being asked repeatedly.
  15. For several reasons really. An unintended consequence of the group is that it did in fact take away from the traffic in the Tsubaki subforum itself, but the main reason is that a group would not address the main issue of not being able to fish through several pages of info to find what you want. A gameplay thread would be no different than this one in that respect, so there would be some futility in putting harsher rules on the thread without actually changing much (since the vast majority of this thread is already gameplay-related). A Q&A will get you what you need right away without having to read though a whole bunch of pages where your question may not even be answered. But this did give me the idea to make a guide thread, but that wouldn't be until sometime after console release.

So I just got a really good idea regarding the whole gameplay thread thing- We can just leave this thread as-is and then have a Q&A thread to answer any questions that aren't immediately answered in the other threads. The discussions in this thread seem very fluid and often relate to original ideas that could be a few pages back, and this would honestly be no different with a gameplay thread that was free of anything else. A Q&A thread would allow anyone to instantly get the answer to whatever they were wondering about without having to search through several posts/pages of discussion (be it gameplay or otherwise) and would not disrupt the current conversation in here or run the risk of having your question/answer to your question getting buried. I wouldn't even mind answering the same question multiple times if it means helping everyone. :3
  17. And if the opponent is crouching, the 5C will whiff even if they're at the correct range. 2C is a generally safer option.
  18. Very well said, Shin. I can make a gameplay thread if everyone likes the idea. After all it's about everyone here, not just me. :3 Also don't forget to check the combo and video threads, as they are both regularly updated. And speaking of which, I should take a close look at the new vids to see if we have anything new.
  19. I understand your concern, but to use TYG as an example, when the group was formed the Tsu boards themselves were actually getting LESS traffic than before. My concern is that if the rules are too strict, people might feel too intimidated to post (a story I've heard far too often) and their potential contributions go unheard. Now that I think about it, the best bet might be to make an "Amane Gameplay" thread for everything strictly gameplay, so that way things like palettes/wishlist/asking poor Bedsheets for more requests can all stay in this thread without the gameplay info being lost. It seems to be working quite well in the Jin boards at least.
  20. My only concern with starting a group at this point is that it might separate where people share legitimate info on Amane, since everything off topic so far has stemmed from actual discussion. With us getting new info just about every day (huge thanks yet again to Bedsheets for getting us so much of that), info added to a group might more easily become lost or would more likely be missed by someone. Something after console release would definitely be in order though.
  21. iirc Ragna's 5B got continually worse ever since CT, though your point about meaties still stands. OD > super should beat them every time at least, just in case you need to make sure you'll be safe.
  22. This thread moves so fast lol. Anyway as far as burst punishes go, I bet we could even punish bursts low to the ground/on the ground with a 2C. Anyone who tries to burst out of Amane's C attacks (or anything at that range) is just asking to get hit with a combo.
